I was really impressed with my experience at Hiatus Spa. So much so that I signed up for the membership (which is a great deal if you love the spa)! I got the 60 minute signature massage. My massage therapist, Barbara, was amazing. She made me feel super comfortable and heard during my appointment. The locker rooms are also very spacious and clean. There are showers available if you need them. The robes were comfortable and sized to be inclusive of many body types. There is garage parking available and they will validate your parking when you check in for your service. I can't wait to come back for another massage next month! Between Sunday and Monday, there were at least 4 phone calls to confirm the appointment scheduled for Monday at 5:45pm. In the final phone call Monday at 1:20, the front desk after confirming the appointment 3 times, asked if I could come in an hour and 15 minutes early at 4:30pm. Because I work 30 minutes away and would need to leave work over an hour early to make it by 4:30pm, I said no. The person on the phone seemed to understand and the 5:45pm appointment time was still confirmed. At 4:25pm, I received a text message from Hiatus Spa saying "your service provider had to leave for the day due to an emergency. Is there anyway you're able to come in at 4:30?" I do a monthly membership credit thing, and it's really nice to utilize and credit and do add-ons if you feel like it, or combine with another service. The facial was truly luxurious and my therapist gave me a week's worth of Vitamin C serum to help with spot treatments. I'm inclined to try their summer H-circle package to try other services. TAKISHA - MANI + PEDI / SHE IS GIFTED!! I enjoyed experiencing Takisha's gift every month for 2 years. I even took out a membership in the Fort Worth Hiatus location added 2 other services and added my son to my membership. That is 4 MONTHLY services in which I invested because of Takisha. Takisha was removed from the Fort Worth location to their Dallas location. I couldn't travel that distance to see her! I consented to have a new technician for my next visit. It was a disaster. Then I was told my usual massage therapist was also no longer available. When I called about the disastrous mani + pedi I was offered a complimentary visit which I accepted. After thinking long and hard I canceled my membership and all future appointments. I could not fathom finding another Takisha who is literally "one in a million" I can say after over 4 decades of going elsewhere before she came into my life. I knew she was at the Dallas location. After "lobbying" long and hard for Takisha to return to Fort Worth it finally happened!! I saw her yesterday and returned to "HEAVEN". I am in my mid 70's and she treats me like I'm family. I tell you Takisha is a person you will appreciate/love having in your life regularly! You can schedule with her in Fort Worth on Wednesdays otherwise in Dallas. Both front desk girls were very nice and welcoming. My mani+pedi was so relaxing and enjoyable. The noise cancelling headphones with serene music, eye mask, and zero gravity chair made me feel like I was on a cloud in heaven. Perfect after a long day at work. The technician was very professional and did a great job! I am not a fan of dip or gel polish due to the difficult removal process, but the long wear polish they offer lasts just as long and comes off easily with acetone at home. Not sure what's going on in there but considering I had to pick her up in tears I'd guess it wasn't anything good. Incredible experiences, each time I've gone! I've done the zero gravity mani pedi, and the signature massage, twice so far. Clean facilities, with lots of amenities! The hot tea was my favorite "extra" touch so far. You can choose to be chatty or not, the staff don't mind either way and make sure you are taken care of. Go early so you aren't rushed, and so you can spend a little time in the relaxation room before.. Also, that give you time to park- they can validate your parking if you park in the garage across the street, kind of diagonal to the spa. Enjoy your time!! read more

I've been a long time member of Hiatus spa Dallas and was happy to hear that they were opening a Fort Worth location. It's taken a long time for them to open, but the time is here! The facility is light and airy. The lounge area is very cozy with lots of throw pillows and blankets. Like the other locations, they offer aveda tea and flavored water. I love Hiatus. I'll preface by saying I've never been one for chain spas - but Hiatus feels different. I've been to the plano, Austin & FTW locations + have never left disappointed. That being said, spa experiences are HIGHLY dependent on your service provider & I've struck GOLD at Hiatus ftw. Danielle is one of the best massage therapists that I've ever been lucky enough to find. I've had the traditional massage, Swedish & deep tissue / targeted options with her + each one has been soooo good. Highly recommend as she knows her stuff. She's so sweet & makes me feel incredibly relaxed. I ended up opt'ing into the H-circle membership, which is $69/month & you get a credit for either: essential massage, mani/pedi or facial. I haven't had the facial yet, but the massages + pedicures are both top notch. For pedicures - it's unlike you traditional pedi.. you get put in a gravity chair with a sleep mask + noise cancelling headphones with the intent of slipping away into pure relaxation. I'm embarrassed to say, but I've called asleep every time I've gotten a pedicure here.. it's THAT good. Ask for Takisha - she will take CARE of you! Big shoutout to Danielle & Takisha!! So I used to frequent the Aveda spa in Dallas for the longest time simply because that's where my husband first purchased a membership for me for Mother's Day a while back, but now that they have this location in Fort Worth, I decided to try it out and I wanted to wait to give my honest opinion because I know that it takes more than one time at a spa to really hone in on the benefits and amenities. I will say that this location is small compared to the other two Dallas locations that I went to previously, but they do not lack at all in customer service or quality. I really love my massage therapist, and I'm not going to say his name because I do not want you to book him and then I won't be able to get an appointment LOL, but just know that he is very wonderful at his job and I never leave the spa unsatisfied. The front desk ladies are always so nice, and very accommodating. They are always there with a great attitude and ready to help in anyway possible, the bathrooms and showers are always clean and it's a very relaxing environment. I sometimes feel like the Dallas location was kind of hustle and bustle because it's so busy, so this is a really nice change of pace. I highly recommend hiatus spa, I've been a customer of theirs for almost 8 years now and I don't think that I would get a massage anywhere else just because this is basically all I know. I definitely recommend you try it out and the membership is the way to go for the cheapest option..... $73 a month gets you one essential service each month and if you want to update that or upgrade that you can at any time with no penalty, so I highly suggest going that route so that you are saving money. So I'll start by saying I suffer from lupus and get intense flares over the winter break that cause severe pain on my joints and back. I was in severe pain for two days before I decided to reach out and schedule a massage. Since I have a membership at another spa, I tried scheduling a session but it was completely booked. I called the Dallas location, which was closer to me as well and couldn't get in. Finally, decided to check if Ft. Worth had an opening and the lady who answered the phone, who was extremely friendly and accommodating said she actually had a cancelation and was able to get me in right after work. She said my therapist was actually a lead who was great and had great hands and was definitely going to help me out. I drive all the way from Dallas in record time and I get there and Beatriz, who happens to be the lady who answered the phone and scheduled me out and she was so friendly and nice. She took me in to the changing area and explain to me a couple of things before showing me to the lounge area and offered me a tea or citrus water. I was already in my robe and sandals and ready to go. It was such a relaxing and smooth experience I was already feeling my pain go away. Then, Danielle who happens to be my therapist comes in and takes me to the massage room. She does a foot scrub and then she proceeds to ask me how I felt and what my concerns were. She also told me she was very happy I was able to make it in. Trust me, I was even happier to be there. I was so glad. During the session, she hit all my problem areas and the massage has to be in my top 2, along with a Thai Massage I got in Rome last year. I do deep tissue massages regularly but she was incredible. She worked my back out and took out all the pain I felt. After the session, she took me in to the lounge area and asked me if I wanted tea or citrus water and offered a neck wrap, and I stayed there for a few minutes before deciding it was time to go home. Needless to say, I signed up for a membership, knowing that even when It was a little far for me, the massage itself and the experience was exactly what I need when I go for a massage or facial session. The folks here will force you into a state of relaxation whether you want it or not. My wife bought into the membership here and enjoys everything the spa has to offer. As a bystander, they go out of their way to make me as comfortable as they can. The tea they offer here is out of this world. It's not exactly the flavor of the tea, but the way it coats my entire being in a honey-tinged aura that transcends space and time. One sip of the tea immediately transports me to a state of warm peace that unites all my other selves across the multiverse into nirvana. My wife speaks highly about the various services offered, and the fact that I am able to experience a world of peace and joy without even using their services makes me feel like you can't go wrong booking your next massage or other self-care service at this location. It was my first time at Hiatus Fort Worth on the morning of June 7th. My appointment was at 9:45am, but when I arrived around 9:25 the lady at the front desk was not welcoming at all. She basically just checked me in and told me to go to the back. I went to the back like she said, but had no idea where I was going or what I was doing since it was my first time there. I wondered around the back thinking there would be someone there to help me or greet me, but there was no one. So I finally came back to the front and asked her where exactly I was to go since there were multiple rooms. She seemed frustrated that I asked and then reluctantly had me follow her to the bathroom where I could put on the robe and slippers they had available. She briefly told me how to work the locker and then abruptly walked out without so much as a smile on her face. She was gone before I could even say thank you. I understand it was probably too early in the morning for her, but as this was my first experience at hiatus, I would have to say that my first impression with customer service was very disappointing. I felt like a bother during a time where as a mother of 3 under 7 yrs old I just wanted to enjoy my Mother's Day gift of a message from my husband. Although the message itself was great, unfortunately because of the customer service experience I will no longer be coming back. read more

The body massage was extraordinary and wonderful but I also added the energizing scalp massage and that service was disappointing. It seemed as if the scalp massage was only on the surface of my hair and was so light that I didn't feel any relief nor massaging on my scalp. I also didn't think it was for 10 minutes but then again I kept waiting for the actual massage on my scalp and next thing the whole service was finished - I felt disappointed that I never got the real massage on my scalp, it was just rubbing my hair on the surface, which was not a great feeling because all I heard and felt was my hair getting into knots. Sadly my hair stylist gave me a better scalp massage during my monthly hair salon appointment. read more

Love this place! My parents and I had a membership at a different place and instantly we were able to feel a difference with Hiatus Spa + Retreat. The massage oil used at Hiatus is not synthetic. The previous spa used synthetic oils that left the skin greasy. I never knew it was synthetic until I came to Hiatus. Hiatus also offers a more relaxed, clean, and friendly environment. My message therapist is Danielle. I LOVE HER! She has been my massage therapist for a while now. She is tiny but is strong! She knows the perfect pressure to use on me and is able to release all the knots I have, even the ones I didn't even know I had! Danielle is always attentive and asks if there is anything that I would prefer her focus on. At the end of the appointment, I feel so relaxed and stress free. There is no one else like her! My parents love their massage therapist. Both were elated on our first visit at Hiatus. My dad's massage therapist is Chelsea. Dad says Chelsea is great and gave him one of his best massages. Chelsea has been able to relieve stress off of my dad's shoulders and sciatica pain. My mom's first massage therapist was Edwina. Mom enjoyed her first massage with her. Edwina was able to find all of the muscle knots collected on my mom's back and shoulders from stress and also relieved her sciatica pain. My mom also had an appointment with Tiki because Edwina was not available last visit. We booked our appointments on last minute. Tiki also made my mom feel relaxed and stress free. Mom is now torn between the two. Both message therapists offered amazing massages for her. We decided to join their membership. Their membership is actually better as they offer more benefits than the previous spa we attended. Our drive is further out than the previous but we feel it is worth the drive. Went here with all hopes of an unbelievable mani/pedi experience, needless to say it was anything but. No soothing foot bath for soaking prior to pedicure. Wrap feet in hot towels while doing manicure. Exfoliating mitts worn for manicure, no scrub. Hand/arm massage was at the very best, blaahhhh. Pedicure massage was pretty good tho. Unfortunately my $140.00 mani/pedi (before tip) nail polish peeled off in sheets within 2 days. Would NOT recommend this place for mani/pedi, other services i don't know. read more
