As we entered the store we were greeted by Rae. We explained what we were looking for and she took us around and showed us several couches. We eliminated several for a variety of reasons. My wife found a couple and we were trying them out. Rae explained the difference to us and was able to answer our questions, which means she is knowledgeable with her products. We settled on one, got a very good price (Presidents Day Sale.) I was surprised when she said it would be delivered the next Saturday. On Saturday we were give a 2 hour window and the delivery people (William and Frank) showed up right in the middle of our 2 hour window. They removed the couch that was there and brought in the other couch. They were very careful on both ends. We chatted and kid with them and they were both a lot of fun and pleasant as well. They rounded up a great experience and I wouldn't hesitate to deal with Rai again and hope William and Frank make the delivery if we order things again. read more

Today 06/24/2021 My family & I walked into Furniture Country and we were immediately greated by Darius a very nice young man who we give 5 stars. We were looking for a bedroom set and bar stools but we stumbled across some area rugs we were told there were 3 in stock of the one we liked which was marked down from $169 to $99 and in fact Darius asked us if we wanted all 3? we said no just 2 but did you have any other choices? Darius took us onto the sales floor where they had the exact same area rug in a smaller size for $199 with 30% off which would be $139. We wanted to speak to the manager about this and he or she would not come over to speak with us, but whenever Darius went to ask the manager a question they provided him with an answer, but refused to come speak with us. So we told Darius no problem we will take 2 of the bigger area rugs we like for $99 the manager sent Darius over and they said because the other rugs were newer even though they were same make, size, model they would be $139. The lazy manager never came to speak to us so we purchased nothing. But we did find 3 great Ashley swivel bar stools for $300 at furniture king. We were looking for a bedroom and stools but rest assured we will never shop or recommend Furniture Country to anyone. That is one lazy manager terrible business practices. read more

In need of new living room furniture, my wife and I visited a number of the local furniture stores. Most had a limited inventory but said they could order much more. Some seemed overly anxious to sell whatever they had. Then we visited Furniture Country and met the General Manager, John Hammonds. He was gracious and low-key. He showed us his large inventory. When we found an item that looked perfect, I mentioned that we should take measurements to see if it would fit our situation. John said he refused to sell it unless we were sure. We returned the next day and purchased the item. It perfectly fits our situation. Furniture Country will be our default furniture store in the future. read more

Of the three furniture stores on this corner, This one is the best. Nicest showroom with a little cafe. The sales people that were attentive (perhaps a tiny bit too attentive), and a great selection of contemporary furniture. I honestly expected them to be the priciest, but they actually had some good values and were in line with pricing at either place next door. That said, they did have some more upscale stuff that was pricier, but the quality and design were superior as well. A place I'd shop again. read more

They have a large selection of nice, high quality furniture and their package deals are also almost too good to be true. All of their employees were extremely helpful and friendly. We bought a bunk bed for our kids and it broke last week... I called furniture country and spoke to Katherine and she was super nice. She explained everything to me and reassured me it would fixed fast... went through the steps and had someone here within two days.... It was my first time shopping in Furniture Country since 2008. Under the current management and sales approach, I could tell that high quality customer service is a priority. The sales rep was cordial and knowledgeable about the item I wanted. Management was present in the sales area, took the time to introduce themselves and asked if I was being well taken care of. After demonstrating a couple products and contacting the supplier to help answer my questions, management and sales rep completed the sale. I was given a fair price for a top quality lift chair. This 5 star review was also for the unexpected call from management to ensure my mother in law was happy with the chair. Randy and Furniture Country put their staff and customers first. read more

This is the new Furniture Country store near the new Lowe's. They store is very nice and showcases mainly Lane furniture, although you can always drop by the other Furniture Country store a little further up the road for a larger selection of Broyhill items. They have a wide variety of nice furniture, however the prices are higher as they have higher end furniture. The new store also features a little cafe area with a soda fountain, a cappucinno machine, popcorn, cookies, etc. YUM! and makes your whole furniture shopping experience just that much better. read more

We have done business with Furniture Country for about 15 years. The manager, John Hammonds, has been our preferred representative there since even before he was the manager. We have nearly always been able to find exactly what we wanted there and John always spends a lot of time making sure we are satisfied. When a sofa we bought was not holding up, he got it inspected by the manufacturer and ultimately had it replaced. When that one also began to break down too soon he gave us credit for it and let us pick out a more expensive/better brand, reducing the cost. Furniture Country staff is always welcoming and friendly. John is very knowledgeable about all types and brands of furniture. He is honest and helpful, so he will always be our preferred salesman. This store is easy to walk around and the furniture is displayed in an easy-to see manner (other stores jam too much furniture into a small space). We have visited every furniture store in Gainesville, and this one is by far the best one to do business with. read more

Although this place looks pricey, they had the best deal in town - I got a European pillowtop Queen + base for $299. I paid a small deposit & had to wait a couple of weeks for delivery which was $30 - cash on delivery which suited me fine. My friend & I picked up a beautiful metal headboard from JC Penneys that morning & the delivery guys from Broyhill arrived at the perfect time to set it all up, even helped us unpack & put on the headboard so it was properly in place - very helpful & easy to deal with. The worst furniture store we have ever dealt with! We chose them due to some good reviews and the fact that they told us about being able to order a custom sectional. We ordered our furniture and ended up having to go back four times because after ordering each time they would call back later saying that they couldn't get it the way we ordered, even though they said we could when we at the store. Finally the manager Joan decided to "take care of us" and wanted to make it right. She came up with certain terms because she said she did't want to lose our business. We decided to go ahead with the order because of the promises, we ordered the $4000 sectional and three weeks later, she called saying they are not going to honor the terms that were agreed upon. Three weeks later, and she is the one that offered them in order to keep our budiness! Not a good way to try and keep someone's business after they messed up multiple times. We had only ordered the furniture because of the terms THEY came up with and promised. The worst furniture company! read more

We bought a living room set from here a few months ago. The sales associate Greg was very professional and nice. He helped us pick out an amazing set. It took about 3 weeks to get it delivered minus the TV stand which was on back order. The delivery man Cornelius was also very nice and professional. He made sure everything was in working order and where we wanted it before he left. He apologized for not having the TV stand and called to office to see when it would be in. It was still in back order. About 6 weeks later the piece was still on back order. We came into the store and the manager John was also very personable and professional. He made it right for us. He had a similar piece in the store room and had the guys put it together and we finally had our set together. All and all it was a fair and honest place.
