I was delighted when my aunt took me to this great gym in our own little Rockledge to do just that. The equipment is brand-spanking new and state of the art, and there is a huge variety of machines to choose from. There are also something like 8 treadmills, 6 bikes, 3 elliptical and a partridge and a pear ... oh, I meant and super clean showers! The demographics of the other gym goers were very reflective of the area. One morning I was there about 8:30, and the place was a little like a senior day club. It was great for me because I really didn't have to change the weights in any of the machines :) And it was really cute - "Hi Bernie!" "Morning Stella!" Clearly, this is a popular 60+ hang out in the morning. Another day I was there about 4:30, and the gym was overcome by meat head-athlete types from the local high school. Scary stuff. Go in the morning to avoid testosterone overload. And finally - there are no lockers. There are cubbies! No joke. This is how tiny little Rockledge is. You put your purse, your phone, your ipod, whatever, in a cubby! And no one heists your stuff. And the owner remembered my name the second time I came in. I went to Pipeworks for over a year and I'm certain no one that works there ever addressed me, let alone to say "Morning, Amber!" Amazing.

A handful of repeatedly egregious, disrespectful violators, have sadly ruined the experience for EVERY member. The logical solution would be to temporarily suspend these persons after their second violation, rather than sternly chastising ALL members in the little TV lounge area texting their boss or their family. This is what this small area should be for! We all have a life & need to communicate. The chairs screech when moved. Please do something! We need a place to sit and communicate. The cafe is too loud and the chairs screeching across the floor is hideous. Not a nice atmosphere; much too noisy and chaotic. The hospital cafeteria is 1,000 times more pleasant and has comfortable booths and no loud, screeching chairs or loud meetings or people on obnoxious speaker phones. This is not a Cafe! This gym cafe doesn't stand a chance to survive. The doctor is smart & kind; she deserves better chairs & a quieter area for her patrons. Put up a curtain if need be! Now it's like an ultra corporate military boot camp; no longer fun & relaxing. Were stalked by the phone militant towel gal. It's as if you committed a crime texting your boss. Some of us are working while there; we're working 'On Call' & are "required" to check our messages. It's 2026: people must WORK! It's boot camp chastising by one female lacking people skills; always acts stressed/annoyed; like she doesn't like her job & can't wait to go home. Please remove her from weekend shifts. She wants to rush us out of there. Many members notice this. Have none of the Managers or Supervisor's noticed how she talks to members in locker rooms? It's as if we are an imposition to her rolling her towel cart around. The other gal Claudia, with short dark hair & glasses is awesome. We resent being babysat. Were accomplished adults & it's an invasion of privacy. I don't need to be asked if I'm done with my towel! When done, I put it in the cart! She needs to leave members alone please. . We do not want to be micro-managed by this one towel gal. It's too aggressive & controlling.

I really appreciate having this Planet Fitness location in Brevard County. I've exercised at this…read morelocation many times. I remember the very first time that I exercised here. I was so sick from chronic stress syndrome that I could only work out on the elliptical for 5 minutes! I told myself that I would increase my workouts by 5 minutes each day that I came to the gym. The next day after my workout, I felt SO much better, just even working out for that first 5 minute workout, that I continued to come back every day. It was like medicine. This is a huge reason why I believe holistic medicine is so very important in our lives and exercise is a form of holistic medicine. Well I came back 6 days a week from that day on, and I quickly brought my workout sessions up to 60 minutes a session on the elliptical. This is such a wonderful gym, at such an affordable membership price. They even have showers! Thank you Planet Fitness for giving me an affordable, supportive, safe, fun, and healing place to workout. You and your fantastic team are very much appreciated!

The ceiling lights are dim and some are broken. It doesn't feel as modern compared to the Merritt island or spacious, but I feel Rockledge is bigger with more equipment. I noticed they had stretching machines & other types of equipment the other location didn't have. It is an overall clean facility. I didn't like how the spray bottles are hung on the garbage cans. Other locations I've been to had a separate table or hangover area for spray bottles. Staff looked like they did their best to clean & I saw a young lady vacuuming, staff wiping machines & sweeping. This gym is crowded and has a diverse crowd from high schoolers, college students to seniors. It is definitely not an equinox or bodybuilding gym--Some very fit, and some are starting their journey. I'm not surprised because Viera is known for families & Florida in general is known for its senior community. I came in around 5pm on a Tuesday & observed someone being trained in front of me. I know that this type of gym is where most personal trainers Will start their experience. The trainer didn't seem attentive. The trainer was checking out a girl passing by & not engaged with the trainee. They were on their phone and not that friendly or smiling to encourage the trainee. They did however clean the equipment for them . Maybe the trainer was tired, but usually one on one trainings needs more attention or engagement. I've had trainers from other similar gyms like EOS & 24 fitness where some are good and others weren't as attentive or professional, so if you're going to get a trainer here just make note of what you like or don't like with your trainer. I noticed this same trainer give a tour to a prospective trainee with better engagement. I feel the Black spa facilities are better at Merritt island. I used the massage chair at this location and it was still good, just not as new. I'm not a big fan of this location-- Dim lighting with low ceilings feels outdated, crowded, and black spa needs more machines.

Please forgive the length of this review but it is important to me…read more I joined this gym to build back the muscle I lost during my cancer treatment which involved surgery and six months of chemotherapy. I knew I was going to need a trainer to insure I wouldn't hurt myself trying to lift something too heavy, or fall from attempting an exercise that my extremely weak body couldn't handle. I was referred by my friend to hire Debbie Barnes to train me. I will admit that what I have endured through my cancer diagnosis and treatment was harder than anything I went through and when I started with Debbie I had a wealth of fear and reservations. We agreed to start my workout at 6:30AM on Monday, Wednesday and Fridays for 30 minutes. The gym is nice and cool with plenty of equipment. Some of it needs a little maintenence here and there but overall it's in good shape. The bathrooms are always clean and stocked with the adequate amount of soap and paper towels. There are plenty of machines, free weights, treadmills, bikes and so on. I never have to wait on a machine. One of the things that I appreciate is that everyone wipes down the machines or weights after using them to minimize the spread of germs. Debbie is extremely knowledgeable and was conscienous of my inability to do much when I first started. We began with little or no weight on the machines which was all I could tolerate. I still remember my first work out and how I thought I was going to die right their in front of everyone. It has been three months since that day and I have been as dedicated as anyone could be to working out considering my condition. What's the point of this diatribe you may ask? Good question. It is to show you that this establishment has dedicated individuals who care about what they do and where they do it. They realize that a business is more about the flesh than the paper that runs it. If you are looking for a well maintained gym with knowledgeable and caring staff, you found it!

I first went there in 2021 and recently returned. It seemed like the same cardio equipment that was "out of order" then is still out of order. Of the ellipticals that function, only four are worthwhile and one would not find these 4 in better run facilities. It needs a wholesale cleaning and upgrade in every piece of equipment. Since the owner's know they are the only game in town, there is NO SHOT of that happening. Use it for a work-out, but be prepared to be keenly underwhelmed. It's a really tired space that has so much potential to be great. The owner's are not in a rush to make it so.

The owner and staff trainers have been incredibly supportive of everyone's fitness and their goals. They're all just a great group of professionals! Lots of classes are offered each day, and signing up for classes is super easy using their app. I really like the consistency they've upheld over the last three years. They also offer personal training packages and open gym rates which I would recommend if you are considering that.
