I can't believe I haven't written a review yet. I started going here a few years ago when she was a bit newer to the area, and after going to the other groomer in town. My dogs were elderly, they were mostly blind and deaf, and were screamers with the scissors around their eyes. The other grooming shop didn't want to take them because they had an elderly dog die on them in the past and didn't want me to sue. They told me that my dogs were having seizures while they were being groomed and wouldn't be alive more than a month. That didn't sound right at all, so I decided to look for a new groomer on Yelp. Tried getting a mobile groomer but she was packed. Adelle called me, got me in right away, OFFERED to let me stay with my boys and hold them during the process. And she only has one client at a time in her shop which was HUGE for my boys. My dogs have since passed at ages 17.5 and 18.5. The other groomer in town was WRONG about them dying in a month. They lived another 3 years. The reviews about Adelle being scared is absolutely nonsense. She is a pack alpha and the dogs know it when they come in. She is loving and gentle, and knowledgeable, and respects them as the gentle and scared souls that they are. I've seen her with my dogs and other dogs and she treats them good. She's amazing with hard-to-groom dogs and was a HUGE blessing in our lives, as I had no other option left and she stepped up. My boys were frail and old and not easy to groom. I actually had felt alone in the process of watching them aging, and health declining, and i felt like Adelle was with me in the process and of understanding it more than anyone in my life... probably because she was up and personal with them so often. She's a blessing and there's a reason why she's so difficult to get into--word of mouth keeps her busy. read more

We do a lot of traveling, so our Maltese is often seeing a new groomer. This can be a nerve rattling task, never quite knowing how things are going to go. Thank goodness for Yelp and the like! Furr-Nley's stellar reviews do not lie. This woman is top shelf and she's got "the gift" when it comes to the dogs. Our PJ took to her immediately and the finished service was the best I've had west of the Mississippi. She was scared and hid her head in fear. Two days later $188 vet visit for ear meds. Never again. I'll take her to Reno before stepping back in there. read more

The service was kind and the quality of the cut/wash for girls was okay. They both still had a lot of under coat that wasn't worked through and needed a second go round. Pretty pricy for having to still do a lot of work to get the under coats cleaned up. read more

This woman is not very erhical, I take my dog to a different groomer in town, this woman saw me in a Walmart with my dog and asked me who groomed my dog and I told her. She said I will give you 20% cheaper if you come to me. I understand you're in business but it's not much class to try and poach another businesses client like that, Especially when I said I was happy with the groomer that I have just my opinion. read more

I love how she encouraged me to stay there the entire time to help ease Norah's nerves and that she only works on one pet at a time! The first time I went here I had an amazing experience and learned so much about poodles. I made another appointment and unfortunately could not make it. Per their policy of you cancel you have to pay half before she will see your dog again, also not a problem. The second time I made an appointment, I was babysitting my parents dog who needed to be groomed. I used their online system to make an appointment and also paid for the whole thing upfront prior to going. I talked to my husband and we had a scheduling conflict so I called back immediately the same day within 2 hours of making the appointment and asked for a refund. I could not reschedule because I was only dog sitting for two weeks and there was not another appointment available within the two week time frame. Here is the issue I had, I go to make a third appointment for my dog and instead I get a long, very rude, condenscending lecture about how I inconvenienced her, I asked for refund ( which I did not know was a problem at the time), she has other dogs to groom, she goes on and on and on. I finally just interrupted and told her I will just take my dog somewhere else. The lecture was so unnecessary a simple, "pay me in full and no refund will be allowed because of previous history with appointments" or a simple " no I don't want to groom your dog" would have been enough. But to go on and on and be so mean about it was SOOOO unnecessary. Side note: The three appointments were made over a 5 months period. read more

I had been going to a groomer in Fernley for at least 12 years to have my cats groomed. When my beloved groomer passed away earlier this year, her daughter was going to take over the business. However, I didn't feel right asking the daughter when she was going to start working so soon after her mother's death. For the health of my cats (hairballs and such), I needed to find another groomer ASAP on what I thought would be a temporary basis. My friend who gets her dogs groomed at Furr-Nley's Pet Spa said she was very happy with how Adele the owner treats her dogs, how her dogs look after being groomed and the condition of the shop. When I called Adele, she gave her condolences regarding my groomer passing away and was very sympathetic. Adele took quite a bit of time to ask me questions about my cats and how I liked them cut etc. I've taken 2 of my cats to Adele and she welcomed me to stay through the whole grooming process to see how she treats our pets. She is very professional and patient with our cats. When they get upset, she stops the grooming process and comforts my animals. She allows me to hold and reassure my cats while she's working on them. Adele works long and hard to get the cut even and welcomes my input. She's professional and embraces technology like having online booking capabilities, ability to pay with credit card (some small businesses in this town don't have those services), text appointment confirmations and reminders as well as Square pay with electronic receipts. Since our first visit to Furr-Nley's Pet Spa a few months ago, Adele has become our permanent groomer. She's always sweet and accommodating when I call for an appointment. Being able to stay through the appointments and see what grooming my cats entails has taught me a lot and given me a new perspective on how difficult grooming animals can be. However, Adele is a seasoned pro and nothing seems to put her off her game. read more

Erica was very nice and welcoming. The price was affordable and my dogs looked amazing when they left. They smelled good too. Erica used a special shampoo for my dachshund due to him having longer hair. His coat shines. Their nails were cut really short which I appreciated and they were finished in a reasonable time. Cut was good but man did it smell like cigarettes inside! Although i have no problem with smokers i think it should be something that stays outside and it is so strong in there almost like they do it inside. Wont be taking my dog back because of this unfortunately. read more

Had a horrific experience with this business and would never recommend them to anyone. It's too long of a story to type out all the details but it's unbelievable to the extent and the lengths she went to bad mouth my family around town. She actually went across the street to the other groomer and told her not to accept our business. BTW that place is much, much better. No drama, it's cheaper and my dog looks 10x better than pet spa. Never thought I'd have to write a bad review and stand up for my families dignity getting my dog groomed, but here we are! Now I'm spending my weekend typing a complaint to warn others of a the awful experience getting your dog groomed. It's almost laughable it's so ridiculous. Other complaints from friends are that she's scared of dogs and will make you stay there while you hold your dog while she cuts them. Who'd want to stay while you get your dog groomed or nails cut? That's the whole point, otherwise everyone would just do it themselves. I'd go across the street to save some money, have a better looking dog and talk to someone who isn't going to run around town trying to blacklist you and lie behind your back to other businesses.
