Omggggg I'm here finally after waiting for 2 plus years! The SA was super duper friendly and knowledgeable! Almost 80 percent of the scent smells very unique and definitely a place to splurge if you want to smell good. I'm so sad I was not able to get some samples but it is what it is. Maybe another time if I visit again. I love my pick and can't stop smelling it. The fragrant definitely lingers and long lasting if you spray it on clothes instead of skin. My friend and I passed by this shop but it really caught my eye. It looked luxuriously designed from the outside looking in. It immediately caught my attention when I noticed it was fragrances inside. The associates were so knowledgeable and helpful. At the risk of sharing New York's best kept perfume secret, I love Fueguia! It's an Argentinian brand that uses only natural ingredients -- some are plants that I've never heard of before -- but the perfumes are strong, better, and the sales associates are way more helpful here, with patience and an encyclopedic amount of knowledge of over 100 perfume options. I have been helped a few times by Julia, and must-try scents I've bought are Thays, El Mono de la Tinta, Amber de Los Andes, and Humboldt. It's like a museum of perfume ingredients in there. You won't smell like everyone else. Prepare your wallet though: you pay for the high quality. I heard that Fueguia (pronounced "fway-ya") is opening a second NYC store on Madison Avenue, bravo! read more

There are special and beautiful shops cropping up on Crosby these days (along with a few lovely boutique hotels). I was wandering down the street a few days ago with a friend from out of town, and we came upon this gorgeous little Argentinian perfume shop. As someone who's very sensitive to manufactured scents, I often avoid parfumeries (there is nothing worse than the chemical scents sprayed in one's general direction in department stores), but we happily spent almost half an hour here with a knowledgeable, pleasant saleswoman, sniffing the glorious glass decanters, and my nasal passages stayed clear. That's major. The scents are complex, delicate and I'm told, all-natural (with price tags to match, but worth it, they are all quite unique... wood, fruit, musk). I sprayed a bit of one on my wrist, and it lasted the rest of the day, revealing layers of notes. Really lovely. read more

After finding this place several years ago and having some management issues with mixed up orders and management being rude to staff that were helping us we came back again to buy more fragrance. The new staff was amazing! The scents are incredible and like nothing else on the market. They are not cheap mass marketed scents so don't be surprised by the prices. Went to little shop and the shop attendant was super helpful and informative. She walked me through many of scent profiles and help me figure out the scent that I liked. Would recommend if you're looking to invest in atypical signature scent. While the cologne may seem pricey when you take in account the quality and concentration of the cologne it's actually well priced. read more

Had the most wonderful experience at this beautiful boutique. The two women (I believe named Lucy and Tasha) were incredibly friendly, helpful and very knowledgable about each of the fragrances. There are no synthetic ingredients, just natural ones and the scents are all truly unique. I smelled a lot of them and single out one I wanted to test out on my skin. I could still smell it the next day. I was with my mother and she dud the same. We agreed that of all the perfume shops we went to, this had the most unique scents and it was definitely the one we want to return to. The shop was a pleasant surprise located on a corner street in Soho, decor was interesting and in entering you're greeted with seemingly 50 scent options all meticulously arranged on a table. BUT. A big BUT. The two shopgirls could not have been more condescending, they were engrossed in their own conversation and being new to the brand, I had tons of questions. They couldn't be bothered and each reply was met as if it were the biggest chore in the world. At one point they just started a conversation between themselves about their favorite scents, completely ignoring me. At one point I mentioned I never noticed this store before and one of them snickered saying I must not be in NY and I replied actually I lived nearby on Thompson. The weird attitude turned me off from wanting to explore and spend my money on the brand. (And also, living in NY, I'm used to snooty, model type shopgirls but these two were pretty busted looking.) read more

I thought this store was wonderful and very unique. The fragrances were natural and non-commercial. I found sales person nice, helpful and friendly. My only problem was the sample she gave me was so minuscule that I didn't even know if I would be able to smell it when I got home. I stumbled here after brunch on yesterday (Saturday) early afternoon and I am so glad I came. The saleswoman was very knowledgeable and helpful, she really has a mastery of the scents down and the scents themselves are wonderful. This store is also beautiful, great for someone traveling through to get a unique instagram picture. The scents themselves are very uncluttered, I didn't know anything about the brand beforehand but after reading up on it when I got home I am so glad I went there. The scents are arranged by smell family and you smell out of the little beakers, I found a great scent and I am very happy to have found this spot. read more
