Incompetent and dishonest. One of 2 places we could take our KZ rig for repair and we clearly chose the wrong place. Too many details to list but fun town had our RV from Nov 2024 - Dec 2025. We did a surprise "well check" in Jun 2025 since we hadn't been able to get an update and found the unit at the back of the lot, and had barely been touched. We then filed a complaint with BBB and Texas AG office, finally got a call direct from KZ, they let us know that they had paid out the warranty work to Funtown back in January 2025 for a closed out invoice of completed repairs. Yet.. nothing had been completed. We now have our unit but there are still issues, like the destroyed awning that was perfectly fine when we dropped it at Funtown a year ago. steer clear of this place, and best of luck! read more

They refused to budge on price or even acknowledge when i called them out for having the same prices as smaller dealerships... We had a fantastic experience at Fun Town RV in Giddings. Kenny handled everything we needed with enthusiasm and was very professional. He explained every step from start to finish. Amazing service! Old fashioned service where they care about the customer! Our sway bar broke during our long trip and we needed some maintenance supplies. We couldn't find any place nearby who had the parts- without traveling an hour out of the way.. even then, most had to order/ship the sway bar- UNTIL we found FUNTOWN RV in Giddings Texas!! JR Sanchez was my salesman. I am a single, older woman and was very worried about the whole sales process and how fairly I would be treated. I came to Fun Town Giddings to look at a specific Rockwood Mini Lite trailer. JR showed me that trailer and another Rockwood that was a little cheaper. I ended up buying the second trailer he showed me. Through the whole process, he always answered my calls and responded to my emails.. I wanted power stabilizers and a back up camera; I was able to leave my trailer there to get those items installed in a reasonable amount of time that included the ice storm. When I signed the papers for the trailer, there was a misunderstanding relative to the warranty contract but Fun Town said they would pay the difference. I haven't seen that reimbursement on my loan as of yet, and will try to update this review regarding that issue to see if they followed through on that promise (hence, the 4-star rating). If you come in with a budget for buying a new RV, be sure to add in $3K-$5K for an extended warranty. When I came to pick up my trailer, JR made sure everything was ready and helped me hook up my trailer. He drove with me until I felt comfortable. UPDATE- 12/30/2017. It's been 10 months since We took delivery of our travel trailer. We are STILL missing 2 curtains and now because of Funtown in Giddings we are missing a light cover. We have received the run around long enough. People told me to beware because after the sale things go down hill. It's more like a train wreck. Supposedly these curtains have been ordered 4 times from different sales people, Managers, parts directors, etc. The curtains were missing and the thermostat was inoperable at PDI. They made note of it and said they would order it. Well 10 months later still no curtains. To top this off They made me bring the camper in to "order and fix" the missing curtains and to fix the thermostat. They said they could not order them without first seeing the camper. I brought in to Funtown Giddings because it was closer. It still cost me a tank of gas there and back plus the time it took to take it and pick it up. The camper was there for three weeks. They called and said it was ready. While it was there I had them fix a molding that came off and tried to have them fix some loose paneling. Also the propane tank cover never has closed. So I asked for a new one. Showed up to pick it up, I made an appointment, the trailer was in the back in a dirt lot. It literally had mud on it. They left the A/C on and as vehicles drove by kicking up dust it turned into mud from the a/c condensation. Also the technician walked in the dust and tracked it all over the inside of the unit. So, thermostat was not replaced, even though it was a PDI issue. They said it did not malfunction. Yet it still malfunctions. Curtains were not in- they said they ordered them and it would be a few weeks. I asked to fix the key locks they were sticking, they fixed one. The molding that fell off was glued on, not screwed on like from the factory. They literally just threw some screws in and none of them held anything together. By time I got home everything came loose. They fixed the propane tank cover by flipping it around and saying the wind will keep it shut. Now, for the best part. As I hooked the RV up to get the heck out of there. I noticed that the light by the steps was missing the cover. I brought it to their attention. They acted like it was like that when I dropped it off. I argued with them and they said they would "mail" me one. Clearly making me feel stupid. It took everything in me to not go off on these idiots. I hooked my RV up got out of there as fast as I could. I worked and saved up For my dream of owning a travel trailer to make memories in with my family. This is how these people treat you after the sale. I am at the point of getting some legal representation. I can't believe they are still in business after dealing with them. I WILL NEVER do business with these folks again unless something drastic happens. Thanks to everyone who warned me in the commits after I posted my first review. Wish I would have listened! Chris Collins Original review before getting the run around once they got my money. I do give good reviews as well, but clearly had to change it. I had a great experience when we bought our camper. I think one thing to consider is you get what you pay for. I bought a Rockwood and know that quality and craftsmanship is top tier. I also know that Mike and Damian will be there after the sale to help should a problem arise. If you buy a entry level trailer then you will spend time fixing and tending to issues. Have someone show you the difference in quality before you buy. Then, you won't need to use the service department. Spend a little extra and get something that lasts and is built tough. That's my piece of advice. It's not Funtowns fault if you buy something that is fragile and not put together well. Do your research! Bought RV here and they were very nice until we drove off the lot. Since then, we have not been able to contact them or get them to return our calls for some problems we have had with our brand new RV. We actually had to pay for work that should have been covered under warranty because they could not be bothered to help us. Very disappointed after purchase service, While we were buying the brand new travel trailer customer service was good. It was bought in January as I said brand new, February we moved to Acuna Mexico, In March I noticed a water leak coming front both slide-outs. I called Fun Town and spoke to service dept. I told them about leaks, I told them we were not able to bring it in right away, but I wanted to make them aware of the issue. I was told when I could get it there that "it would be taken care of",, Because of distance to dealer and the fact me and my family lived in trailer it was difficult to just drop it off. I called a local RV repair place and the tech told me it was absolutely and manufactory defect. When I finally got trailer back to area and had a place for my family to live while being repaired. I contacted Fun Town and was told that "the warrantee had expired and there was nothing they could do". just over a year, What a crappy thing to do, Later while purchasing more RV's from a local dealer, I had a issue with a 10 year old unit, a few months after I bought it, the dealer took it back in, replaced slide motor and even replaced my batteries, Repairs, parts, labor and battery was taking care of at. zero cost to me, they covered it under warranty,, on a 10 year old unit,, I was amazed and will only be purchasing my units at RV station, what a great customer service. We were first going to buy our rig from the Wharton location, but they didn't have our stock model. The Wharton manager (Arturo) that was working at this location was from the Giddings location. He knew that his location had this model in stock. With his quick action, he made sure that they reserved the RV for us and had a salesperson call us right away with the details we needed to come in the next day and pick up our RV. Shannon was the salesperson that he had to call us, and she was the best. She answered all our questions and took her time with us. She gave us useful pointers and told us the best places to get RV equipment. The business manager was easy to work with and made the check out process super smooth. This location was a little far for us, but we would make the trip again if we ever had to service or RV. Everyone was super friendly and helpful. read more

On December 2nd I contacted Russ Neumann about getting some Warranty work done on my Coachmen Freedom Express Liberty Edition. The Coroplast under coating had blown off on my last drive from Galveston, TX to Georgetown, TX. This was to be a warranty replacement because I had bought the trailer in Sapulpa OK and didn't want to drive back with an exposed under carriage and in the winter time. He setup an appointment for January 4th to have me bring over the trailer and have the undercoating replaced. I sent him my VIN number so that they could order the Coroplast and I would be with out my home for a short period of time. Well on Tuesday the 3rd I called to verify that everything was ready to go. He replied that they were behind and couldn't look at the trailer if I brought it over tomorrow. He also said that they couldn't pre order any parts until they saw the trailer. Then it would take 3 to 4 weeks for the parts to get in. So they weren't ready for me anyway. Since this is my home now that wasn't acceptable. I called the dealer I bought the trailer from in Oklahoma and they said that they should have rolls of Coroplast in stock and that this should have been a one day fix. It was obviously clear that they didn't want to do the work and support the product they are selling. read more

This was one is the easiest and headache free experiences we have ever had buying anything! John in sales was great and easy to work with, we never felt like he was trying to update us and we also felt he was a very honest sales person. Howard in the service department was fantastic! We probably asked him 1000 questions and he answered and helped make our walk through extremely easy. Do not take your RV here for service. A 2 hour annual inspections takes several days. I took my RV in for warranty work and they had it for 5 months. I take it back for the annual inspection and was told it would be done the same day when I made the appointment. When I arrived there was some spotty showers but had stopped by the time I left, They told me they could not do it right then because of the rain, 3 days later and its still not done with much run around and excuses. read more

WORST experience I have ever had with a dealership. Fun Town RV knowingly sold me a rusted piece of crap!! The entire belly of this brand new RV has rust on it. There is even rust inside the gas tank and inside the compartment for the gas hose and nozzle! Fun Town RV blamed the manufacture even though it's Fun Town's fault that the rust is there in the first place. They did not rinse the RV off properly when they brought it down in the winter and the salt they use up North to de-ice the roads created the rust. I bought the unit at the end of May and the trailer has been in the shop since the beginning of July. Can someone tell me how it is fair that I'm making payments on a brand new RV that is in the shop because of the failure of the dealership? We have had to cancel 2 summer trips because the rusted unit is sitting in their service department. Whatever you do DO NOT buy anything from Fun Town RV in Texas. If the people at the Giddings location has treated me like this, then any of the other locations would do the same! They are con artists and will do anything to get your money and then treat you like yesterday's garbage!! Again, DO NOT deal with Fun Town RV in Texas!!! We bought our RV 6 months ago and I wrote a review under Deb Tracy and I still stand by that review our experience was amazing when we bought it. But, now this review is for the service that has been horrible. We had items that needed to be fixed when we did our walk through and they all still have not been fixed and we have had it in there a few times. We told them multiple times the refrigerator wasn't working and they said they tested it and it was working and we went camping and filled the freezer and lost everything because it wasn't working. When we have taken it in we always leave it for at least two weeks and when my husband went to pick it up after two weeks they made him wait 4 hours while they did the work. He lost time at his job and we have lost food and a lot of money because of this. We took it in again two weeks ago and told them again about the refrigerator and they got Samsung out there and found out we are right and they have to replace the refrigerator and was told it would be a while before they could get one. So now we don't have a working refrigerator and we are going camping for Thanksgiving and now had to purchase something to keep things cold and frozen. I think they need to compensate us for all the time that has been lost the food that was lost and reimbursement for the portable fridge/freezer we bought. We are picking it up on Saturday and are paying over $1800.00 for damage that was caused by us. So we have to pay this plus bought a portable Fridge/Freezer for another $600.00 plus food we lost all the time we went camping because they said it worked so that was 500.00 and my husbands time and gas for multiple trips and things still aren't fixed. This has been a nightmare. read more

Shannon with sales was great, but our first trip in the RV showed us three water leaks. We took it in to be serviced and Jess in the service center has been full of lies ever since. Nothing was fixed even after she told one person it was and another it was not. So we have wasted time and gas to now be stuck bringing it back again. We even had videos and photos of the water leaks. Definitely not impressed with the service dept. Maybe if they can ever apologize and fix the issues, I will come update my review. read more

Let me begin by saying that I am writing this complaint against the financing staff who has tried to put my complaint off on corporate. I purchased an RV Toy Hauler from Fun Time RV, Giddings on the 13 of September. I had a trade on the deal that I still owed a sizeable amount. I wrote a check for a down payment which included the pay off amount to be sent to Wells Fargo. The sale went bumpy but I was finally able to pick up the RV after waiting several hours to have it prepped and finally go to Finance. (I was given a time to come in and pick it up but it wasn't ready for delivery). Again, I can tolerate the wait, after all I am picking up a new RV and a few hours I can handle. But my gripe comes when I am checking the status of my account with Wells Fargo who financed my old RV. I see no action has taken place and a payment is due tomorrow (Oct 2). I call Fun Town RV and try to speak with the Finance guy. Of course he isn't available, try to get a hold of my salesman but he doesn't come on the phone. I get the office lady who tells me the payoff was good until today (30 Sept.). Corporate makes the checks out to pay off outstanding loans and they are then sent to Giddings store for payment to the financial institution. She stated she had not received a check yet and that I should call my bank. Told her it wasn't my responsibility since FunTime has the funds that were tagged for a payoff. Got to pass the buck on to Corporate in the meantime I could be billed a late payment fee and a negative on my credit report thanks to these people. I am suppose to be getting a call back but I haven't received one yet. I want to say the only reason I gave them two stars is that I had to return to the location after some issues with a door that I couldn't get open after shutting it and a water leak. Both were fixed and I was very happy with the staff at service. read more

My boyfriend and I just purchased our first fifth wheel with Robert Lesiker and if we ever decide to get another he will be the first person we call. Robert was extremely professional and sincere throughout our entire buying process. He never once pressured us into something out of our price range, took the time to listen to us about our needs and made sure to show us floor plans that would fit them. There was a slight confusion about the scheduling of our delivery, Robert stepped up and offered himself as our driver so that we wouldn't have to worry or wait for another date to start our camping fun! Our experience was great!!! Our salesman, John was awesome and we didn't feel pressured at all during our purchase. We did a lot of online research as far as what we wanted to see, and after looking at a couple that we had in mind and not really being impressed John took us to look at a couple more that he thought may be more suitable for our family and he was right. On the day that we picked up our Forest River Sabre 36BHQ, Howard conducted the walk around with us and was there to explain anything that we needed an explanation on. Additionally, Howard was also available when I needed him to answer more questions a few days later on the phone. The finance department was able to beat any other offers out there, and I didn't feel pressured to purchase any additional items or warranties though they were offered to me at the time of the purchase as expected. This was our first purchase at Fun Town, but our third RV purchase and this was the best service that we have had. read more

The only good thing about my experience was our salesman John Kimm. The service department is a joke. I made an appointment to bring in my camper. I was clear that I needed it back in two weeks fixed or not. I called the morning I was dropping it off before my 2hr drive to the shop. I again asked if it would be ready in 2 weeks and was told the technician was waiting to start on it. I dropped it off to have the generator looked at and the fridge wasn't cooling. There were a few cosmetic problems you would expect on a new camper too. I told the service guy that I understood if problems arose and 2 weeks wouldn't be enough time. I just needed to know as soon as possible so I could cancel my reservations. I dropped it off on a Thursday and started calling the next Wednesday to check on my status. I never got anyone to answer my calls. I left 4 voice-mails and 4 emails. I even had the lady that answered the phone leave a note on his desk for him to call me back. By Saturday I was getting mad. I called the manager of the store and left a voice mail with him expressing my displeasure. An hour later the service guy calls me. He said that the tech working on it just started looking at it that morning and was now out to lunch. I told him I needed to know if it would be ready or not and he promised to call me back right after the tech showed back up from lunch. I guess he never came back because I didn't hear from anyone until Tuesday after at least 5 more calls. I was told there was nothing wrong with the generator or the fridge and the trim pieces were being ordered. I told him I would be there Thursday at 1 to pick it up. When I showed up I told them to show me that the generator was fine now. They couldn't even get it started. The battery was dead. After a new battery it started and I showed them that it would not run more than 1 ac. I was told that this generator was only able to run 1. I have had the same generator in other campers and it ran everything I could throw at it. I finally showed them that only 1 breaker was working on the generator and after scratching their heads one guy called the generator company and decided I need a new control panel. I was told that I didn't know how to shut my double door fridge and had to slam it to make it seal. When I got home I discovered that a "made in america" sticker that was placed on the bottom of the fridge by the factory had pulled up and wasn't letting the door shut. I was told that they would mail me the trim pieces and the control panel so I could put them on. My fingers are tired from typing already so I'll be quick. Got camper home. Decided to see if me putting on parts would void my Warranty. Called 6 times (twice to the manager's personal cell) Decided that I will go to Houston store for work. Had them call giddings but giddings wouldn't return their calls either. read more

I highly recommend to not go to any Fun Town Rv locations. When my wife and I arrived at Fun Town in Giddings, Tx we asked to look at a few rvs we we're interested in. As we started to look at some with salesman Chris Chapman, he lit up a cigarette in front of us and my wife being 30 weeks pregnant with our unborn child. He knew she was pregnant also. Very unprofessional and unbusiness like. I should have said something but let it fly and just beared with it. When we found one that we liked, we went inside and did a purchase order agreement and a deposit of a thousand. Checked with their banks to get approved. We got denied which was a blessing because they were offering 17% interest rate on a long term note. So I told the salesman we will go through our bank. He even agreed it would be a better idea. We had to wait a few days extra to get approved though our bank. I stayed in contact with them the whole time. They kept avoiding us each day I called and never returned my calls. Finally got through to the manager Keith Hesser and we spoke about my banks financing. My bank had already sent them drafting instructions. It went that far. He said he couldn't find my file. I showed up the next day with my father and we waited in the lobby for an hour to speak with someone. Then the salesman came out and greeted us and we sat down to talk about picking up the rv. He went to speak with the manager and came back to tell us it had been sold. So they sold it from underneath us. I didn't understand why the manager couldn't tell me the day before on the phone that it had been sold. They tried to sell us a different rv and look at a few others and my father told me to get my money back and let's get out of here. That is the biggest run around I have ever had in my life. There is nothing they can do or say that will make up for the time and inconvenience it's caused my family and I. No rebuttals here.. It's what happened and I will never be returning here or any of their stores. read more

My husband and I just recently bought a camper from here. Our buying experience was great! We couldn't have been happier with our sales person! But then we needed some minor repairs done before we could actually take it camping.... it has been 6 WEEKS and we are still waiting to get our camper back! The service department is terrible here! They will not return your calls, so it is pointless to leave a message, the service manager is NEVER "available" to speak with you. Their service technician that is suppose to be working on your camper seems to always be out until such and such date! Ridiculous! They sell you a camper, stress that you need to purchase an extended warranty package, and then it's like pulling teeth to get them to honor the package that they sold you! I can honestly say that I would not refer business to this location based on our experience with the service side of this establishment. read more

Horrible, worst ever experience. Do NOT buy a water hose from this place no less a RV. First I didn't take possession of the rig until almost 30 days past the bank funding the purchase. The brand new camper we purchased did not pass their testing because the front black tank dropped during the water test. Needless to say they needed to install a new tank. The installation was subpar as now 5 months later I am dealing with either the plumbing not connected properly or the vent tube not connected properly. The basement of the rig smells like sewage all of the time. In addition, the whole camper smells like crap while emptying the black tank. Thanks for providing me a lemon....again avoid this place at all cost! read more

Beware of this place, I drove two hours to get there, found a RV I wanted, gave them $2,000. to start paper work. My check was cashed the next day, two days later was told they could not finance me, the finance guy told me he would send me a check, I would get it in four days. I called back when the check was not in when he told me it would be, I e-mailed 5 times, called 4 different people to see where we were at on my check and no one returned my calls or responded to my e-mail so after 12days of no one returning my calls I filed a complaint with the BBB and guess what the very next day I got a call, we have your check how would you like us to get it to you, I told them I would come get it, so I drove 2 hours one way on Mothers Day to pick up my check because I did not trust them to mail it to me in proper time. BUYER BEWARE. I don't know why this place has so many five star reviews. Our experience was problematic. In fact, the only good aspects of our experience were getting the type of RV we were looking for at a reasonable price and the tech showing us how it worked. Everything else was a hassle. First, our salesperson dissuaded us from looking at pre-owned models, telling us they didn't have many on the lot. Minutes later we drove past some in the golf cart. (And two of those were in the floor plan we were looking for. I guess they get more commission when they sell the new RVs.) There were also administrative/organizational problems. We think our salesperson went on break WHILE WE WERE STILL THERE. Financing dragged on for weeks. And it wasn't until we'd hauled the RV far away that we realized we weren't given one of the keys for the model we bought - and that there was old food inside the unit. (A package of crackers in a cabinet and a half-chewed flauta behind the sofa.) I wasn't going to leave a review but the gross old food was too much. When you're paying thousands of dollars for something, is it too much to ask that someone cleans it out first? read more
