They said he did fine coming out of the anesthesia. My husband got home and the dog was panting. We chalked it up to the dog may have had some anesthesia in his system. He was this way all night. We took him back on Friday and he was in the same condition with a temperature of 106. Our Newfie was there for a few hours and then sent home on Friday. On Saturday we had to rush him to the emergency vet and he had to be put down because he was much worse. THE DOG NEVER SHOULD HAVE BEEN RELEASED TO US WITH HOW BAD HIS BREATHING WAS. HE SHOULD HAVE BEEN REFERRED TO AN OVERNIGHT VET HOSPITAL ON THURSDAY! When he was taken in, based on the notes, he was given oxygen and was breathing more normally. This did not last. After consulting others, we are being told that something definitely went wrong with the anesthesia. We should have been told that our dog needed to be admitted overnight to an emergency vet for over night monitoring instead of being released to us. IF THIS WOULD HAVE HAPPENED, OUR DOG MIGHT STILL BE WITH US!

Wait times during appointments could also get long, but it's understandable with a smaller hospital like theirs. I knew they always had my baby's best interest at heart and provided the best care for him they could, which makes up for any delays we experienced. They gave me a lovely card and nose and paw prints after we had to say goodbye to my little boy. I will always remember their kindness during that time and recommend bringing your babies here, too.

My regular vet recommended either euthanasia or a $10K orthopedic surgery after my dog broke 5 bones in his paw from jumping off a bed. In desperation, I phoned Options Vet, where intake staff said a veterinarian surgeon was on duty that day (Dr. Lingenfelder) and thought he might be able to help my dog. He over saw treatment of my dog for 8 weeks, keeping his paw in a splint and taking periodic X-rays to monitor the bones healing process. My little dog (chihuahua) fully recovered...He now runs around like the injury never happened. I am eternally grateful for the wonderful people who provided care & compassion for my senior dog and his senior owner (me!)

This review reflects an entirely different experience under their current operation. My family has two golden retrievers -- Koda (1.5 years) and Howie (6.5 years) -- and we have experienced repeated scheduling failures over the past several months, including confirmed appointments being rejected after the fact. Today was the final straw. I drove to the clinic, brought my dog in for pre-operative blood work ahead of a scheduled neutering next week, waited while they took him back -- and then was told in person that they don't have enough staff scheduled for his surgery date. No phone call. No message. No heads up of any kind. Just: come in, wait, and oh by the way, we don't know when we can reschedule you. That is completely unacceptable. This information was known before my appointment. A 30-second phone call would have saved the trip, the wait, and the stress on my dog. Instead, the burden was placed entirely on us to show up and find out in person. This is a pattern with this practice since their previous veterinarians left. We have been rejected for scheduled appointments multiple times across both dogs. The communication failures are consistent and the operational instability is real. We are done. Both dogs are moving to a new provider effective today. I genuinely hope they can turn things around, but I cannot in good conscience recommend Sage Veterinary Care in their current state and for the safety of our dogs.

Ben suffered a serious neurological event and declined rapidly over several days. Through every step of that journey, Dr. Vasquez was extraordinary. She was responsive, compassionate, and thorough -- answering our emails, ordering bloodwork, coming out a couple of times and keeping us informed and supported as we navigated impossible decisions. When it became clear that Ben was suffering and it was time to let him go, Dr. Vasquez went out of her way to come to our home on short notice so that our boy could pass peacefully in familiar surroundings rather than in an emergency clinic. Last year we lost one of our best friends, Charlotte. She was our 17 year old rescue lab that…read morestarted having seizures. Our loss was so great, both my wife and I were never going to get another K9. Our children & grandchildren we're devastated and everything in our home reminded us of Charlotte. We even went as far as to have our entire house, hard wood flooring. It was Easier for Charlotte to move around & clean up was fast/ easy. After Charlottes third long difficult seizure, we had no choice but to put her down. Almost one year without Charlotte, we went to Lyon County animal services in silver springs Nevada. We decided to walk through the kennel and immediately seen a younger German Shepherd named Eva. We were told that Eva was brought into them and viewed a few times by men. We were advised that Eva was not good with adult men, with that said I had to know more about her. I was taken into the viewing room, and Eva followed. Immediately Eva came up to me, a little bit hyper, and just fell in love with me. This K9 looked at me and wanted to say "I want to go home with you". To make this long story a bit shorter, I filled out all the necessary paperwork with my wife, paid our fees and had to wait for a surgery and her shots. To me it seemed like forever waiting for her, I came down three more times from my city and had to see her. I even brought one of my grandchildren down to get to know her. I adopted my Leo(Liam) almost 2 years ago. He had a bite history (from previous owners report),…read more but I was willing to give him a try. He settled right in and has only tried to nip me once, when I startled him. He is my buddy, companion and I love him dearly. While I don't know his history I suspect he was abused. I was told he didn't like men but he loves everyone. He gets so excited when anyone comes to the house men, women, known or strangers. The ladies at LCAS were great and didn't try to hide any info they had about him.
