Dr Jae is amazing I started coming here to Fullerton Acupuncture about the first week of April. I was desperate after trying a few months with a Chiropractor and also went to therapy for two months nothing helped my pain on my hips. I have really tight hips and would get pain on my inner thigh and would have sleepless nights because of the pain. I don't want to be a gatekeeper, but I also don't want to have to fight to get an appointment here! I waited a while to write this review because I wanted to spend time making sure it was perfect, because Dr. Jae also puts in the effort to take care of every client, based on their specific situation. I've been coming here for acupuncture for stress since December, and Dr. Jae has been nothing but the most caring, patient and flexible practitioner. My favorite thing about him is that he really listens to you. He sees the client as the expert on their body, and customizes treatment for each person. For acupuncture, the first appointment requires intake paperwork, so it takes a bit longer(about 1.5h) and costs $120. Regular acupuncture tends to be 40mins-1hr and costs $80. I did not get the TCM herbal tea that he recommended, because it was a bit pricey for me ($70), and I wasn't sure how it would interact with the supplements and herbs I'm already taking, however I'm sure it helps remedy ailments sooner. Just know that the waiting room is pretty small, so don't bring your entire family. Also, it doesn't bother me but some may have issues with the smell of the herbs here. And no, it doesn't hurt! Aside from occasional discomfort once in a blue moon, I either don't feel the needles, or it feels like a baby mosquito bite at worst. And no, you don't have to be statue still! If you have an itch, you can scratch it (just be careful) and if you have to get up or something, you'll have a call button. I was incredibly worried about being left alone filled with needles, or even just having to sit still for an hour, but it's actually very relaxing, and Dr. Jae is never more than 10 steps away. The only criticism I have is that the walls are a bit thin, so sometimes you'll hear muffled conversations in other rooms, but it's not too bad. read more
