(August 2026) Horrible Dentist office which is only focused on making money. Previously Dr Doerner and now Aspire Dental which apparently use the same business practice and records. Had two visits for cleanings which should have been covered by insurance. Each time I was told everything would be covered after I paid my copay. Then a short time later, I received a bill saying I owed them more money because a deep cleaning was more expensive., (up charge not discussed) The first visit was 2024, When I questioned the office staff I was told "oh that is just the corporate office who does our billing". I was told, "don't worry about the charge, we will handle it as the charge does not look accurate". I received two additional bills in the mail and when I went in person to question this charge, I was told by a different receptions that I did owe the money to them and was required to pay it, I reluctantly paid. The second visit was in (2025). I went in for a cleaning and the same thing happened, when I went to pay my bill, I was charged more than what was quoted and covered by my insurance. I again reluctantly paid what they said I owed, and decided that I would never use this office again due to the shady way they up charge and bill their customers. I do not normally write reviews But..... Now in 2026 I received a bill in the mail saying I owed them money for the above described procedures that I reluctantly paid in their office!!! I am not being billed by Dr Doerner but now Aspire Dental. It is hard to fathom that I am being requested to pay a bill that is supposedly over two yeas old, and paid in person in the office. And the real kicker is I have bank transactions from my bank account showing these payments were made for the exact amount they are trying to bill me for in 2026. The Wonderfull part was when I tried to call no one answered and was requested to leave a message so they could call me at their convince. Still haven heard from them. Upon reading reviews of this office, both previous Dentist, and now the current Aspire, I see quite a few complaints similar to mine. It appears they have a new name but the same business model and scams. Absolutely horrible business practice, with upcharging, and non existent customer service. Avoid this place at all costs no matter what name is on the sign out front. read more

This is no longer Dr. Doerners office. I found out that it was bought out by a corporate. I went to the father Tim dorner and then his son and I found the real Dr. Aaron Doerner is not here at countryside but on sunset point rd! It's his own family practice now which is so nice! I arrived at my appointment on time and stood there for over 5 minutes before I heard someone in the back. A few "HELLOs" and someone finally greeted me. Apparently my hygienist wasn't coming in and they had to reschedule me. After that experience I called my friend that I knew also went there. My family and I have been patients of Dr. Aaron Doerner for several years. All of us including me,, a 78 grandmother, , my daughter and her 21, 19 and 16 year-old children hav been terrified of dentists in the past.. Going to Dr. Doerner has changed our perception of the dental process. He is compassionate, kind and skilled. We've been through extractions, root canals, bridges, as well as preventative care. Dr. Doerner and. His staff have made this process painless , comfortable ,and we no longer run away from dentists' offices in terror. His entire office is friendly, helpful , and compassionate- especially Tami.And Hailey, the assistant, was exceedingly kind and attentive. And, Dr. Doerner is available for emergencies to his oh patients and give access to his cell! I strongly recommend Dr. Aaron Doerner for your dental care. Staff doesn't return voicemails. I was in pain, couldn't chew, and they don't care that I called 9 times. They sent my crown to the wrong lab and delayed the procedure by over the month. Your health is their last priority. They give discounts for 5-star reviews. They charged me $80 to spray some special mouthwash. They are so horrible they had to change their business name from Doerner Dental to Aspire Dental. Trust me, you will regret doing business here. read more

After reading the good reviews, I decided to try this dental office. I rarely write reviews but I felt this necessary. The front desk receptionist was super pleasant. On my first visit, I had X-rays, met the dentist, everything was great. Upon return for my cleaning, my experience changed. Again, I was super welcomed by the front desk. The dental hygienist, however, was pushy and felt it necessary to lecture me on how I hadn't been for a dental cleaning in too long. I felt like I was a kid being punished for being late for school. This is NOT how you treat adults. It was clear that this hygienist was working for production to meet her sales goals, and not necessarily in the interest of your teeth or meeting your individual needs. Life is stressful enough, the last thing you need is some lady lecturing you about your teeth. I'm only giving this practice two stars because the front desk was SO friendly and welcoming, both when she checked me in and did my X-rays. If it wasn't for her, I would give the practice a one star. read more

I also had a problem with money issues, my insurance covered a crown I had replaced and I was charged 195.00 upon leaving my visit, my husband paid without getting the estimate or reciept, then I found out our insurnace covered everything and it took almost 6 months to get my money back. I was told their billing was looking into it, finally said a check would be sent out it was for 114.00 I questioned where the rest was, the check never came I continued to call always with the same excuse billing was looking into iT, I was told they never got the EOB I took a copy up with the receipt and insurance papers, then Jill said it would be charged back to my credit card this was after I had been told it was already sent in a check. I finally got a check for 114.00 went to the office and collected the other 80 in cash. A shame because I really liked them, very polite always smiling and the dentist was very nice. I had Nitrous oxide, which come to find out the tank was empty, when I mentioned I did not feel anything from the effect it wasn't until she went to take the mask off and move the tank, she stated it was empty. The dentist said right then I would not be charged. It was on the bill anyway. I had problems with the crown, he could not get it to fit right and then stated it might be the tooth next to it and wanted to send me next door to the endodontist to have a second opinion, He was over 400.00. I went to another dentist they told me the tooth was good, pushed the crown up so I did not have anymore sensitivity and so far everything is good again~ read more

These people are crooks! Beware. They gave me an estimate which I had some minor work done and my insurance covered it all. Then I get a bill for about $60+ dollars so I asked what was the bill for. They said the insurance doesn't cover white fillings. Is this their first time filling a tooth that they don't know this? So I paid. Then months later, I get a text on my phone for another bill of about $69. with no explanation or description so I ignored it, as this is not legal. A few months later, another text for about $90. ignored again. Now I get a year and 1/2 later a collection notice threatening 3rd party collection for $209. with no explanation of what it is for. Mind you, the insurance paid the whole bill. I guess if they want to pursue this, I look forward to them explaining this to a judge because I'd be a fool to pay it. read more

The best family dental office I've ever experienced! I've had a complete crown removal and replacement done with Dr Doerner. I also have a partial because of low bone density. Quick lab work and fine tuning by Dr D gave me a million dollar smile (I'm in front of the camera). Highly recommend! read more

I had to switch my dentist due to a new dental plan. I absolutely despise trying to find a new dentist as it's been my experience you can end up at places that try to upsell you on dental care you don't need or essentially claim your teeth are going to rot out of your mouth. Nicole at the front desk was a joy to work with. Both my son and I saw Sonia the dental hygienist. I've been searching for the last few years since my dentist retired for a fantastic dental hygienist. I would literally give her a 10. Her attention to detail was fantastic. My mother spent 4 months and $4000.00 on a really terrible partial at another dentist. Dr Doerner gave her a beautiful smile in less than 2 weeks fixing the mess from the previous place. He was so kind to her! I think we just found our new forever dentist! read more

Dr. Doerner has been my dentist for many years. His office is centrally located and the staff are great. They are always friendly and caring. Every time I have an appointment here, I rarely wait for more than 5 - 10 minutes in the lobby, which is practically a miracle for any medical or dental office. The same girls have worked here for years and the same hygienist always does my cleanings and it's nice to see that consistency. I've been satisfied with every procedure I had done here and have no complaints. One thing that would be nice would be if they stayed open a little later during the week or offered some saturday hours, but I will still continue coming here regardless of the hours. read more

After a few years I still recommend this dentist. I have been to dentists all over the country, had better dental experiences, had worse, but I will continue to go back to this office because of these reasons: the reception area is warm and inviting and clean. The business smells clean unlike many other places that use plug in air fresheners to cover Lord only knows what odor. The entire place is modern and you don't feel like it's old and dingy and in need of a good cleaning, painting or some updating. When someone is literally putting their fingers in my mouth, I don't want to think of all the decades old and dingy things they touched before they do that. Another reason is because I got dental work done here AND had a problem with the dental work one year later and they made it right. Finding a dentist in the Clearwater area is very difficult, but this is a modern dentist's office and I'll keep going here because I trust them more than going to an old school dentist's office. read more
