Vibe was alright, place was nice quality was bad, Service Requested did not match service provided. Asked them to leave the top, they cut the top, asked for a mid fade, got a high cut, wasn't even a fade, the sides are not even, I'm embarrassed about the cut, but that was just a personal experience, I didn't see anyone else's cut really. Most barber shops have you face a mirror so you can see your cut, I didn't even realize it was terrible until it was already done. Made an appointment online for 2:30pm didn't get in a chair until 2:41pm the point of making an online appointment I was crunched for time. The haircut took a long time because the barber shop may have a lot going on so there were a few interruptions. Could definitely be more organized and professional. Now for my barber probably the only reason I'm willing to give this place another shot she asked me what I wanted we talked about it she made it happen. They also do not talk about inappropriate topics in front of their clients. The shop is also clean. Aaron Owens cuts my hair and I recommend him but the other barbers can also cut. Since coming to this region of the country, this is the second black barber ensemble that I have been referred to. These guys are quite talented and enjoy making others look good! The sole hiccup, an important one though, is the platform used to schedule appointments. Unfortunately every visit to date, I with my son, have experienced no less than 90 minutes waiting times with every form of modern communicative methods: phoned and scheduled then barber was a no show; texted next visit, barber comes more than an hour late; online booking, barber does not receive or recognize appointment confirmation that I receive via email! This is quite frustrating especially when the barber encourages one to schedule in an electronic manner. I may try once more before I move on to an establishment that doesn't practice C. I wanted to give this barbershop five stars as most of the barbers are very professional and skilled. However, even if you book an appointment online you will rarely have your appointment at that time. Recently I booked an appointment with Anthony for 9am (when they open on Saturday), I showed up before the shop was even opened, waited for over two hours, no Anthony, and all the other barbers were booked. Forget it if you think you can walk in and get seen right away. My recommendation is plan to wait at least an hour if you walk in, don't book a reservation online, get the personal number for a barber you like and text/call him directly a couple days in advance. Most people do this and the barbers do not update their schedule online which is why the only way to actually have an appointment is to text the barbers directly. Really hope someone addresses how unorganized the scheduling is here as I do enjoy this barbershop, unfortunate having to allocate a couple hours for a cut. read more

I've never really been one for spending unnecessary money for a haircut, (which explains why it had been 6 months since my last cut) however, 30 bucks is totally justified in the quality of the work this business produces. John is knowledgeable, personable and possesses a very calm demeanor. He took the mop on my head, and turned it into the cleanest, most professional cut I've had to date. I took my son to get a haircut as a walk-in. We were not even acknowledged as I signed in. There were 3 barbers, all of them working on a client, so I didn't think much of that. Sat for about 30 minutes. I never saw any of the three even check the sign-in when they got done, but they did greet some customers as they walked in. One barber finished and leaned on his chair for several minutes checking his phone. He didn't even look our way. Maybe he had an appointment coming. I guess a friendly hello was beneath him. My guess is that on this day if they don't know you or if you don't have an appointment, then you're invisible and they ASSume you're just going to sit there until one of them decides or has time to even acknowledge you. I have 3 sons and I've never been to a shop where I wasn't at least greeted and given an estimated wait time when I walked in (and I admit that I rarely make appointments). Fortunately, I only have one left that needs me to take him for haircuts. I don't mind waiting. Especially since it was Saturday before a holiday and we were walk-ins. But if you don't want to take another client, say something. Customer service was seriously lacking. I have been to this shop a few times before. While they are far from my or my son's favorite, they are convenient to where I live and they're open on Sunday's, so I just hope for the best when I take my son. But today was it for me. Fortunately, there's another shop RIGHT ACROSS THE STREET, where we went when I left Blackshear. Fingers crossed. I'd rather not need to drive south for a decent cut and customer service. We are new in town and visited this new shop on day 4 of being open for business. My son and I both had hair services with Kevin Whitt, a talented stylist who is also good with color! We are very pleased with our hair cut, style, and my color/highlights! My hair is thick and has a good amount of curl which can be a challenge. I told Kevin I always wish I had hair that can do those styles for women with fine, thin hair and was amazed when Kevin pulled it off for me. While we were at the shop we watched their barber work with more than one client and they looked great too! He did an amazing job with a three year old who was entertained by all the posters on the wall. This shop is a sleeper! I could have taken anything I wanted if I was a lesser man, then a very rude Lady trying to look like a man finally walked in after smoking and asked what I was there for, then told me that she had to go and the other guy would be there in 10 minutes. No big deal. He finished up with the first guy around 9:35...and then proceeds to sit someone else in the chair to get started on him. I'm sitting there, a little bit baffled as to what is going on. No "Sorry for the wait"; no "can you give me a few more minutes". Zero interaction. Finally at 9:50, when I realized he still wasn't going to be finished anytime soon, I gathered up my kids and walked out. From this and other drive by visits on the weekdays around 3:30pm, there appears to only be one barber in the shop at a time though walk ins are welcome = excessive wait, but the haircuts Jay did were nice. This place is horrible. Talented staff? I went for my first time and read the "reviews" to see how good it was. Well, turned out that I went over and explain to the guy to not touch the top part of my hair at all and he said he got me. Well I told him to do an undercut and fade on the bottom of the sides and he kept saying I got you I know what you want and first thing I told him not to do, he went and cut part of my top and I didn't get mad at the beginning cause he tried so hard to justify himself. At the end of my haircut he let a side on the top of my hair with literally a spot shorter than the rest. You can see it from far because when I met with my friends later they said I had a spot on the top. I paid a "talented guy" to literally do what I told him not to. I'm so mad and there is no way they could help me. Also, I told him to do the sides and he took more than an hour to finish because he talks around and texts on his phone. What a service.
