AAA battery went out. Was in warranty time. Driver called. Said he didn't have a battery that would…read morework on the van. But still drove out to me without it. Showed up and his jump box was dead. So he couldn't jump my jeep off to get a battery test. Tried multiple times. Finally got a read and it showed the battery was bad with weak charge. He said it wasn't a good enough reading to replace the battery. He needed to check the alternator. He couldn't check that without getting the jeep to run. Which he couldn't with no battery on the van and dead jump box. He said there was nothing more he could do. I asked him to come back with the battery so he could do his test. He tried to charge me. I said i will pay when he comes back and completes the job. He agree'd. Said he understood and GAVE ME THE OPTION TO NOT PAY. Tracy told him not to leave. And then called the police on me for mot paying. I was forced to pay them. They never came back to resolve the battery issue. I purchased a new battery from another company the next day (even though i was in warranty) and never had another issue out of the jeep. Cruddy people. Absolutely disgusting service. Tracy should be ashamed to act in business like this. They showed up with no ability to fix or test my jeep. And still charged me for showing up. And called the police on me after the driver agree'd to come back the next day with a battery. And then they never showed up.

Tires were pushed aside for other things they said were more urgent, and the whole experience felt like a sales pitch, not a service. Oak Hollow has been the complete opposite every single time. I've come here before for inspections, and they've always treated me with respect and clarity. This time, they passed my inspection but also took photos of my tires and explained what would likely come up next year. They printed three tire options without me asking and talked me through each one. What really stood out is that they recommended the lowest price option -- not because it was cheap, but because it made sense for my driving habits and the fact that my car has only reached about 40,000 miles in seven years. They didn't assume anything about me, didn't pressure me, and didn't try to upsell. There's a reason I'm willing to make an appointment and come back the next day, even though other inspection places are closer. Oak Hollow treats people right, and they've earned my loyalty.

I was then told it would be $400 dollars because they had to remove the whole front end. I declined, took the vehicle home and replaced the head lamp in 7 minutes. I figured I'd give them another shot. I took my aunt's car for an inspection today (I'm actually sitting in the waiting room typing this). I had a 1 o'clock appointment. It's now 2:30 and the car hadn't been brought into the shop yet. I finally went to the desk to cancel the service and magically they were able to take it right back. Why bother having appointments at all if you aren't going to even remotely abide by them? I will be taking all my cars elsewhere from now on. My wife's vehicle was rear ended a few weeks ago. I was very specific with request for a luxury car (that didn't smell like smoke) comparable to our car needing repair for rental but we were greeted with a small RAV4? Sized car. I refused the vehicle and then started looking for a car myself. It takes a few days to line up a luxury rental so work had to be delayed. I called State Farm & told them we needed to find a suitable vehicle and they were accommodating with increasing coverage if necessary. We found a suitable model in Asheboro and Enterprise brought it to the local office but it smelled like freshly smoked marijuana. So no go with that vehicle. I was ambushed when I asked to meet with the owner Brian Owens. He couldn't maintain eye contact when we met so I suspected he was upset. He was totally focused on our '24 Genesis not being a luxury vehicle..saying BMW, AUDI, Mercedes, Lexus were not in the same class. And it was a "Hyundai". Same price ranges and similar performance but somehow not the same class. Insulting. The new owner Brian Owens is insulting and doesn't take responsibility for what his business represents as services provided. His phone script (that he says he wrote) states that they work with your insurance company to set up car rentals to make it easy for customers to use their service. He did not handle the situation professionally. I even asked that we discuss in an office or away from the front desk but he insisted on being loud and confrontational in front of his front desk staff. Not a nice guy. After our encounter I called the front desk and apologized for our discussion that had to happen in front of them. I doubt this is the culture previous owner Larry Walker wants as a legacy and I feel badly for the staff who work in Brian's toxicity.
