At times when she's working out a knot in my muscles or hitting one f the release points which I just realized after reading the link on their website to reflexology and therefore was part of the massage that I had this afternoon and actually prior she is so empathetic about causing the necessary or I suppose the word would be associated pain that I feel that I have to remind her "No pain no gain". The kindness and empathy in no way stop her in those times as she pushes my muscles or releases the pressure points until they release and the pain goes away foe the most part. I'm young old age with the aches and pains that come from a life lived fully with plenty of overuse, some abuse, yes some misuse. I've been an amateur athlete most of my life in sports with high potential for damaging your body. I was a computer geek for decades. I'm an abuse survivor. I've had multiple broken bones , carpal tunnel syndrome, knee issues starting in the 70's which have gotten into degeneration which lead to hip issues. I carry stress in my shoulders. Pain is something that is another part of the day without any outside means. The following may sound counter intuitive but I learned long ago that you have to see through pain to get through so much that I refuse to not live the best most active life I can. Hannah's massages have greatly increased my ability to to just so and helped me feel more positive in general. I walk pretty good distances for an old lady, averaging 5 miles per day with some days more. I dance every chance I get and have work my old body needs to do around the house where my legs and arms have plenty of knots of their very own. Well before she is done with her magic within my muscles and what she can do structurally so much of the stress and pain in my body are released or smoothed out. When she's done I feel taller as she has made my body straighten out. My mind is always calmer. Today started out rough for me but I felt so wonderful leaving that I walked most of the 6 miles home. I also rearranged my schedule to make these appointments work and both were cancelled with little or no notice.
