Bobs already been paid! Ive paid credit company $725 already! Lie after lie after lie! I have video of June 13th! I am in disbelief of the games ansld run around ive recieved! When they showed up, only the recliners were delivered. Said the couch was still on order, but would not charge us another delivery fee when it came in. While waiting for the loveseat, there were several social media posts about the doors being closed, and no one could get hold of them. Many of our calls went unanswered. After a few weeks of this, I initiated a chargeback on my card. About 6 weeks later, they called to schedule delivery. We asked if this was the one we ordered or the display model. They said it was the display, to which we replied that we want the one we ordered. Eventually, we determined that we were not going to get what we ordered, so we decided to negotiate on the display model. We asked for $300 off, and they accepted. I called my bank to cancel the chargeback, but was unable to. Once they ruled in our favor, we told Gustafson's that we'd still purchase the display model as long as the discount was honored. Whomever I spoke with said the agreement was only for $150 off, and they never agreed to $300. At this point, we decided that we would not continue doing business with them and cut off all communication. Now, I see going-out-of-business sale signs everywhere, so it's so long now. Hopefully, others who had money there got it back before they shutter for good.

After conveying what we were looking for she lead us to the area that we might be interested in. It turned out to be one of those 3 Bears story. We both fell in love with one of the items on the showroom floor as it was just right. What made it even better is when we began working with Amanda (the designer). We were able to see what our room would look like with the new furnishings. When it came to customizing it took a few days to choose fabric and color. You get to take samples home to view. Once all the choices were made we did order the goods. Now the wait begins. Assembled in the USA.

The store is very cute. It is very easy to pass by because it is in a residential area. There are no other businesses around it and the signage is pretty subtle. There are minimal amounts of vintage items. There are lots of items you can find in other stores in Geneva, etc. There did seem to be an abundance of beachy items which I didn't expect in a place called Urban Farmgirl. If you are thinking that you will be checking out lots of vintage items or updated vintage items, that isn't the case. There is some of this, but mostly new items. It's a very cute store and worth a browse.

After working with the district manager, he was able to make things right and offer better compensation for lost time and inconvenience. I felt, in the end, everybody really tried to make things right after everything that happened, and I truly want to believe they mean well and that things like this wouldn't happen again. I feel more confident in their resolutions, but only time will tell if something like this may happen again. If it does, however, I know the company will be there to try to make it right. My advice? Feel free to use them (they ARE friendly and truly want to help), but maybe not if you're on a time crunch. I am moving, and I had ordered a bed and several accessories (several thousands of dollars in purchases) on the 9th of August and was told it would arrive the 18th of August (just a few days before school begins for me, which was perfect). Well, the 18th rolls around and we haven't heard a word from MattressFirm, so we reach out. Turns out they made a mistake in the shipment of the bed and wouldn't have it to me until the 23rd. This move had been a huge hassle to begin with, and this has just made everything that much more of a trainwreck. The I had to call family to wait around for the bed at my apartment because I would be in class by that point and unable to intercept the delivery. For the hassle they caused, I was only offered a cheap mattress and frame to use in the interim (calling it a "bed" would be laughable). They tried to make it sound like they were doing me a favor in providing this, despite how cheap it is. I was better off getting an inflatable mattress to use from Meijer. After all this, I call them back a few days after my mattress had been delivered (they said they'd have their manager reach out to me, but he never did), and yet I'm still getting all these emails saying "you didn't rate us yet!", so I submitted one saying I wasn't satisfied, and I got a call from another manager from a different store. On top of all this, two pillows I ordered were supposedly coming from the manufacturer and have apparently been "in-transit" for almost a month now. He offered to refund the price of the pillows (about $200) and an additional small refund for the inconvenience (another $200). Considering the price we've doled out for everything (over $4,000) and having to have gone without almost all of it for almost 2 weeks now, I could hardly call this a professional business setting. I understand some of the staff I dealt with seem to be trying, but just "trying" does not make a company an excellent business establishment. I cannot in good faith recommend this company, and will be telling my friends and acquaintances to avoid using Mattress Firm going forward.
