As a former Registered Dental Assistant i was in total shock. It took the doctor less than two minutes to extract it. I insisted my husband call back and he spoke to the Dr who agreed he had been overcharged. 2 months later the Dr Pikos will not come to the phone despite 5 or 6 attempts to speak to him. No refund has been given. I am going to file a complaint with my insurance company as this is quite poor business.

I have been going to him for few years, trying to fix the damage done by another doctor - Dr. Crawford. Yes, the one that had interview with the local TV, the one who after procedure have no time for you, and who's wife at the counter yelled at me for rescheduling an appointment. I can't say enough good things about Dr. Yu and his office girls. So gentle, so caring, so intelligent. Every year he is attending classes in EU to update his knowledge with the latest in dentistry. If you see his office, you will know that the equipment and the services he performs are different quality, from others. You don't feel the needle with anesthesia, implants are ceramic, one piece and much more. But the most important fact is:: He cares about the patient, he will not compromise for more expensive procedures, something many others do. And when the dentist cares more about money, the service you get won't be what you need and possibly create more problems. That is exactly what happens to me, and Dr. Yu has fixed everything. Knowing so many others, I am afraid to visit another dentist. Be very careful when you choose one. Your teeth are very serious business! Never write a review right after you had something done. The problem is treated, you feel good, but what happened after the anesthesia wear off? Always wait few months, at least. I made that mistake and many others have too. He seemed to get irritated if you take too much of his time or ask too many questions. I had to ask for the antibiotics after the gum surgery, and he gave me the prescription as a photocopy, rather than the original receipt, which I have never seen any doctor's office do. Neither he nor his staff ever called to check back on me to see how I was doing, even though I have serious medical issues. I researched his records online, and found he has some criminal records, which I did not discover until after I had the bone graft. When I tried to call for a checkup after the 4 month healing period, their phones were blocking my calls. I tried to reach them for 2 weeks by asking someone to go by there and tell them I was trying to reach them, and they claimed they were having problems with their phones. What doctor's office leaves their phones out of service for 2 weeks, and does not answer calls from their patients? I won't be back there. I would carefully consider being careful to not put my care into any dentist who conducts his practice in such a cold, calculating manner as that. I do not recommend this doctor.

Also, Dr told me I need to get rid of my two root canals. Of course, at first I took care of the Area behind the gums first. I started feeling a little better. However, a year or later I had another episode. That's when I decided to get rid of the root canals. I was super scared. The procedure went very well and smooth with no issues. My lung capacity increased right away. I was finally able to breathe with the full lungs. I told everyone about it. It happened within an hour after my root canals were taken out. Then I waited until everything is secure and safe in my mouth to place the implants. Customer service and their attention that I received in this office is above and beyond.
