BUYER BEWARE!! Frank made repairs to our leather sofa and loveseat which had several worn spots. A couple weeks later the repair showed signs of failing so we contacted Frank to come back out and take a look. He did the repair again as it was still under warranty. I was concerned that the repair would fail again but he assured me that it would be fine. Again within 2-3 weeks the repair failed and the finish was coming off. I had a little trouble getting in touch with him because he wasn't answering his phone or responding to texts. He finally got back with me and said he had a new product that he would try. During the third attempt at repairing our furniture, Frank mentioned that he may have to refund my money in the event that the repair failed again. At this point he seemed like a reputable guy especially the fact that he brought up the potential refund. Needless to say, the repair failed a third time so I attempted to contact Frank and got no response. I called and left numerous messages and texts over the course of about a month and got NO RESPONSE!! I tried to contact him with other phones because he screens his calls for obvious reasons, no answer or return call. It was evident at this point that he had ghosted me and was dodging me because he knew he was going to be asked to honor his warranty. Seemed like a nice guy but in the end he turned out to be dishonest contractor only interested in getting paid with no sense of responsibility in doing the right thing. I reported him to the Better Business Bureau and they made several attempts at contacting him but he never responded, big surprise lol. Hind sight is 20/20 and looking back, the fact that he only communicates by cell phone and screens his calls is a huge red flag!! I appreciated that he came out to our house to give us an estimate in person, after first asking me to send photos. The other company I called provided an estimate by photos only. When Frank examined our sectional, he pointed out other areas where, because the protective coating of the leather had worn off, the color was rubbing off. He also pointed out a really disgusting area of scalp oil that had accumulated on one of the back cushions. His estimate was high, but we spent a lot on our several year old Ladlow's sectional and I wanted to bring it back as close to new as possible. He has this amazing toolbox of colors and airbrush and other tools and he was very careful and skilled. We also had him restuff all the cushions, which made a big difference in the shape. I have a light colored leather sectional in my den and unfortunately a large area on one arm was damaged. The top layer was literally "picked off". I wasn't at all certain it could be repaired but after many texts and pictures back and forth Frank assured me I would be happy. And was I ever! You cannot see where the repair was done. He very carefully mixed the correct color to redye the damaged area and then resealed it. He then cleaned and conditioned the entire sectional. Frank is an artist. If you want to throw away your money , hire Frank Olivas . We hired him to refill our worn sectional cushions and seat backs . Instead of removing the old materials , he merely added 1" of new material on top of the old . Yes it improved the shape of the seats , but for how long ? There was significant staining in the leather from body oils , etc over a long period of use . I didn't expect it to look new after treatment , but I did expect some improvement . There was none whatsoever . He conditioned the leather after "cleaning" it , and I will give him credit for doing that part acceptably . But the entire project cost $700.00 - WAAAAAAAY over priced in my judgement , and he has not replied at all to my emails about my dissatisfaction.
