Naturally, she was the very first vendor I booked when I entered my wedding era. I actually called her the week after I got engaged, asked which dates she had open--and then planned my wedding around her availability. That's how serious I was.
I almost skipped doing a trial because I trusted Jenny that much. But when we talked, she encouraged me to go for it--not because I needed it, but because it's part of the whole wedding experience. And she was so right. It made everything feel even more real and exciting. My mom came with me to my trial, and we had such a fun time--especially with her assistant, Anu, there too. During the trial, I told Jenny I wanted to look sleek and snatched for one of my pre-wedding events. We landed on this stunning high bun, and when I got home, my dad said he loved my hair--Indian girlies, you know what a moment that is lol.
Fast forward to the wedding weekend, and of course I started second guessing the sleek look. I walked in that morning and told Jenny, "Maybe we should play it safe and do a loose half-up, half-down instead." Jenny didn't let me off that easy--she literally sent me to another room to think it over! After a moment, we started my makeup, and once I had my blouse and jewelry on, Jenny tried both hairstyles on me--the soft look and the sleek high bun.
The moment I saw them side by side, I knew. There was no way I could NOT go with the bun. It was just too good. Jenny had known from the beginning that this was the look. She saw the vision the second we did the trial and when I showed her my outfit. She knew what I was going for even when I started to doubt myself--and she guided me right back to it.
I'm fully convinced that if I'd gone with anyone else, they would've just done what I said that morning, and I would've looked completely different. Jenny is the best of the best for a reason.
Of course, when it came to the big day, Jenny slayed my classic bridal look--exactly how I imagined it.
She and her team also took care of my mom, mother-in-law, and sister-in-law for both days, and they were incredible. My mom has had some questionable experiences with professional hair and makeup in the past, so I wasn't sure what to expect--but she loved how beautiful Jenny made her feel. She was completely at ease the entire time, and I could tell she genuinely felt confident and happy with both of her looks. Everyone looked so beautiful, and we had such a fun, easy time together thanks to them. Truly the dream team!
