At 7:46 Wednesday 07/26, on Sherman way and going on the 170,the truck driver driving the fun time arcade rentals was rude, and being an aggressive driver who refused to allow another vehicle to merge to the lane even though the vehicle signaled and was merging. My wife and I rented three arcade machines through Funtime Arcade Rentals for our wedding in San Marcos on May 11th. Their selection was great, all of the machines worked just fine, and our guests really enjoyed playing them (especially the kiddos). However, communicating with Carlos Monroy, the Manager, was difficult at times. I would often get half of the answers I was looking for in any given email, and after asking several times via email, it finally took a phone call two days before the wedding to get a phone number I could call in case a machine broke down because there wasn't an attendant at the venue on the day. Also, they dropped the machines off early even though we'd requested they didn't since the ceremony was happening at that time (thankfully it wasn't interrupted). My wife and I would still recommend them, but make sure to call with any questions instead of emailing, and get the terms of the contract in writing in case something goes wrong. read more

The table was used just about every minute of its rental period (four hours) and not once did we encounter any problems. Carlos was responsive with my many inquiries and was reasonable in pricing the delivery all the way out to West Covina, where the party was held. He brought it over well before the scheduled time (after arranging the earlier delivery with me) and picked it up at the agreed-upon hour. I must have called 8 different places and went with Fun Time, mostly because Carlos was attentive, responded quickly to all of my questions (by phone and email) and was consistent in his price quotes. This is a small company and I was worried about paying upfront but Carlos insisted. So I took the chance. We rented two games for a company party, foosball and a pinball machine. From the choice they had, seemed like older games which says why their prices are much lower than other companies. They showed up on time for delivery and had two delivery guys that were polite and helpful. They set up the games and basically went out to their truck to wait until the end of the party. The foosball table was old and not a good quality commercial table that I had hoped for. The pinball machine was also old and one of the flippers broke after about 30 minutes of play. Fortunately the delivery guys were still in the truck and came up to fix it as best they could. It still wasn't working right but good enough to play. They came back up after the party and took the games away. Again, very nice guys doing the delivery and pickup. Too bad the games were old. And no follow up from Carlos even after he knew the pinball game broke. I wouldn't rent from this company again. read more
