Office management should be more proactive and allot larger appointment segments for doctors who frequently run behind or schedule less patients. Office management needs customer service training. Practice should consider informing patients upon arrival of the doctors schedule for transparency and setting expectations for wait time or proactively offer to reschedule if running past a certain time.

I woke up very early and drove in to have the labs done, only to find that the lab orders had not been released, even though the office was open. This resulted in a wasted trip and unnecessary delay. Once I finally completed the labs, I called the office to inform them that I would be running late and asked whether I should still come in for my appointment. I was told that it was fine and that I should still come. While I was only three minutes away, I received a call saying my appointment would need to be rescheduled, with the explanation that the person I spoke to had not communicated with the secretary. That is an internal office issue and should not have been made my responsibility. On top of this, the secretary was rude and dismissive, speaking to me as though I were at fault--despite the fact that I followed the instructions given to me by their staff. As a result, I wasted two trips, drove a long distance, and was not feeling well throughout this process. Overall, Dartmouth has been the worst hospital I've dealt with in terms of appointment scheduling, communication, and follow-up. I would not recommend them to anyone, especially the Bedford office.

Manchester Acupuncture Studio…read more I have been a client/customer/patient of Manchester Acupuncture Studio in Manchester New Hampshire. This is a Community based acupuncture program that serves the greater Manchester area and surrounding towns and cities. I have had greater than 40 acupuncture treatments since the beginning of July. The quality is very good along with the staff. The staff are very accommodating whether its working you in on a busy schedule with no appointment, or if you have some special needs and require a little special assistance. There are sixteen reclining chairs in a large ward like room. Community acupuncture provides an added benefit of group encouragement and healing. The treatments are reasonable; they are $ 15 - $ 35 dollars, on a sliding scale geared to help all participants afford the treatments. Tiny little disposable needles are carefully placed in the arms, legs, feet, hands, and head (depending upon what type of treatment you require). The clinic is also usually able to treat two or three issues, simultaneously. Warm blankets are provided for those who require them, and a bathroom is available inside the clinic. The needles are often not even felt when the "punk" places them, at the most, minor mosquito like bite and any minor pain disappears within a minute or less. The treatments themselves are relatively painless and generally last about an hour, though you are welcome to stay longer if you wish. I want to point out my two favorite practitioners; Andy Wegman and Amy Vlacich. Andy and Amy are very skilled, but they are also natural communicators and very in tuned to the patient need requirements. I have also had Elizabeth Ropp and Jodi Lemery, they are very skilled as well. I would recommend Manchester Acupuncture Studio very highly for treatment of stress, anxiety, depression, blood pressure, swelling and inflammation, back pain, neck pain and a variety of other treatments. On the first visit you setup up a short 10 minute consult with the acupuncturist to discuss your treatment plan and options for treating multiple issues or conditions. The initial visit costs $10, a one time fee, then the treatment is the sliding scale fee of $ 15- $ 35 dollars.

And I've been going to Amoskeag Family Dentistry ever since. No pressure to get anything done I don't need. I always pay what I'm quoted for the work that I have had done. Everyone is super nice. If I need to change an appointment, they usually can get me in at a time and day that is better for my schedule. I love it there so much that once my daughter was old enough to go, they became her dentist too. As long as they're open, Amoskeag Family Dentistry will be my dentist.
