There was no proof, just that the item was missing. I told her I didn't take anything and offered to help look for it--if she stopped threatening me. Instead, she took me to court. It took three months for them to produce video footage, which confirmed what I'd said all along: I never stole anything. I was not found guilty of any crime, yet I was forced to pay over $1,500 in legal costs simply to defend myself against a baseless accusation. Glow Fish Studios doesn't feel like a business anymore--it feels like a sting operation run by someone who gets a little too much satisfaction from accusing and humiliating people. I used to shop here often. I have no criminal background. This was deeply traumatic, and it seems they care more about "catching shoplifters" than actually treating customers like human beings. If you value integrity, avoid this place. They are not the small business they pretend to be. Overpriced shit that isn't even from real witches. Just gentrified, rich white women who profit off aesthetics, not authenticity. Save yourself the drama and support Motown Witch or Moonlit Mystic LLC--actual Black-owned Detroit shops that honor the craft and don't treat their customers like suspects.

I was with my friend on a brisk Friday evening and we stumbled upon this place. We had asked around for souvenir shops in the vicinity, but ended up here at Roeda Studios. They actually had what I wanted here and thankful that I didn't have to go all over Ann Arbor to get it. In hindsight, Detroit airport didn't have much anyway and I was glad that I came here for souvenirs. We entered around 6pm, exhausted after searching through 3 nearby shops. When the cashier told us they carried Michigan inspired souvenirs, I was happy and thankful that the search was over. Roeda Studios is one of those stores that carries an assortment of trinkets and cute household things that you can decorate your home or office with. There's plenty of Michigan inspired items along with some University of Michigan logo items too. The store itself is very organized and meticulously clean. Just glad that I didn't need to buy at the airport on my way out in Detroit. The overall experience here at Roeda Studios here in downtown Ann Arbor, Michigan was quite nice and easy. Don't know if they had any public WiFi, but pretty sure they had central air conditioning. Roeda Studios is located at 319 S Main Street in the heart of downtown Ann Arbor, Michigan. They accept major credit cards and cash. Perfect for us out of towners, who are always on the go. We ended up parking at a parking garage that was about 2 blocks away. Kind of perfect though, especially with a low parking fee to park for 2 hours or so. Not sure about Ann Arbor's public transportation options, but best bet would be your own private car or rental. Or if you need it: uber or Lyft is at your service too. Roeda Studios has your Michigan inspired tourist souvenirs and ideas on how to spruce up your home decor or office space. Quite a nice little shop that I happen to stumble into. For the most part though, the experience here at Roeda Studios was quite uneventful and great that I didn't have to run around downtown Ann Arbor for Michigan inspired souvenirs. The service was friendly and quick. I'm glad my friend and I came here and, while prices here can be above average for touristy souvenirs, you can be sure that you do get a quality product here. My reference would be the $6 magnets you find at the typical airport kiosk to $10+ unique ones you find here at Roeda, if you were to find something special for Michigan. They have packed so many enchanting items into a small space you could look around for hours. One child loves fairy garden supplies, and they have many fun and unique finds. My other child loves jewelry, especially earrings. They had so many at all prices to fit your budget, from a few dollars to more elegant crystals and gems. They have a lot of great home and holiday decorations, plus a cute upstairs where they featured some discount items. I bought a couple little gifts and think this is a great place for find more gifts, especially for the holidays. I love this kind of boutique. Apple Annie's turned all my expectations right on their noggin'. The two women working here are magnificent. They immediately welcomed us. I browsed without feeing judged or patrolled. The place itself is cozy without feeling cluttered - the walls are a warm yellow. Please forgive my photographs because they don't do any justice to the beauty of the merchandise or the layout of the store. They have everything from civil war era items to stuff from the 1980s - prices range from a couple bucks to $500+. There are books to dvds to clothing to shoes to jewelry to glasses to postcards to furniture. I find things to be VERY reasonably priced. Many times I've picked up items, flipped them around expecting a cost I can't afford, and then being very pleasantly surprised to see that I can! Although I had the genuine intent of buying a fur cape and thus tried many on, Linda and Lynn (they even introduced themselves later!) didn't seem at all concerned whether or not I was going to actually buy something. This I liked a lot. Unfortunately, the piece I fell in love with was way out my price range (justly so). I am, however, already musing on how I can save up money for the buy in the future. A truly superb collection of hand-selected objects with wonderful shopkeepers. I come here to see what's new (nice things get snagged mighty quick so don't sleep!) and pretty much anytime I need a gift for any friend who appreciates old beautiful things. What a treasure trove.
