Great place to find a unique gift!! Their items are always changing and the way the store is styled is fantastic!

After spending nearly $100 at Glow Fish Studios during a relaxed visit on my day off several years ago, I received a direct text from the owner accusing me of stealing a $60 necklace and threatening to press charges unless I returned it. There was no proof, just that the item was missing. I told her I didn't take anything and offered to help look for it--if she stopped threatening me. Instead, she took me to court. It took three months for them to produce video footage, which confirmed what I'd said all along: I never stole anything. I was not found guilty of any crime, yet I was forced to pay over $1,500 in legal costs simply to defend myself against a baseless accusation. Glow Fish Studios doesn't feel like a business anymore--it feels like a sting operation run by someone who gets a little too much satisfaction from accusing and humiliating people. I used to shop here often. I have no criminal background. This was deeply traumatic, and it seems they care more about "catching shoplifters" than actually treating customers like human beings. If you value integrity, avoid this place. They are not the small business they pretend to be. Overpriced shit that isn't even from real witches. Just gentrified, rich white women who profit off aesthetics, not authenticity. Save yourself the drama and support Motown Witch or Moonlit Mystic LLC--actual Black-owned Detroit shops that honor the craft and don't treat their customers like suspects. read more

This local little gift shop has something for everyone and I love to browse to see what's new. Staff is very helpful and friendly. I was able to get nice Christmas gifts this trip, enough for a work $10 gift exchange plus other items to add and make other gifts more fun and special. read more

The shoppe that has everything you don't need but gotta have. I could spend hours and millions in this quaint lil shop. It literally has every novelty (except the ones I wanted). I will definitely make this a new stop while in Wyandotte. read more

We love Glow Fish! We're new to the area from Ann Arbor and instantly felt at home in this fantastic shop! I was walking past the store on Christmas Eve when a steel Nativity set caught my eye so I came inside. That Nativity set, like a few similar pieces, was made in Haiti from upcycled steel drums. They have a lot of Mexican folk art as well as pieces by Michigan artists. Glow Fish has a ton of spiritual and religious items with a fair number of Catholic and Hindu artwork along with a boatload of Buddhist items. I counted somewhere around 50 different Buddha statues in varying sizes, colors and materials. I was surprised to see that they have a lot of duplicates, kind of unusual for a place that sells art and niche items. Service is very prompt and friendly -- they are quick to greet you and offer help. read more

My absolute most favorite place in Wyandotte, possibly anywhere. The vibe is always welcoming and chill, the staff is amazing, and I just genuinely feel happy every time I leave. They have an amazing variety of products, which they update often. And there's always a bit of something for everyone. read more

I don't buy much, but the products are great quality, and not very expensive either! Staff is polite, products are good quality, easily catches the eye, and you aren't spending an excessive amount! this store has great products. but staff is unbelievably rude. did not follow covid precautions, the manager herself even put her OWN HANDS on my friend and i. maam, 6 feet distance please. wasn't even remorseful at all, couldn't supply an apology. definitely will not be shopping here again, i'll take the 30 min drive to a different store. very disappointed read more

I adore this place! They constantly have new and unique items you just won't find anywhere else. There is really nothing here I would classify as a "need", but I have a wish list a mile long! I bought a beautiful scarf that is soft with a beautiful pink and white print from a huge selection of other scarves I'd love to have. Then at the same time a reusable tote for shopping with an awesome Dia De Los Muertos (they have lots of this stuff) print on it. I have bracelets, lotions and perfumes as well. You must see this place! It'll be well-worth the drive if you don't live in Wyandotte and if you do, GET IN THERE! :) you'll adore it!!!! read more

I traveled down to Wyandotte Art Fair and was immediately introduced to a wonderful store on my first (and last) stop. Besides having a fun atmosphere and a wide assortment of items from books, decor, clothing, toys, and a variety of eclectic items, the store is staffed by friendly, helpful, smiling people ready to assist without being pushy. Cool and unique products, and most of the staff are polite. However, several employees let me know about a type of "rewards program" where you give your name and after spending $100, you get $10 off your next purchase. I purposely spent more than planned so I could earn the reward, but I was told that I could use my reward for my next purchase. Fine. I tried to use it the next time I was in, but the employee there at the time told me that I had to have the manager do it. I came in days later and the super rude manager came up with every excuse possible not to let me use it. "You didn't earn it... You had to use it sooner... You didn't earn it in the on time, the employee lied to you... I can't do it... Too bad..." Blah blah. What the hell? I used to shop there all the time but only came back once after that and didn't buy anything. It's not that I'm a whiner, but if you're going to offer something, don't back down and make me feel like a jerk. That's a great way to lose frequent customers. You're better off finding quirky knickknacks on Amazon or eBay. read more
