While friends "age" before my eyes, I enjoy freedom of life and movement without pain, and I'm the same height I was when in my 20's! How much time does your health care provider spend with you? Mine spends what we need. Today it was half an hour. Not a typo, 30 minutes to answer my questions and address my concerns. I've never felt rushed or talked down to. He's even called us at home to check on up during illnesses. How many providers truly care that much?

I've debated on writing this review because I truly believe Liliya has genuine care for patients…read more However, when thinking about the misguided medical advice and hundreds and hundreds of dollars I spent, I feel the need to strongly advise women 35 and older to avoid her practice.  I don't want anyone else to waste time and money like I did.  I came to Liliya in an attempt to find relief from extreme anxiety, weight gain, gastrointestinal issues, and migraines. After many months of following Liliya's treatment plan, which included expensive cleanses, supplements, hair tests, pellets, and sound bites on top of her monthly fee, I was no better.  Enough was enough. I had to find more adequate care to find out what I had already suspected, my symptoms were due to menopause. I had mentioned this suspicion to Liliya but she blew me off.  Liliya's approach was fragmented, focusing on individual symptoms rather than addressing the underlying hormonal imbalance.  The whole reason I came to a holistic doctor was to have my body looked at as a whole, and Liliya was not doing this.  I remember Liliya saying that I had "so many different symptoms" that she needed to focus on what was bothering me most first.  Well any medical practitioner who knows anything about menopause would recognize every one of the symptoms I was experiencing as menopause. We're not talking about some obscure disease that no one has heard of.  We are talking about menopause. A period of life that every woman goes through if she lives long enough. With the symptoms I was experiencing, this should have been one of the first, if not the very first thing ruled out before going through the crazy litany of potions she continued to sell me for months on end. I urge others to seek a practitioner who can effectively address hormonal issues and provide comprehensive care. The time and money I wasted on Liliya's treatments were infuriating.

This physician will act like she is listening to you but she truly isn't. she prescribes things…read morewithout taking a complete history or performing a physical exam, yet she will complete paperwork that makes it appear that she conducted an actual exam. She uses the same treatment regime for all patients without discussing side effects. They tout concierge medicine but it is nothing like it. I would recommend avoiding her. When I emailed about side effects from one of her prescriptions she informed me she was out of the office. Not impressed.

Currently my care is provided by NP Michelle, who is fantastically thorough and has a wonderful bedside manner. Everyone in the office has always been polite, efficient, kind, patient, professional and respectful. Dr fleece was encouraging during various health concerns and was straight forward about prognosis and health outcomes. She would allow me to make decisions for my health, but kept me abreast of the health benefits and risk even if I didn't agree with her. If I could give zero stars I would…read more TL; DR - If you are looking for a practice that offers ridiculously long wait times, an incredibly rude front office staff, and medical care that will feel rushed, careless and like they have no clue that they're doing, this is the place for you! Avoid this place. They will see you for 5 minutes after you've been waiting loooooong past your scheduled appointment time. Multiple times we've waited for over an hour to be seen. This was not an isolated incident as it has happened consistently regardless of when the appt is scheduled (morning, afternoon, etc.). If the care we received was worth it, I don't think we'd mind waiting but in multiple visits the PA/NP (Nicole?) has been neither thorough nor compassionate. I wasn't going to leave a review but was truly shocked to see their high rating so felt I owed the community at large a fair warning. Stay away from this practice unless you are looking for a practice that wastes your time and gives you subpar care. There are better places in the nearby area (Troy, Birmingham) who will value your time and treat you with the compassionate care you deserve. If you are already a patient here, I encourage you to find another practice and potentially look into filing a formal complaint through LARA as well as your insurance company if your "care" was as subpar as ours has been, as I will be looking into. This is absolutely appalling. But at least the front office staff is pleasant! Kidding - they're incredibly rude and unhelpful - negativity attracts negativity. If you're a potential patient give them a call and see how helpful they are about your questions or scheduling before you commit to get a taste of what you'll be dealing with. FRAUD! This place Dr. Lawrence practices at should be called "The Endocrine Learing Center". First…read moreyou will only speak to the actual Dr. on your 1st visit, every time following that you will only speak with their "assistant". The assistants are good, but seem to be over worked because they NEVER follow up on anything they discuss with you. You will have to continuously call back to request for follow up on the things you discussed with them. I went in for an insulin pump on my 1st visit and gave up after a year of seeing no progress. I went to my PCP instead and had a pump within a month. You will also have to wait at least 6 months to get an appointment to speak with these "assistants". Here's the straw that finally broke the camel's back for me. I had a heart attack and while in the hospital one of the Doctors from this fraudulent office stopped into my room each day. They looked at my blood pressure and said, "Your blood pressure looks good, I'll stop back later to discuss your diabetes with you." They never stopped back later to discuss my diabetes but came back the very next day with the exact same story..."your blood pressure looks good, I'll stop back later." When I reviewed my hospital billing, those visits where they stopped in to tell me my blood pressure looked good were billed as "Endocrine Specialist Diabetes Counselling". This is obviously insurance fraud and likely the reason you can never see the actual Doctor at your office visits. The Doctors are too busy scanning the patient logs at the hospitals to see who has diabetes so they can make these 5 minute blood pressure comment visits and charge them as diabetes specialist counselling visitations while they have hired assistants acting as Doctors at their office. Don't just walk, but RUN away from this fraud of a Doctor!

It might take awhile to get an appointment, but that just speaks to her popularity as more patients find her and love her.

I would have never thought this would be possible without them. I had severe IBS and severe mental health issues and was on at least 10 pills a day and suffering. My GI doctor told me this was the life I had to live with my diagnosis. I met Dr. Farkas and his team and in about 4-5 months I was off of all my pills- psychiatric and stomach pills. He is definitely an answered prayer. I lost 50 lbs and got my life back. I don't suffer with my stomach or mind like I used to.
