We really enjoyed this park and like how many different slides there were. The park was very clean, well-maintained, and gated, which we liked. It also felt nicely separated from the dog park, which made it more comfortable for families with young kids. The only downside was safety-related: there weren't many safety rails in certain areas, and there were several large gaps where a small child could easily slip or fall. There were also some unexpected gaps at floor level near entrances that felt a bit concerning for little ones. Make sure to keep an eye your kids here and be an arm length away since they can fall and hurt themselves pretty easily. Overall, it's a great park with a lot to offer, but adding more safety rails and closing some of those gaps would make it feel much more kid-friendly and secure. Carson has lots of beautiful parks. Fuji has so many trees. Very good quality in a park.

Great dog park for large and small dogs. Each have a large fenced area. The dogs and owners we encountered were nice and the owners picked up after their dogs. Water is off due to winter cold, so bring water for your pup. I didn't notice a restroom was available near the dog park for the humans, But maybe in the main park one is available. read more

Lovely, shady park in a busy part of town. Easy parking. Lovely shade trees. A few picnic tables BUT it seems folks who lie on the ground put their stuff on the tables which means very few tables to picnic at. Water sorce. Bathrooms. Covered pavilion. Kids play ground but it is out in full sun. Lots of grass to play on. Pinecone, leaves, and cotton puffs from the trees to collect. Nice. read more

Hi friends. So you notice we hang in dog parks like Sonoma and Fuji, yet we have no dogs. Haven't even written a review. Thus is so. We are Catmandu and full of feline fever. We like to watch the canines hang out and run after stuff. At least once a day I come here. They tell me Yelp wants me to check-in everywhere I go all day long. I'm so excited to get to the park, often times I forget. Oooops, sorry. As my photos can attest, this is a very large park (some 14 acres) giving the dogs more than enough space to get running pretty darn fast. I wonder if they'd like to hang with my Bengal kittens and Mr. Tabby? Umm, maybe not. Fuji park is so much more than a dog park. Fenced off behind the park is wooded area with trails and the creek. They have hibachis near a gazebo, picnic tables, park benches, bathrooms and water fountains.There is a big playground area in the back and plenty of room for people to stroll. They don't have paved pathways. I say this because not all folks are diligent when it comes to following up when their animal leaves a calling card. If you know what I mean. WATCH OUT FOR THE LANDMINES!!!!! lol. Some mornings I take a walk around the park, I might see an occasional dog or two, while I enjoy my coffee. Sometimes I sit in the small gazebo at one of the picnic tables and hope I don't get caught in sprinkler flow on my way back. I think those come on earlier than I get here. Next-door to Fuji Park is the CarsonCity fairgrounds. Home to the Nevada State fair. They have a huge indoor exhibit hall containing a large kitchen and bathrooms. The fairgrounds features a 60-stall barn, a small outdoor barn, a rodeo arena, grandstands, an announcers booth, and more bathrooms. I'm told that if their are no events scheduled, you can use the arena for horseback riding everyday from 8:00 to dusk. Today, I learned there is a 1 acre fishing pond within the park. This is the 92nd dog park we have been to. I travel a lot with the dog so we stop lots of places to run off leash. We went here today, 20 June 2018, a Wednesday, at about 2pm. This dog park has: Small dog section Large dog section Double gates Water, and buckets Bags Trash cans SHADE! Bench's Agility type play structures made out of concrete I started this business listing because the Fugi Park listing was making it sound like I could go into the dog park but I had to be on leash in the dog park confines. I understand that isn't what it's about but others might not. I refreshed the water more than once since my dog was hot and the water dish was big (aka a swimming pool). What we loved: -Water available -Shade -Friendly people & dogs -Ample space for running dogs -Plenty of doggie bags and trashes -Separate play areas (doesn't matter to me, I bring my toy poodle to play with the big boys anyhoo... What we didn't: -It's ALL dirt. Which is really ok when the weather is dry and it hasn't rained in a couple of days. But I have a mud-loving GoldenDoodle and she's always looking for mud to BATHE in... Overall, it's a wonderful place to bring your socially-starved pup - you'll find everything you need for a nice break in your drive or for a nice social outing. I spent almost 2 hours here and met a few wonderful passerby folk and a couple of friendly locals! read more

Accessible and super clean! A Godsend to have while staying at Comstock RV park since their dog park is in shambles (has no gates, weeds and stickers everywhere and trash littered throughout the poop area) and really wont contain small dogs anyways. Fuji park is just a short ways down the road, perfect for evening bike rides, roller skating or skateboarding to. Dogs get to interact in a safe environment while owners can relax. I can see why this is also perfect for Fairground events as well, for folks who travel with their dogs). read more

This park ia great. There is a nice playground that is fenced in, along with some picnic tables. There's a dog park. And there's an open field to play in. We stopped here after a trip to Costco and were pleasantly surprised. We will be back, for sure!! read more

I sometimes bring my dog here if I'm in CC and it's not too hot to have him in the car while I'm out running errands. This is our so-called "half-time" break at the dog park, which has two areas. There's a larger fenced in yard for the big boys and girls and a smaller one for the pee wees. We go to the pee wee section because Caye is only 18 pounds (in his mind, he is a giant mastiff, but that's his issue, not mine). Almost inevitably, there's a contingent of chatty dog owners to welcome you as the dogs roam around. I wish there was more grass in the enclosure, but I understand, dirt is much easier to keep clean. There are scattered benches for the humans but only one is shaded. Conveniently located across from mama's favorite bulk store, Costco, home of the $1.50 polish dog. read more

I stepped in dog crap here today. Not 5 stars. But overall this park is good. There aren't many parks with a lot of trees around so I found this to be a welcome addition to my local parks. There is a small creek in the back of the park and the dogs love that. They had an independent dog park on the west side of the park. I think they keep it clean and take decent care of it. read more

The Carson City Fairgrounds and Fuji Park are situated in a beautiful natural setting with large trees and Clear Creek running through it. Located next to the fairgrounds is Bodines Casino, and across the street is shopping at Costco. The Carson City Farigrounds and Fuji Park are located in southern Carson City on the south side of Old Clear Creek Road just west of South US Hwy 395, and just south of the US Hwy 50 West interchange. This park is fine, it has trees several picnic areas, including one covered, and a playground. It connects to a dog park and small pond. On a recent visit, the grass was completely saturated. Maybe slow up on the irrigation parks dept. Not my favorite park in town as it's next to Costco and the freeway so pretty loud. Also, bees. Lots of bees!! read more

Finally on the third trip here there were some dogs my pooch could play with! The other two times I've came it was a bit later and there are no lights here so once it's dark it is really scarce. This dog park is somewhat hidden so it took me a while to figure out there was even a dog park attached to the main park. There are two sections of the dog park, one section is for dogs up to thirty pounds and the other section is for dogs over thirty. My little guy goes to the under thirty area. I think it's a nice size, I'd say it could at least hold 30 dogs at once. For good reason, the big dog side is much larger than the smaller dog side. An added bonus to the experience is an owl nest in the tree above the small dog side. The male owl sits on the trees limb during daylight hours. Be sure to watch out for your dog though; I heard rumors that last year the owl snatched up two small dogs. I haven't confirmed if that is true or not but I think it's possible with teacup breeds. read more

This park has great play areas but the surrounding area is kinda blah. There always seems to be strange cars parked on the grass and around the playground which just isn't ok. Way better parks in Gardnerville. Try Lampe! read more

My boyfriend and I took our six month old German Shepherd puppy to go play at this dog park. We made a day out of finding a bunch of different dog parks but this was our favorite. When we went there there were several other dogs and the owners were very kind and understanding when we told them our puppy hasn't been around other big dogs before. He did such a good job around all the other dogs and even made a female German Shepherd friend who is only a month younger than him. We are now going to try to go to this park at least once or twice a week to get our pup socialized and to make new friends. It was big with lots of shade and plenty of Space for the dogs to run around and even a water spigot. Can't wait to go again soon!!! read more

The off leash dog park is past the grassy area where dogs are allowed on leash. Entrance is directly across from Costco gas pumps. Two areas divide small and large dogs. Fenced and secure. Nice area for dogs to play in while we passed through town. read more
