Regardless of one's experience or comfort levels, anyone can benefit from their functional training for a better lifestyle, improved athletic performance, or simply having more fun. I am an amateur figure skater with specific athletic goals in mind when it comes to finding trainers, and 3FIT really stood out. When working with trainers, I hope for not only someone to keep me on track, but also someone I can learn from. The 3FIT team checks all the boxes. Marcel is very professional. He configures the gym in a way that any workout can be performed (be it fun or draining), and always keeps the clients' interests in mind by offering training advice, customizing programs, and providing a wide range of interesting group classes that welcome everyone to join. My main trainer, Smitha, further widens my horizons for training. Her background in yoga has helped me improve my flexibility and strength all at the same time. It's also the first time I've had a female trainer with whom I can comfortably discuss health concerns and receive advice and support. I would have continued to train here for the long term had I not had to relocate elsewhere. In short, if you have specific fitness goals like myself, definitely check this place out. Even for someone just starting out, 3FIT is perhaps the most welcoming and accommodating training space one could find. The knowledge, dedication, and client-first mindset the team has cultivated over the years can truly help everyone in their fitness journey.

I have never really been a gym person but the group classes here make me wanna keep going back. Marcel is an excellent instructor , always motivating and correcting us! The group class is not too big either giving each of us a chance to be individually focussed on while at the same time giving us a community to make it fun! And what's more , for the pickleballers, there's also weekly pickleball that 3fit regulars have set up for more fun and exercise! There's also a fun class called zombie apocalypse training which is strength and conditioning with a lot of fun!

I'd heard of Lagree but never really knew what it was, and didn't even know this was Lagree going into it, but it's basically a more intense form of pilates that uses a megaformer vs the traditional one. I'm glad I had a base of already working out and trying two other similar classes before coming here, so it was a little less intimidating. I think a beginner could definitely get the hang of this, but having a good foundation felt necessary to get the full benefits of the class and workout. And of course instructor direction and examples were a big factor in succeeding in the classes as a newcomer. I've had a handful of different instructors and have definitely found the one that is more my style and more motivating to me (shout out Ankitha), but I've generally liked all of the instructors enough to go back to their classes. Finding an instructor that works for you makes all the difference though when you're powering through a touch class, which these often are. I originally signed up for their first timers offer of 4 classes for $99. Other than that, without a membership classes run at $38 per, but they have a ton of different packages and memberships that could make classes range from $11 (if you went every single day) to $30 with a larger upfront cost. I ended up getting a class pack so that I wasn't limited or expected to attend a certain number of classes a month and have really liked the flexability. They have tons of classes throughout the day and week, so finding an opening isn't too hard.

I love how there's so much lighting in here and all the women here are super nice and inviting. The parking here can be difficult during the day, and I used to have to park pretty far from the studio, but all the retail parking is vacant at 6am! The SAs here are hit or miss, but generally helpful and pleasant. I like the layout because each of the stations, treads, rowers, and weights, are in a row so there are no weird angles or bad spots for viewing the VVA monitors or the metrics screens or for the coach to see you. And they have a super well-organized and labeled auxiliary weight rack in the middle of the rower row. I also like the extra padded floor they have in the weight floor row, though watch your step because it's elevated about an inch and half from the rest of the floor. I've never encountered a full class here before, but I also tend to go during off peak hours. Coaching is enthusiastic and friendly as well, especially Coach Kelsey, though I think she is full time at Sunnyvale now.

I was suffering with lower back pain for a while and it's a hassle to reach out to the studio and get their response (they take a a week or two to respond). This studio wanted to charge me this month instead of putting my account in suspended mode or cancel. Pasting the studio response here (just today's conversation). It allowed me to get an extra hour of a workout in during the week and now I'm hooked! Krav is a real world self-defense that makes me feel strong and prepares me for real life situations. ASD also offers many other classes and so many talented instructors! Coach Shayne has been a big influence on myself and my husband. He continues to help us learn proper fighting techniques. Andrea is an awesome coach who continues to amaze us! Amit, Troy, Chris, Sergey, Marziya, and Jason have all taught me so much in Krav. Ilya's Hyrox and Fighter Flow classes are fun and a great workout! He also has a cook book that explains easy and healthy recipes! Manny's Boot Camp/kickboxing classes are always intense and will leave you sore. James' DEKA class was creative, hard and definitely worth a try! My son has enjoyed the Kids Krav classes....thank you James, Andrea, Anh and Marziya for teaching the big group of kids! I love watching him come home and practice and share what he learned. We often compare what we are all doing in class during the week. I can't forget Neal, the owner! And Carrie at the front desk! They always make us feel welcome and at home! I joined the Locked In For Summer Challenge that they organized at ASD. It has helped me stay focused on my nutrition and fitness goals. And has helped me meet some new friends! What I really liked about this gym was the variety of classes they offer. You can try different types of workouts and figure out what you enjoy without having to commit right away. They also let you borrow gloves and other equipment for free during the trial classes, which I thought was a really nice touch. I ended up trying the HIIT and DEKA classes, which were my favorites, and most of the coaches I had were really great. Unfortunately, my experience with one of the kickboxing classes wasn't as good. I specifically asked multiple times beforehand if it was okay that I was a complete beginner, and I was told that it was totally fine. However, when I showed up, pretty much everyone else already knew what they were doing, so I naturally felt a little intimidated. I also wasn't given much guidance despite being a first-timer. What really bothered me was that the coach called me "silly" when I wasn't able to follow the instructions. I understand that a fast-paced class can be challenging for beginners, but I didn't think making fun of someone who was trying something for the first time was appropriate, and it definitely put a damper on the experience. One other thing I wish they had was a proper locker room or changing area. They have gender-neutral bathrooms, but they didn't feel clean or comfortable enough to change clothes in, especially if you're coming straight from work. I really liked the variety of classes and the generous trial period, and most of my experiences with the coaches were positive. I just wish the beginner experience was a little more welcoming and that they had a better space for changing.
