Inside we went up and down the aisles. The facility has no odor. I did not see lifeless people sitting in the hallways. The rooms tho, are dark. Older people often have impaired vision. Lighted rooms are more helpful. Lamps from home may be brought in. Also, aides could respond faster to the lighted call signals. I assisted with my friend's bm with no aide.

Having my husband at this rehab facility was a nightmare…read more After spending nearly two months out of state for back-to-back brain surgeries and serious complications, we were grateful to have him out of the hospital and closer to home. Unfortunately, after assuring us that they were equipped to care for his extensive medical needs, the care he received was deeply concerning. Some examples: -While in their care, my husband developed bilateral pulmonary embolisms. He was severely short of breath, yet it took nearly 24 hours for him to be sent to a hospital for treatment. Staff attributed his symptoms to COVID and dismissed repeated requests from our family to have him evaluated. When we asked if we could take him to the hospital ourselves, we were told, "You can't take him out those doors." -When they finally called an ambulance to take him to the hospital, they did not provide transfer information, including his medication list and other relevant medical details. -A nurse dropped an IV line on the floor, picked it up, and continued to use it.-Important medications, including pain medication needed to help him participate in PT/OT, were delayed by several hours. -Members of the nursing team blamed each other in front of us for improperly administering his IV antibiotic, which he was receiving for meningitis. -A bag of saline had a handwritten expiration date and continued to be used for two more days. When I asked the head nurse if it could be replaced, she appeared annoyed and said, "We'll replace it if it makes you feel better." -His PICC line was left so dirty that when he was eventually admitted to the hospital for the blood clots, the hospital nurses were afraid to use it because they did not want to risk another infection. We tried more than once to have open, honest conversations with the head nurses about our concerns, but we were met with defensiveness and dismissal. One morning, a nurse told me there was confusion about whether my husband had received his IV antibiotic because it had not been properly documented. When I asked for the head nurse to speak with her about it, she told me there was "no confusion," then turned around and walked out before I could respond. I would not recommend this facility to anyone. My husband was miserable there and said he felt like nobody cared about him. More than once, he was left yelling for help at night to use the bathroom, even though he could not go on his own. Based on our experience, I would not trust this facility with the care of a medically complex patient. We tried to approach these conversations with patience and understanding, but we were repeatedly made to feel like an annoyance rather than a family asking for basic communication and safe care. I also ask that the facility not respond by asking me to contact them to discuss this further. We tried repeatedly to speak with someone who would listen while my husband was there, when it mattered most.

After having a major pelvic and back fractures I was non weight bearing when I was admitted here…read moredirectly after my hospital stay. I was left in my room for 6 hours the first day with no walker wheelchair or pain meds and was not evaluated until the next day to even use a walker. The aids never answered call buttons. On the second night there I had rung my call button for a glass of water and waited an hour and rang it again. I was answered by 3 male aids who told me other people needed them more and I should be nicer with raised voices and intimidating behavior. I called and left a message for the case manager that night and discharged myself the next morning. My records indicate I received care and evaluations that I did not receive. My records also indicate things that I had never said and my health records indicated many many mistakes about my medical history. It is a lovely rehab building but I would never recommend this for any one. The medical staff are incompetent to say the least.

In approximately August 2025, I was awakened around 3:30 a.m. with extreme left shoulder pain so…read moresevere that I had to go to the emergency room. X-rays of my neck and shoulder showed an issue at C5/C6. I originally scheduled an appointment with Fulton County Orthopedic Surgeons. From the moment I arrived, I felt completely dismissed. I stood at the check-in window for over four minutes while the employee behind the glass looked up at me multiple times and did not acknowledge me. I attempted to find assistance elsewhere and was directed right back to the same window, where I was again ignored for several more minutes before she finally asked if she could help. I eventually saw a nurse practitioner who immediately dismissed my shoulder as a possible source of pain and decided it was "definitely" my neck based solely on the X-rays. When I suggested that an MRI of both the shoulder and cervical spine would be the appropriate way to confirm the source of the pain, she claimed that my insurance would only cover imaging for one area and that If they asked her she would tell them to image the neck. I have good insurance and found it inappropriate for a nurse practitioner to make assumptions about my coverage while also attempting to limit diagnostic evaluation. When I stated that I would be upset if only my neck were imaged without fully ruling out the shoulder, it became clear that my concerns were not being taken seriously. If I could leave a negative amount of stars I would! By the end of the visit, I had lost all confidence in the care being provided and chose to seek treatment elsewhere. I later scheduled with Mercy Orthopedic Surgeons instead

She assisted us immediately. Thank you to Dr Taylor for his compassion and professionalism and quick response to my husband's problems. We felt reassured speaking with him. Another thank you to Haylee in ER who went above and beyond in her kindness shown. I wish I had all the nursing staff names since they were absolutely exceptional and comforting during that time spent in the ER. I noticed too the cleanliness and attentiveness of everyone in the ER. I am thankful that FCHC is part of our local caring medical community.

The staff are amazing, and truly care about their residents. The facility is by no means brand new, but it is kept neat and clean, and has been renovated recently. Because this is a small facility, the residents are treated like family, and the dining services are able to accommodate special meal requests. The food is top-notch, and much better than any you would expect at a similar facility. When the staff genuinely cares, it really makes a huge difference in the overall atmosphere and attitude of the residents.

Each house holds just 10 residents in 10 bedrooms, split between 2 hallways on either side of a central common area with dining space, living area, and an enormous kitchen where staff prepares meals and residents may use space, also. Each bedroom is private with en suite bathroom equipped with a walk in shower. Facility provides twin bed, sitting chair, side table, and dresser. There is space to personalize as well. We plan to add 2 sitting chairs for guests and a larger dresser. There is a large closet, between 5-6' wide. Laundry is done on a schedule and not mixed so chance if items missing is very low. Nurse is available, aids are assigned on shifts and are very capable and friendly. The center publishes activity calendar including social outings and shopping trips. There is a hair salon and manicures and pedicures can be scheduled.

My husband and…read moreI stopped in after hours for a tour and were fortunate enough to meet with the Administrator, Terri. She gave us a tour of the rehab unit and took quite a bit of time explaining how things work with the insurances. Terri was so kind and understanding and the facility was clean and beautiful. We were even more impressed when we saw her personal cell phone in every room. My aunt has been there over 4 weeks now and is scheduled to go home in 8 days. There were small issues the first week or so but , true to her word, we called Terri and she addressed our problems immediately. We certainly don't expect perfection but we do expect results when we have a complaint. The rehab has been wonderful, the food is almost always wonderful and the nursing staff is generally kind, compassionate and efficient. I would obviously recommend.

My husband has been here for almost 3 weeks for physical therapy on his leg. In that time, no one…read morehas ever washed his hair. One of the times his diaper got changed, the nurse opened his diaper and found out the last nurse before him left dirty wipees in his diaper. On top of that, I found out his groin incision was split wide open and not only looked infected but smelled putrid. I asked the facility if they knew it was like that and they said they knew about it for the last 2 weeks and they never told me anything about it. Also, they were supposed to take my husband to dialysis on Thursday and I was supposed to pick him up after dialysis to see the surgeon about the infected incision. At the last possible second my husband called me and informed me they had left it up to me to bring him to dialysis and never told me. I had to leave my job and drive about 80 mph to get there in time and I lost my housekeeping client who had been paying me $120 a week. Then when I got there, they were all shocked and surprised that I was mad. Furthermore, I had been complaining for a week and a half about him not being able to eat anything without throwing up and they never did anything about it or the fact that he constantly had diarrhea. Today, they finally tested him and surprise, surprise, he has c dif. If I could give them negative stars I would. I hate this place.
