Dr.Gardner is very good with flattery upon first impressions, but I would say this is far from genuine "care." I started seeing Dr.Gardner about 3 months ago for hypothyroidism and it seemed that I would start receiving quality ongoing care. Unfortunately it is evident that her admitted marital frustrations are bleeding into her practice. Upon my follow up appointment, I was prescribed another medication and when I called for a refill it was very hard to get ahold of the office. Once I spoke to Dr.Gardner, she seemed irritated and like she didn't want to make any changes despiste the way I expressed worsening symptoms. After refilling my prescription, I was charged almost $500 (more than double) what I owed and I continued to have miscommunication with the pharmacy (causing my prescription to lapse almost a week) that I was promised would handle it. I was as patient as I could be until the office phone system was switched and I did not see a refund after several days. I went up to the office to sort it out because the colleagues who referred her to me as well as my clients who I referred to her said they were having issues with their new phone system. Shortly after I thought I had everything straightened out with billing and prescriptions, the office personnel handed me her cell phone with Dr. Gardner on the line who proceeded to berate me for being in the office yelling "why are you in my office? leave now, my employees aren't answering your calls!! Find a new physician!" I tried being patient despite the disorganization / miscommunication which was hopefully just temporary.. I highly suggest they communicate only in writing moving forward, especially when specializing in women's healthcare. Sadly, I did already refer several other women to her based on my initial experience and I have already had to apologize to them for experiencing similar issues. Tower medic held my prescription for a week without telling me it was fulfilled or calling me to notify its fulfillment as they said they would until I called them. I also found their compounding pharmacy tower medic to be mismatched in their understanding of one another's prescription payout list which added to me being double charged and having to call more often to straighten out the issues at hand only to be met with more unsavory exchanges from both parties. Unless you stand to be a cash cow who takes what is given and doesn't ask questions, I would steer clear of this clinic for women's hormone care. Overall, I was expected to have the flexibility of a contortionist and an acceptance of an unpaid medical assisting role for the office. read more

Well I have been going to Dr. Lisa for several years. I absolutely loved her. She referred me to an amazing cosmetic surgeon. Lately I have had some weird reactions to the pellet treatment. I called to ask if she prescribe's creams as well as the pellets. The girl that I talked too said she does sometimes and proceeded to tell me it would cost me $200 for an office visit just to find out if she will prescribe the creams!!!! I don't mind paying the money if she will help me but that was not promised. I really needed help and they didn't care!! I'm out! That's ridiculous. I love her but no! That's bad business. Went to see "Dr" Gardner to get hormone levels checked out. From looks of marketing materials in office, she's more of a botox expert. Met with Ms Gardner. She spent entire time giving her marketing pitch about hormone pellets. Asked me nothing about my medical history or current situation. After "consultation"/marketing pitch, her staff took blood for lab work and sent me to check out and schedule follow up visit to get pellets inserted (without reviewing labs?). At the checkout desk, they handed me a bag, telling me the Dr said I need to start taking two supplements (based on no lab work or history from me?). Supplements we're over$100. When I got home, opened and saw that they were Cucurmin (Tumeric) and Magnesium, which I was already taking (and purchased at Walgreens for about $25). Went for my follow-up appointment, and returned supplements. They have me $$ back, and were ready to have pellets inserted. When I told him I wanted to review lab results with Dr first, they seemed a bit irritated. Dr couldn't meet with me, but assistant came in room and handed me lab report, but no consultation. Unless you're going for cosmetic work, I wouldn't trust this place! My REAL doctor advised to stay away, and would not go near their pellet scheme. read more

I've been a patient of Dr. Gardner's for five years, receiving pellet implants every three months, and what a difference she has made to our well-being and our marriage, even though I am currently 68 years and my husband is 74! I started the pellets without telling my husband, just to see if they truly would make a difference in how I felt. I was willing to be the guinea pig. The results were astounding; so much so that my husband signed up to receive them as well by the time my next pellets were scheduled. He has been on them consistently every six months since then. We both feel as good as we did when we were 30 years younger--in every sense of the word. Need I say more? Actualy, I would like to give a little bit of advice before you consider starting pellets. First, pellets will not be a panacea for a marriage that is already troubled, but the therapy will strengthen a marriage that is filled with love, trust, and understanding even though our bodies let us down as we age. Second, make sure both partners are tested, because if one of you has depleted hormones but is not willing to take pellet therapy, while the other is receiving pellets, frustrations may grow in the relationship. Frankly, your libidos will not be in sync. Third, so long as your budget allows, regular treatments are the key to success; irregular treatments will give you poor results. Finally, if you feel the pellets are not strong enough or are too strong, talk to Dr. Gardner. Don't suffer in silence. She is willing to work with you until you grab the golden ring. My husband and I have captured the ring, and we intend to hang on to it as long as possible! read more

Waited an entire week for an rx refill. My pharmacist and myself tried contacting Fusion/Dr.Gardners office for over a week with no luck . Well my husband finally got a live person on the phone just to be told that they no longer prescribe the medication. Had my husband not called, we'd still be waiting. I have just found a new GYN. And all of this was in top of trying for 2 weeks to make a well woman check up with the same horrible service, NO RETURN PHONE CALL. Lisa Gardner is a great lady with a HORRIBLE STAFF. read more

Dr Gardner is quite the character! I actually love how silly she can be, it calms me down a lot. I went in for just typical girl problems and she has helped me a lot. She has a very holistic approach to things and how you should treat your body and what you do to it. She is a bit of a rambler, and if you aren't the type to say everything that's wrong with you, and actually ask questions, she will tend to just make a decision for you. But I calmly told her exactly what was wrong, what I thought, and then asked her opinion and she had some answers for me that worked! You can tell she's very passionate about what she does and she's been doing it for years. I really enjoy going to her! read more

okay so if a gyno visit can be good this one was great! Sounds strange I know but EVERYTHING about this experience was terrific. I called as a new patient and was told she was 6 weeks out for appointments on new patients. I told them I'd really need to get in sooner if at all possible. They promised to put my name down and if an opening came up they would call. Yeah right, I've heard that from a doctor's office before. Well, they did not call a week later or 3 weeks later but later that same day. Seemed there had been a cancellation and they were able to get me in just 2 days later. No waiting around in hopes they'd keep their word. When does that happen? I walked in and it is beautiful and modern like going to a spa which they do have medspa services but it reminded me of my beauty salon/ spa. Nice music, comfy chairs, fun art the whole 9. High luxe not icky sterile 1971 gyno office. Now yes they have tons of skin care etc type products for sale and they are there on display but no one ever tried to SELL me anything but was still able to answer my questions. The entire staff, MA's, lab tech, front office (EVERYONE) was helpful, nice and in quite a good mood and so sweet. All of them!!! No one made you feel like they were just ready for the day to be over. Also, there was no 3 hour wait. Maybe 20 minutes outside and 15 in the room. Maybe that long TOPS! Well, when Dr. Gardner walked in it was like a little ray of sunshine. She was so talkative and outgoing and warm. I have had numerous bad experiences and have always hated going for that annual check up. I have waited until a little later in life to think about having children. She didn't make me feel stupid or doomed but was quite encouraging. Never have I felt that before. I'm not pregnant now but the thought of not being judged for my delay was wonderful and refreshing. Before I knew it she said she was done. We had been having such a pleasant experience I didn't even realize she had really started.. AMAZING!!! When she found something she thought I needed further investigation on she didn't send me on a wild goose chase all over town but set me up for the follow up just a few days later. I really could go on and on about what a great first visit I had with this lady. Also, ladies if you are out of the baby making frame of mind and in your 30's talk to Dr.G about BioTE. It sounds amazing I'm just not there yet. BUT when I am ready I will be trying the BioTE hormone pellets. Research them. It sounds amazing. Anyway, enough for now. But if i could give them a billion stars I would. Lastly, I am only living in Fort Worth for a short time though it is my hometown I live in Austin now. I will drive back for my visits. Worth 3 hours to have a good annual exam. read more

Available appointments are nearly a year out. But if I need see her for hormone issues, I can easily get an appoint in a few short weeks. The best doctor, caring friendly staff. The office is so lovely, and smells fantastic. Dr. Gardner takes amazing care of you, and makes you feel taken care of. She also has wonderful robes that you wear for the exams instead of that awful paper robe you get in most places. There are no details that she leaves out when it comes to making you feel relaxed. The staff is wonderful and the office itself is a very cool place and unlike any other Dr office I have been too. The first time I went to get pellets it was a staff member who did them and I really enjoyed the experience. However I went back yesterday to get re- pelleted and met Dr Gardner for the 1st time and I must say she is a total basket case. You cant consult with her because she does not have any listening skills whatsoever - she either thinks she knows what your going to say or hears one word that you say and goes off on a tangent and wants to run a test for this that or the other without taking the time to get a full picture of what is going on - it was almost like talking to someone who was all hopped up on something or a crazy woman who's own hormones are totally out of whack. She refers to herself as being a "Mama Bear" and while I was there for no reason out of the blue she told me about a young patient 13 yrs old that she had put an IUD in later found out that the girl had unprotected sex and DR Gardner felt that was irresponsible so without the Mother or the Daughter wanting it - took it upon herself to remove the IUD- well if she was having protected sex- why would she need it to begin with? And why would she tell me this- she rambled on with crazy stuff for 40 minutes than tried to charge me an extra 250 for the "consultation" I had hoped that I had found a DR but unfortunately I'm still looking - I will not go back to this place and don't recommend it. read more

I scheduled with Dr. Gardner for a well-woman exam based on a couple of recommendations from friends. I was very disappointed in my experience with her office for several reasons. I arrived at my appointment on time and with all my paperwork filled out. I waited for a full hour in the reception area with absolutely NO updates on my appointment status from the front office staff. I finally asked about my appointment time and was told I'd be seen next. When Dr. Gardner entered the treatment room (after I was already in "the robe"), she did not review any of my personal medical history or ask my any of my concerns. She spoke for 10-15 minutes on how I was a candidate for hormone pellet therapy due to my age alone. I could barely get a word in edgewise! It was a non-stop commercial for pellet therapy. I am not averse to such therapy, but would have liked a more open discussion about my concerns rather than such a one-sided one. I left knowing I not be back. I have also been billed for an "extended consultation" in the amount of $375 due to the fact she "discussed" hormone pellet therapy with me. I have refuted these charges with the billing office as well as the office staff. They explained that anything other than the well-woman exam at a visit constitutes this additional fee. I was told that I was informed of this when scheduling, but do not recall that. The office did offer a reduced fee to settle these charges. This was the worst well-woman/gyn. visit I've ever experienced and have sought out another physician who will hopefully partner WITH me in my healthcare. read more
