I would give this store an absolute Zero if I could but if I have to give them 1 star it is undeserved. We bought a recliner this past Friday and paid in full for it. I called this morning and the gal said it would be all plastic wrapped and ready to go. Once we got to the store the chair was no where to be found. The owner said it showed 8 in stock and they had zero. I made a statement to him that as an owner not knowing his inventory, it looked to me he did not no his ass from his elbow. He told me to remove myself from His store immediately. I laughed at him and told him I was not going anywhere until our refund was processed. He told me if I did not leave the showroom floor he was going to call the police. He went in to his office and never came back out. I have bought from Wesley and this store since they were on west main street in Spartanburg...so that would be over 30 years ago. Those of you with negative ratings must have had a bad day. I have half a household of their furniture...all solid wood and never veneers. Their furniture comes from the best manufacturers in North Carolina...never Chinese. I have a bedroom suite (pineapple post) with a matching dining table and chairs. A formal dining room suite with china cabinet and matching buffet. Anywhere else the bedroom suite alone would be $7,000 plus and the dining room suite at least that much and maybe more anywhere else. I got great bargains out of just those two rooms...all solid wood furniture. I challenge anyone to beat their prices for the quality they sell...want real bargains...shop when they have a tent sale and save even more. read more

This business advertises on local TV all the time and seemed legit. After a phone call, I decided to visit. First off, be forewarned this business is in the middle of nowhere. Second, they advertise that they have 3 showrooms of furniture. But they are small showrooms, (the 3rd is mostly junk) with not much to chose from. I came in looking for a chair. I found one that I liked. However, they said they sell things as a set. I do not need a sofa, chair and ottoman. When I asked if I could buy just a chair, they said "SORRY, NO". I asked if it could be ordered and they said it would probably take at least 6 months. I asked if I could just buy the chair and ottoman. "SORRY, NO". I found a loveseat that would work. But I would have to buy the set. SORRY, NO. This is the only store that I have ever visited that insists that you need to buy an entire set. Don't waste your time visiting this store. Unless you like wasting your time and hearing SORRY, NO. read more

Not happy with the results after picking out a sofa. They had told me there was one in stock so I had a friend drive over with a truck so as not the pay the $125.00 delivery fee. Well guess what, they couldn't find it in their disorganize warehouse. Got a refund and called the next day to see if it was located. They offered me the floor sample but wouldn't give me a break on the delivery charge. OK how about a break on the price of the sofa for my inconvenience? Nope. read more

Found a beautiful leather couch, chair and ottoman. Paid for it on layaway. We were told there was one more set in the warehouse, other than the one we saw on the showroom floor. The items were paid in full in March. We closed on a new house on May 20th. The day before we close they call and say they don't have our furniture!!!! How does that happen?? Where did it go?? Did someone steal it out of your warehouse; or did you sell it to someone else??? They acted like they were doing us a favor by returning our money; as if that makes us whole. Now we have to start the process all over again, and we still don't have any furniture. I can not believe this company stays in business. They pulled a bait and switch on us. They have a nice selection of traditional furnishings in three showrooms out in the countryside of Lyman. Salesman was nice and let us browse. Compared with what we have seen elsewhere, the prices are good. Not sure of the quality as I did not recognize most of the manufacturers. Worth the drive if you're looking for leather furniture, with one showroom dedicated to theatre chairs, sofas, etc. Unfortunately we didn't find what we were looking for, so the search continues. read more

On our first visit to the showroom, we weren't quite sure what we wanted to buy since we had just started shopping for living room furniture. The sales manager Anna, showed us around and answered many questions about various sets we were interested in...she even helped us with measurements. All this help and we never felt pressured to purchase right away. She understood the importance in finding the set that was perfect for our home . We were invited to come back anytime to look again. Honestly, we looked at a lot of other furniture stores and never found anything we were just totally in love with so we decided to go back to the showroom. Second time was a charm! They had just gotten in a new shipment of furniture and we found the perfect set. I'm so happy we decided to go back. We got a wonderful deal on our furniture that blew the competition away! On top of that, Wesley found out we rescued animals and gave me the most beautiful picture of a dog I have ever seen. Made me cry happy tears. I would recommend Furniture Warehouse Showroom to everyone! The selection of furniture is great and of high quality... and prices...are better than any of their competitors. I bought 1900 dollars worth of living room furniture from these folks, It was defective cloth, stained coach, and a coffee table I ended up putting a new top on. I wanted to buy a little table a few weeks later and they would not budge 5 bucks on the price. I believe in investing in local companies but I WILL NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY AGAIN. read more

Bought a buffet. It is great quality and the right price.

We purchased a natural living mattress 3 years ago paid 1200 for it and the brother talked us onto this mattress because he had one and it had a 20 year warranty on it. Now the mattress is very uncomfortable and you can see indents where we sleep. We called and talked the the brother that sold us this mattress and he said if we replaced every bad mattress we sold we would be broke. Well what are they doing selling bad mattresses !!!!!! The customer service was terrible and no one wanted to tell us that the company had filed bankruptcy we found out by looking it up online. We then called back and talked to Wesley and he said there is nothing he can do for us. Terrible customer service. Would never buy another pice of furniture from them. Went to look for some furniture today. They were having a tent sale and found a coffee table we liked the sign on the table said coffee table $99 and matching end tables & $99. Ask the guy if they had anymore and he said they did but we would need to go to the main building. So we walked in and a girl asked if we needed some help told her what we were looking for. Before we knew it this man sitting there in a "nasty" attitude said he had them in a set for $599. I explained to him that the guy had sent us in to look at the matching end table that was on sale in the tent. He basically called me a liar. So we turned around and the guy asked if we saw it. I told him what happened and by that time he got a call to mark out the end tables on the sign. To be such "Christian " people and to act that way turns people off. We had been in there before and had "comments " about our Clemson attire. They are coots over there so we will take our business elsewhere from now on. read more
