My favorite dentist! The staff is wonderful. No long waits. Dr. Caputo is caring, very professional and is gifted in his work. He has been my dentist for MANY years and I actually look forward to stopping by for a "visit" (exam or teeth cleaning). This happened a while ago, but youdon't forget when you get have a totally incompetent doctor. I had pain in a molar, Caputo told me it was fine. I made the mistake of believing him. His hygienist who pretended to clean my teeth was completely out of it, I seriously thought she was drugged, and she spent about 15 minutes max on them. I'd been going to Caputo for a while so on my last visit, I told him again about the same pain, and he checked the x-rays came back as white as a sheet, & told me my teeth were fine, I knew my teeth were not fine, so I went to an expert at another practice, who said I had major problems. In fact, in the exact area that Caputo claimed was fine. I Had three dead teeth thanks to the incompetent work of endodontists in South Tampa. They cracked three of my teeth. Those three had to be extracted, and I needed implants, not by Caputo, of course since he can't be trusted, and had just lied to me, but by another dentist. Evidently Caputo did not want to do the work, so he pretended I was fine when that was definitely not the case. I don't know how these guys, who blatantly lie to patients, keep their license. And unfortunately, I referred a family member to the fraud Caputo, he did dental implants for her & now the work is going bad and will need to be redone for a LOT of money. read more

My mom is a former dental hygienist and is very picky about who she goes to for work. She needed a bridge to be replaced, and she was thrilled when she found Dr. Caputo. She said he was the best dentist she had been to in years. She also really liked the work the female technician did on her bridge. She couldn't stop raving about their skills. However, my mom can't go to Dr. Caputo any longer because her Medicare plan is not accepted. At first, this was a moment of stress because my mom thought she would have to pay for the whole procedure out of pocket (the office had originally told her insurance would pay for half of the procedure.) After speaking with Dr. Caputo's billing agent, she agreed to reduce my mother's financial responsibility, and her bill was reduced by $978. This was a huge relief. I wish my mom could see this dentist because everything about his office seems top notch. If you have the insurance they accept, don't hesitate to make an appointment. read more

Look no further this is a man of great skill compassion and integrity he has been my dentist since about 2015. Keep in mind his team is of equal caliber and most have remained with him all these years that says something! While he is adding more help I am sure because of popularity you can rest assured his picks are of up to his standard. My wife fears the dentist and just loves this place. The hygienist Tara did a really great job on my cleaning and in 6 months I will add a review about the other new one since wife has relegated me to the other Hygienist since she really liked Tara but rest assured I know if Dr Caputo approves of her she is top notch! FIVE STARS! I've been going to Dr. Caputo's for over 30 years, honestly he and his team feel like family to me. You know someone is not only a doctor, but also a good employer when their staff stay there for the long haul. They always greet me with a big smile on their faces and always seem genuinely happy to see me. Dr. Caputo has such good bed side manner. He's very friendly and honest with you. He takes the time explaining things and answers any questions I may have in terms I can understand. Even when I come in just for a cleaning he always makes sure to come in and say Hi with his warm smile. Over ten years ago I got bonding with Dr. Caputo to fill in some of my gaps and chips on my teeth and at the time I didn't want to get braces lol. They looked great, obviously, but with bonding they wear and tear over the years so you have to up keep them. Caputo kept encouraging me to get crowns on my front teeth for years, because they very seldom chip or stain, but I was always nervous with the procedure. I just recently pulled the plug and went ahead and got crowns to my top front teeth and OMMMMMGGG so happpy I did !!! He told me once I got them I would kick myself for not going it sooner, boy was he right! They look ammmmazing! I couldn't be happier!! The procedure wasn't bad at all. Caputo and his assistant Marty sat down with me and showed me different shades and styles. He told me to bring in a bunch of pictures of teeth I liked and didn't like and he created AND MADE HIMSELF the perfect set. I loved that he involved me on what I like and what his professional experience thinks would be good for me. He assured me that if I didn't like them, or the shade he would make more until I'm happy with it. Of coarse, he nailed it the first time. I honestly couldn't be happier, and believe me I can be sort of a perfectionist when it comes to my looks, he knew that, and they can't out perfect. I know making the decision to get crowns can be scary if you do your research on how it's done. It literally took be yearrrrrrs to go through it. Honestly the whole procedure was not bad at all and he was there for me the whole time. If you're looking to get a new set of teeth, Dr. Caputo is your guy!!!!! the worse so called dentist in the world he will take you into a room/ convince you , that you need several root canals....(the most lucritive lie in dentistry and permanent destruction of your health) --- he will get payment up front, then, leave his untrained assistants to fuddle over you, leave your open cavities and even if it's got mercury, "leave it open" send you home to .......?? let the poisons leak out for 3 weeks?? when you get back, you'll rarely see him, again, his assistants fuddling over you, trying to "learn" how to do dentistry........ and your health is destroyed.......permenantly, as mine is. now, years later, after years of living in meds and not connecting the dots as to why a "once healthy thriving person" is going blind and being made disabled............for no reason i've learned it's all about "root canal poison".and the lie of root canals over the years in dentistry. they are 100% bad news and never should have been done on humans.........."ever" . see the book "healing is voltage" by dr jerry tennant. dr. caputo stole $5000, and put me thru holy hell in 2015., with his untrained assistants......and avoided responsibility to this day. every word here is truth, so there is no "slander". i am now losing 7 teeth.......and 4 are directly because of this piece of trash mr. caputo. he shoudl be banned from dentistry and put in prison. he is evil, a liar, a horrid dentist and now you reading this..... Dr. Caputo has been my dentist my entire life. I had an extraction done months ago (that went incredibly well) and went in yesterday for my implant to be installed. The staff is amazing; extremely knowledgeable and most of all - The nicest group of people you'll ever meet! My procedure went very smoothly and surprisingly quickly, with ZERO pain. They don't call him "Painless Paul" for nothing!!! I haven't even taken an Advil or Tylenol the day after the procedure! If you're hesitant about these sort of things - don't be! I live in NY but Dr Caputo is my dentist, always thought Dr Caputo was a gentle nice person and a good dentist . I even put a great review for him a couple of years ago calling him a gentle soul. Well I was miserably mistaken. I have bondings on my front teeth and came to learn that it does not hold and has nothing to do which dentist does it. Because it was done by another dentist before, with same results. Today I went to have the bonding repaired , could not go earlier because of Corona virus knowing that next time I have to get crowns. Dr Caputo refused to repair the bonding because he said I need caps. I told him I am aware of it, but am leaving for NY in a few days, don't have time for crowns I just need the chipped bonding to be repaired till I am able to get crowns . I told him that I know it does not last a long time and will not be blaming him, and of course will pay for his time. I just needed a quick temporary fix in this crazy Corona virus time ,till I can get crowns . I need 4 crowns about $7,000 . But Dr Caputo rudely refused to help me and repair the bonding, in another words he kicked me out of the his office. I guess there is another not so pleasant side to Dr Caputo, I was speechless, shocked and felt disrespected and insulted. Extremely disappointed. read more

Recently .. needed some dental work due to a broken tooth and and gum problems.. After a very poor experience of a dental consutlataion & a teeth cleaning at anotherlocal dentist office in the area...the dentist was rude and the teet cleanning was terrible.. after talking to my neighbor,they recommended Dr.Caputio... I made an appointment for a dental consulation... Dr. Caputo was professional,friendly and informative,i liked him,right off! He developed a dental plan,with several options,and pricing,and i made a choice on the best dental plan for me! i must admit i was extreemly nervous upon arriving the day of my procedure,but i was pleasently suprised ..everything went off without a hitch..& the best part was..absolutley "NO" pain! folks..thats "ZERO" pain! i had sedation dentistry,and i recommend it to everyone! Dr.Caputo was extreemly delicate with my surgery! He did a great job! Thank God I found Dr. Caputo. I have had some terrible experiences with Florida dentists and was going to throw in the towel. I went to Dr. Caputo for dental implants. I don't think there is a more experienced dental implant dentist in the Tampa Bay Area. He is very friendly but, more importantly, HE KNOWS WHAT HE IS DOING!! He was able to re-do a failed bone graft performed by a lousy dentist I had gone to in an emergency situation and he is painless!! I would NEVER go to another dentist for dental implants. BEWARE...there are plenty of dentists that claim to be able to do implants but you are taking your chances. Believe me, the hack dentist I saw before Dr. Caputo offered to do my implants and I'm so glad I didn't let her, especially since her poor bone grafting work had to be scraped out and done all over again. Dr. Caputo does so many of these procedures a year that I'm sure there isn't anything he hasn't seen at this point. read more
