I never knew how divisive magic could be until we mentioned to our friends that we were interviewing magicians. There was a lot of skepticism ("Isn't magic kind of cheesy?", "Will he wear a top hat and cape?"), but on the day of, our guests were stunned in the best of ways. Nothing brought me more joy than to hear the "OH MY GOD!" and "OOHH's" from across the room throughout the nearly 2 hour performance throughout the crowd.
