Fusion Brew has survived the three year mark...yeah for them! This place is cute and sort of convenient in the way you get into their lot. They have a lot of new stuff and they are making significant efforts to update their facebook and twitter for things like specials and soups. I think that is a great idea. They also have an interesting drink lid system...it's more like a seal than a pop on seal. Seems to me that it takes up less landfill space that way!! Why a 4? Well, the few times that I have been there, it's been sorta pokey. I don't ever go there if I am in a rush. read more

If I could give Fusion Brew 10 star, I would. I cannot even begin to explain how many hours I spent here when I was a student at ISU. So as a disclaimer, I haven't been to their new location, but I"m guessing most of their drinks are still the same. The Brew was the place that got me started on bubble tea to begin with. They have a great selection of milk teas and blended drinks. Coffee options are great too. I love that they have seasonal specials like the one for St. Pat's.... can't remember what it was called but it was surely delicious. I have been going to Fusion Brew since my BFF starting working there in 2009. She has long since moved away but I still frequent The Brew. The new location is bigger but the parking lot is smaller. Come during the week to avoid parking across the street and risking life and limb trying to cross Main. The staff is really sweet and accommodating, the owner works behind the counter some times so he knows what's what, and the music they play is great. I'll say nothing about the food and drinks as they speak for themselves. Only complaint: more board games and books please! read more

If you need a suggestion just ask Sarah she's great at helping you to find the perfect drink for the mood you're in. If you are in a hurry and know what you want call ahead. All drinks are made to order so be prepared to wait for your decadent treat to be created. I must say it is worth it. They are known for their boba tea so trying it is a must. OK, so this is going to be confusing. I'm writing a middling review. The drinks were always good (chai tea, cool!). The staff are nice people. My complaints are mostly because I have a huge chip on my shoulder. I just hate coming here. My GF liked it, I jsut couldn't stand it. If you're reading this, and you're attending Illinois Wesleyan, go to Fusion Brew. You'll fit right in if you're female and your parents own a Lexus. If you get pumped about bobas, cool, come here. If you like adding flavors to your coffee, rad, you'll flip your lid for sure. If a coffee shop with apples to apples tucked away on a shelf in the corner turns you on, then bam, this is your place. I've come back to this place so many times even those it's darn expensive on a college student budget because it's that good. I've tried most of the frozen drinks (white chocolate symphony!!) and a couple fruit teas and bobas. Not a huge fan of fruit and boba so my go-to now is the fusion milk tea without boba. BUT in the fall / winter you need to try a mocha. Probably one of the best things ever and has prevented many mental breakdowns due to studying. Fusion Brew used to be one of my favorite spots in Bloomington-Normal. And while, yeah, it's still good, it has definitely dropped down a few notches on my list. One of the reasons for this, is that I've started to notice just how sweet the drinks are. Their syrups are all super sweet - from their flavored teas to their slushes- and taste more like dessert than anything else. While that's good, I've realized it's something that I can only have on occasion. Fusion Brew is a good place to study or just hang out with friends -- In fact, they have a bunch of board games and puzzles for you to sit down and play. However, if you plan to study there, be aware that the wi-fi can be a little spotty. Here are some of my go-to drinks: 1) Banana Fudge Mocha -- this is like a sundae smoothie. My friend took me here when I was a freshman at Wesleyan, and I've been hooked ever since. Huge variety of drinks and I think I've tried basically everything...it's really hard to go wrong. My personal favorites are: vanilla latte, pumpkin snow, cupcake snow, ice blended banana fudge mocha, ice blended irish almond, black tea with raspberry flavor, and jasmine green tea with honey flavor. Food wise, I recommend their hummus plate. Their cinnamon rolls are great (if you get one, ask for them to heat it up). They have a rewards program, which I love because I go there a lot. Grab a rewards stamp card at the register, you're going to need it after trying this place. read more

Been a long time since I had been to Fusion Brew and it is way better than I remember do not sure if they amped up the menu and service or if I just had a not so good experience several years ago. I got an iced decaf spiced chai latte with pop bobas. So the nice barista behind the counter explained to me the fun textures they offered that you can add to drinks. I have had bubble tea before but this was way more fun. It was like gushers in a cup!! Only a refined and mature coffee drink for adults. I would definitely recommend it. It made the already delicious creamy chai more unique and fun to drink! My friends got a hot white chocolate mocha and iced coffees. All were excellent. Fun place to sit with friends or study. Great drinks, most of the time... My taro milk tea today was gritty and overly sugary, and the boba was slightly hard. ...And it cost me 30 dollars. Their parking lot is shared with two other businesses and has a total of about 15 parking spots, so it is usually completely full. I spent just over a half hour inside fusion brew today, telling myself that parking behind the business would be fine and I would not be towed... Wrong. The tow truck operator (B&N) had my car strapped in and ready to go! I had to pay 27 dollars for him to release it. I realize this doesn't completely reflect fusion brew itself, but I found this to be a major downer to my afternoon bubble tea (not so delicious bubble tea) experience. It would be great if they offered their clients 1 hour parking permits or opened a location slightly further from campus. read more

I have been coming to fusion brew ever since I found out about this place! I drive 45 minutes to get to Bloomington so I make sure to stop here every time I come. I love their boba tea! I come here every Wednesday after yoga to get some protein. Great chill spot to get some tea or coffee and a nice snack.

For the most part, the coffee served here is good. When dining in, the baristas usually go all "coffee art" on you, making your cup look as cool as some post you may have seen on facebook. As far as product, the coffee is pretty decent. I've yet to get a coffee where I'm especially unhappy. At about $4-5 per cup, it's priced at a fairly average rate. read more

Always used to love coming here, always was extremely friendly up until my visit to the store around 3 PM on a Thursday when I had a brunette staff member get snippy with me when I had mentioned I had placed an order with boba and I didn't get it. Go local! Been coming here for over 5 years even before they were at this location. The drinks are fabulous and the staff is friendly. Of course, it is busy when the students are in but the wait is always worth it. The owners are good people and we always enjoy talking to the baristas. Get the lavender milk tea in spring and the pumpkin snow in fall. Our go to is a fusion milk tea without ice because it's already cold. ALL of the ice blended coffee choices are good if your looking for a "frappuccino" type beverage. And you can typically sub out cow's milk for almond or soy! The hot tea selection is rather good also!!!!! There is literally something for everyone. read more

I live in Bloomington, so I hadn't heard of the place until a couple months ago, having lived here for a few years. I had been missing out! The place is a wee bit overpriced in some ways (I could make myself a hot cocoa at home just as easily) but the atmosphere is part of what you're paying for, and the quality is much better than I could make for myself. The hummus plate is nice, but I especially like the iced coffees and the hot cocoas. The best part is that there's a little couch in the back where you can curl up with some friends, pull some chairs around the table, and play games or just chat. It's a very cosy place. Went here this weekend while waiting for my phone to be fixed. They made me a really good coconut snow! It was awesome. But the reason I'm giving 3 stars is because they really didn't understand how my mom wanted her coffee which was really basic. She just wanted a blended coffee with cream. No added sweeteners or syrups. What they gave her had a lot of both plus they added Carmel sauce on top on the whipped cream she asked. When I went to go get it remade. The girl who made it processed to tell me that coffee can't be blended? It can for one thing. Then she goes on to tell me the coffee they use is a powder! They make espresso but use some form of powder for any coffee drinks. They ended up making her a latte drink. Free since they messed up of the first one. But I would not recommend getting anything coffee here since it's a powder and not made from coffee beans grounds. read more

Amazing place. Great coffee, good tea, and last winter they had a red velvet hot chocolate that was to die for. Cheaper than Starbucks and higher quality too. I would recommend this place to literally everyone I meet. Parking is a little lacking, but seating is plentiful. They have card games and board games too.
