Played here 6/16/26…read more 5 stars: Course is gorgeous! It's an old school type course, a better than average muni. Relaxing and peaceful. Beautiful mature Monterey Pine, oak, eucalyptus, cypress trees, chaparral wilderness. Course layout is perfect. No houses on course!:) No throw away holes. No ugly holes. Each hole is challenging and fun to play. Greens are challenging. Course and greens are in good shape. Hole 17 is especially beautiful. Bring extra balls. If a ball goes into the wilderness area, don't try to retrieve it. There are steep slopes and poison oak. On course restroom locations are well placed. Pro shop personnel and starter were polite and helpful. 2 Stars: Tee boxes are pretty chewed up, needing some serious TLC. On course restrooms could be cleaner. 1 star: Golf carts are older, no GPS, ours barely made it 18 holes. Braking system is severely herky jerky and prone to rolling if brake is not perfectly set. This course is so beautiful and fun and relaxing, would definitely play here again.

First time in like 20+ years playing DeLaveaga, and the course is in pretty solid shape!…read more I hadn't played the course in so long, I totally forgot how tight the tee shots were. It's definitely a course where it's more important to be accurate vs long. There's a lot of downhills and uphill lies that you'll have to hit from so it definitely presents a challenge for all skills levels. The greens were in pretty good shape and rolled on the quicker side. Some of the bunkers could use some love but overall the course itself was a fun play. It's quite a drive for me so it's not somewhere I'd play often but it's a solid place to play in the area that doesn't break the bank. We got our tee time through a hot deal of GolfNow so we were able to get a discounted rate for a saturday tee time. Definitely was a good deal for a weekend and it included a cart. Although the course is pretty walkable so next time I'd probably use my push cart.

Solid course! Had a little bit of a hard time figuring out where to start, but another patron led…read moreus to the promised land. I can't recall how much we paid, but it was inexpensive. My buddy brought me here, as it is supposed to be one of the best courses out there. I thought it was solid, but maybe I'm just spoiled with our local SD courses. There is a little sport shop where you can pick up some necessities, which was nice. Bring cash so you can pay the parking donation. Fun times are ahead, enjoy!

What a treat to get to visit DeLa, especially for a newbie with 4 months of playing!…read more Visiting this place was a mix of emotion and terror and all the hype about this place I've read is true. Getting to DeLa was a bit of a winding course through Santa Cruz mountains and you pass through the local golf course first. However, once you get into the wooded area, it sinks in how massive this place really is. Driving toward the parking lot we really saw how technical and complicated this course was. An important thing to note is that this course really isn't designed for the novice and that there are certain rules to follow. We were playing with monthly so we came in between tee times and we're required to let this on a tee time play through. This wasn't a big deal and it was really awesome just to experience this place. The parking lot is pretty small and I believe patience is important out here.

AMAZING getaway close to San Francisco!! My husband and I are always trying to figure out nature…read moregetaways close to SF that aren't super crowded. We drove down from SF on a Friday (learn from our mistake: avoid taking 101-S on Friday afternoon!..). We stayed in the Hummingbird room which has its own hot tub - it was incredible to soak in a hot tub underneath the stars after hiking an 8-miler at Big Basin. David and Susan were warm, accessible hosts who were immediately responsive via text (the property is large enough that you can go without seeing other people for many hours). It's a quick (~25 min) drive to Big Basin Redwoods National Park as well as the cute towns of Boulder Creek and Ben Lomond. So affordable for the value. Highly recommended!!! We want to return with a group of friends and/or family since there are multiple rooms at this B&B so it would be a perfect group retreat. They are currently going through some renovations on the property but nothing that was distracting or loud. Book it now!

UPDATE ON SKYHOUSE. Although we had an amazing Company retreat at this house, the communications…read moreregarding the refundable deposit owed to us has been hell. To date, we have not received our funds back and no response from emails, texts or phone calls. Poor business ethic. Just had the most enjoyable and incredible company working session at the Skyhouse. The Robinsons and their awesome staff (Kathy Jo, Stacy and Billy) took very good care of us and we didn't have to do a thing. All communications was via email and our catering needs and any questions we had were answered quickly and efficiently and it was a joy to know that when our group arrived, we would be taken care of. We had lunch and breakfast catered and have a mixed group of vegans, vegetarians and other and EVERYONE was happy. Prior to our arrival, I needed suggestions on the rooming arrangements and David was awesome in making some very helpful suggestions. The venue was the perfect spot for our team to collaborate together while being able to have open discussions about trust and working better as a team. We used both the outside deck and inside living area for our working sessions AND the kitchen for our team activity -- cooking a four course meal together. The ONLY downside was that we worked too hard and didn't have a chance to fully enjoy the space and surrounding areas but at least we got in a couple of drives from the golf tee and a couple of folks jumped into the hot tubs. To say that the view is awe inspiring would be an understatement. You have to go and view the place and spend time to fully enjoy what the Skyhouse offers.
