I don't usually go to any sort of coffeehouse, usually for environmental energy purposes. This place may be my favorite. I really wanted a chai and ordered a regular vanilla chai with white chocolate, and it is absolutely amazing. The environment inside is also amazing as well, very quick and very polite. Fusion Brew was recommended to me by my goddaughter and ISU alum when I was looking for hot chocolate for a marching band. Fusion Brew was SO accommodating. They filled the band's 5 gallon cambros with 12 gallons of delicious hot chocolate. I had to ask for the ingredients for the allergy information and I was pleasantly surprised that there were minimal ingredients. They worked with us to make sure they had staffing to ensure the kids for the hot chocolate--well, hot! I had to drop off the cambros in the afternoon and took advantage of the stop and purchased myself a large blended chai. SO GOOD! It was not too spicy, not too sweet, and the unique blended option was perfect for a hot afternoon, On the flip side, the hot chocolate was perfect for the cool night! Review Visit: June 10th, 2015 Fusion Brew is a fused combination of deliciousness and amazing, in a sealed coffee cup. Reading my other blogs, you may notice I tend to either like or love coffeehouses and this place is no different. In fact, I would even say that this is my favorite coffeehouse. That is purely based on the two visits there, each time getting an Iced Caramel Latte. Unlike a normal coffeehouse where you get your standard lid and straw, this place seals the top of the cup with a thick piece of plastic. That way they can literally mix your drink without spilling it. The straws have a pointed end, so it's no big deal to poke the straw through. This is the only place I have seen do this. It's unique and cool! The great thing about the coffee here is that the flavor is consistent. I came here once in the summer of 2015 and the fall of 2016 and it was the exact same each time. A lot of places can't mix their drinks like Fusion Brew (due to snap-on lids), so as you get near the end of your drink, it gets less sweet and more watered down. Not here. It's delicious from beginning to end. They also offer baked goods that look good, but I have yet to try any. They also have a small food menu? Someone ahead of me ordered a Hummus plate, but I didn't see that on the menu behind the counter. They also specialize in Bubble Tea. Love stopping by fusion brew when school is in session! I visit often for a caffeine pick-me-up in between classes and it's a great place to get some homework/studying done too, or just to socialize with friends. This coffee shop is located right across from Illinois State University in Normal, Illinois. It's one of the quietest shops I've ever been in. The staff at the front was generally friendly and helpful especially when I asked for the WiFi password. One of the huge pluses to this coffee shop is that the prices are reasonable. I paid $4.04 for a large iced coffee with sugar free vanilla syrup, half and half plus three splendas. The coffee itself is bitter but not the worst I've ever tried. It's a bit watered down which is a good thing in this case. They have some neat looking merch but it's pricey just like any other coffee shop. The seating area is teal and gray which is decent. Tables needed cleaning but both employees were busy so they get a pass from me. Overall, it's ok but not high quality. Stopped by Fusion Brew Saturday morning to get some coffee and chat with a girlfriend. It was a little awkward when we arrived. The man standing at the register looked at us and then looked down without saying anything so I wasn't sure if that's where we were supposed to order. Soon enough another employee came over to take our order, so I'm assuming the other employee was in training?? Not a huge deal but a hello or be right with you would make your customers feel much more welcome. To drink, I had the Pumpkin Pie Latte. I was pleased to find that it tasted much different than a Pumpkin Spice Latte. It truly tasted like a pumpkin pie!! What is there to say about Fusion Brew when it's steeped in nostalgia from my college days? For what it's worth, it lives up to my memories. The place: Cheerful and colorful, but not juvenile. Mostly two person tables, so if you're with a larger group, you might be moving furniture around. The location: In a strip mall, so sometimes difficult to find parking in the Itty bitty parking lot, so that can be tricky. The drinks: I love their snows which are a creamy blended drink that you can get in a bunch of flavors and add bobs to if you're feeling it. This past weekend, I got a peach snow and a coconut snow. Both were packed with their relevant flavors and neither tasted ridiculously artifical. The Boba is beautiful. Hubsy liked the taro snow, and you can't really go wrong with taro for flavor and color. Next time: I really want to try a lemon snow because I have no idea what it would taste like. read more

When I was a student at ISU, I probably went to Fusion Brew 100 times! My favorite thing about FuBrew is the variation and vastness of the drink menu! The most popular drink here is the Fusion Milk Tea. It's also my favorite drink. I've tried every flavor of milk tea and each one is unique! You can ask for half sweetness in almost every milk tea (with the exception of their two most popular) if you like it a little less sweet. Try something different and add a texture to your milk tea- it might surprise you how much you like it! I stick with the classic tapioca pearls. I also love their signature chai latte and many of their ice blended drinks (i.e extreme toffee coffee!!!!). You can get many of the drinks in a variety of ways- iced, hot, iced blended. It was my favorite place to study and do homework because the atmosphere is perfect for it. If you're working or studying for hours they have some really delicious snacks- the chicken salad plate and warm cinnamon rolls are my faves. Fubrew clearly loves their customers and the community, and I plan on coming here every time I visit my alma mater! read more

This is the only place in BloNo the fills my boba needs! Fusion Brew features a nice variety of drinks and some of the best boba I've had in the midwest. You can adjust the sweetness level of the drinks but regardless, the tea flavor is strong and is well balanced with the sweetness, which is more than I can say for other places. Their extensive menu has a lot of other stuff too but I've only tried their milk teas. The banana milk tea is divine! I love the chill, relaxed interior. The parking can be suspect at times but you can usually find a spot. The Internet is the only thing that I would say is a negative. I take my wife out every morning for coffee. We were growing quite tired of the Starbucks & DD routine and had discovered Fusion Brew last week. We absolutely loved the flavors and the quality was good, we had actually been ordering 3 cups just for the two of us because we loved everything so much and wanted to try the whole menu. We had decided that FB was going to be our new "spot". Unfortunately today one of the baristas took an unfortunate attitude with me and we decided to take our $12 a day coffee habit somewhere else from now on. I love this place...for me it's just a quick walk from work and locally roasted coffee. I enjoy the freshness of the drinks and the environment. Not snooty and you can get all types of drinks there from just brewed coffee to boba drinks. Boba drinks, though not my favorite, but everyone that does like them, raves about them. They also have lemonades in the summer, freezes, and sometimes some special items like Lavender Tea! They also have muffins, cookies, bagels, treats, and other snack items. For a light lunch, a hummus plate with veggies or chicken salad. I like supporting small businesses and I go back frequently. I love Fusion Brew. My only disclaimer is that I don't like coffee, so I have nothing to say about their quality of coffee and related drinks. However, I've tried nearly every version of bubble tea and slush and snow drinks, and I love them all. The staff here is always friendly, and there is almost always a seat available somewhere. Fusion Brew is the perfect place to stop by and grab a drink, meet with a friend, or study for a few hours. Also, they always have delicious specials. (you need to try the green apple black iced tea with strawberry pop-boba) Update: I still go to Fusion Brew regularly, and I still love it. They now have coffee from Thirty-Thirty in Peoria, which my fiance really, really loves. I have only two complaints when it comes to Fusion Brew: The parking situation is usually difficult to say the least, and the internet is unbearably slow when there are more than 3 people on it. This place is amazing. Better than Starbucks and definitely better than Einstein's. Their drinks are amazing. Their menu is extensive. I've been here several times and there's still several drinks I want to have. The milk tea is unique and great. My favorite coffee is Irish Creme Latté, which is on the menu in March but I ask for it in the offseason, and the iced French mint mocha. There's a second big room with lots of outlets, tables, and chairs to do work. They have comfortable furniture. I can't say enough about this place. I wish I had time to go here more! FuBru is one of my favorite places to hangout with friends, study, and buy great drinks. My friends and I have been coming here for years, and it's seriously one of my favorite things about BloNo. Fusion has a ton of drink options (tea, coffee, snows, etc.), as well as a variety of food options as well (oatmeal, hummus plate, and baked goods). My go-to drinks are their iced coffee, the turtle, and a flavored snow with boba. Lots of seating and free wifi make it a great place to get stuff done as well. If it's bubble tea, it's for me. That's what I'm always saying. Especially if it's lychee and green tea bubble tea with exploding mango boba. It was basically the best tasting bubble tea I've ever had. Same with their spiced chai latte served in a real mug (signifying it's a real-deal coffee shop)- so fantastic. Even on an 80-degree day, it was hard to not keep sippin. I did think the order calling was a bit confusing as they called out the wrong thing and sound doesn't really carry when they're busy, but luckily my partner is good at paying attention and deciphered that our order was up based on other clues. Inside is a tad divier than I thought it was going to be from the outside. I think I was expecting it either to be more modern or more like a cool indie coffee shop like you'd see on TV, but I got a good chuckle out of the couch made out of pallets (which is something I think we've all pinned on Pinterest before), which was kind of a sight for sore eyes but still better than I could've ever made it. A cute coffee and bubble tea shop, which is located in Junction Place next to Gumby's Pizza. I was so excited to find out it was right down the street from my dorm! They serve slushies, snows (A creamier slushie), iced tea, milk teas, hot teas, lattes, coffee, ice-blended coffees, a few pastries and more. You can add boba, mini boba and fruit jellies to a cold drink. As far as food goes, they have soup early in the afternoon and also have a chicken salad and veggie plate. Their hummus and veggie plate is AMAZING and a great value for the low price. SO glad that bubble tea is available in Bloomington-Normal! Favorites: frosted cinnamon bun with boba...Thai iced tea with boba...strawberry peach snow with mango jelly. Free wi-fi, just ask for the password. If I had money for airfare right now, I wouldn't fly to Arizona to visit my family, but I would go to Normal, IL just to have Fusion Brew. I lived in the Blono area for 8 years (as an undergraduate/graduate students and as an ungainfully employed person). For the last two years, I went to Fusion Brew AT LEAST four times a week. The Fusion Milk Tea with boba is my crack. The staff is wonderful and I got to know them pretty well. I was such a frequent flyer that they had my drink memorized and often it was already made and waiting for me by the time I got in line to order. Now that I live in Austin, I think about it and crave it on a daily basis. I have been to almost every milk tea establishment in Austin and can't find a replacement. I really miss this place and hope I can make it back for a visit really soon. If not, I might have to go to inpatient rehab to overcome my addiction. Fusion Brew, I just can't quit you. read more
