She took me to her office where she spent 30 minutes telling me I was fat. And then presented me with the program. To lose weight you must pay $697 dollars for blood work and to talk to the doctor. And then weekly fees after that to see the doctor and the nutritionist PLUS the cost of their boxed meals. Which they call "meal replacements " To lose weight you must buy their food which is not even regulated by the food and drug department. it's 29.99 a box for 7 meals. An average person would easily spend $300.00 a month at least on these boxed meals that you add water to. There is nothing "medical " about this. It's high pressure sales and eating boxed meals. It's not healthy or nutritious. Studies show it won't work for the long term weight management either. I'm going to stay with my actual medical doctor suggestion and eat healthy foods and exercise and continue my weight loss journey the correct way. This place preys upon your emotions and makes a ton of money off boxed food. BUYER BEWARE!!!!!

The medical attention and the bench marks that I can see sucess. So far in 30 days I have lost 39 pounds since I started the process. The best is that the body scans are showing its not all water loss, but actual fat. My husband is noticing the difference so its showing. This is a great and intense program that resets my metabolism and with lots of vitamins and minerals may nutritional deficiency is being corrected.

I chose Oak street because of the advertisements I had seen. Needless to say, ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE experience. The waiting room was empty except for one other person. I was taken back to see the the patient relations manager who promptly stated that she noticed I didn't have supplemental insurance and then handed me her card and said that if I wanted to enroll in the supplemental insurance to give her a call. REALLY canvassing business!!. When I returned to the waiting room I had to wait 45 minutes to be taken to an exam room. The medical assistant took my height and weight and other vital signs. She stated I was 5'1" tall. Imagine my surprise when I have measured 5' 21/2" my whole adult life. (after I returned home I measured myself-guess what I'm 5' 21/2" after all). She also stated my blood pressure elevated. I take my blood pressure daily and have never had a blood pressure as high as she recorded. and I told the medical assistant so. She told me she had a better machine to retake my pressure-which wasn't done. The Nurse practitioner came in and never asked me pertinent questioner due to my "supposed" elevated pressure. Never once asked about my occupation (nurse) or my educational level (master's degree), so I am not ignorant of health practices. When I told her I was having bouts of anxiety due to being the primary care giver to my 89 year old mother she suggested anti-depressant Zoloft. Told her I wanted blood work to determine baseline since I haven't had a physical in 10 years. When I refused the Zoloft she said we weren't a match and ended the exam. STAY AWAY IF YOU HAVE OTHER OPTIONS! Incompetent staff.

From the very first visit, I was treated not just as a patient, but as a human being. I especially want to recognize Lynn at reception for always being warm and welcoming. The nurses -- Stacey, Mariam, Kristen, Sarah, and Shelley -- are absolutely exceptional. Each of them has shown genuine compassion, patience, and professionalism. They take the time to listen, explain every step, and make sure I feel comfortable and cared for. I have never once felt rushed or dismissed. Dr. Justensen is knowledgeable, attentive, and truly compassionate. The level of empathy and quality of care this team provides goes beyond medical treatment -- they restore confidence, dignity, and hope during a very vulnerable time. Wound care can be physically and emotionally draining, but this team makes you feel safe, supported, and respected every step of the way. I highly recommend KU's Wound Care to anyone needing specialized, compassionate treatment. You will truly be in the best hands.
