My kids don't want to go back to this summer camp. A good amount of the counselors were great, and…read morethey liked meeting other kids, but they were rushed everywhere. A reliable non-kid source who was present also told me the kids are rushed around. I don't get it. This camp is supposed to be fun. Kids don't move as fast, especially the younger kids. Why do you have to rush them around everywhere? They also had weekly field trips which was nice. The would go to the Palos pool sometimes, went to Lincoln Park zoo one time, another time went to Beverly Art Center. That was nice. I just don't get why the kids who are wearing back packs, carrying water bottle and their lunch are being told to walk faster. You don't need to rush kids on to the next thing. Connect with them, and encourage them to the next thing. You should really make time accommodations knowing the younger kids especially, will move slower. My kids were stressed out about this part. Not sure why the people in charge facilitate this "move faster" approach. Also, I wish they would reapply sunblock. These kids are outside marching around on often 90 degree hot summer days, could we maybe actually re-apply the sunblock? I give it 2.5 stars.

The whole facility is very new , very clean , and very pleasant. Four stars here - why? There is a Charter Fitness less than half a block away. The membership fee there is half of the "full" membership cost here. Based on the attendance I witnessed here today; 5 assumed full members using the machines and three people walking, and at least 4 staff members, there is NO WAY that this facility generates enough money to be self supporting. When we were where the playing courts are, there were a couple of employees that were leading children's play activities--they were using nerf guns, playing soccer and dodge ball. The little ones were able to just run around or play in the little room that was part of the birthday reservation. The facility is clean, and there's a little playground just outside as well for days when the weather is warm enough. Parking is one way so don't be a jerk and mess up the flow of traffic.

A bit South of Joliet, we had no idea how to get there, and were way out of our comfort zone in an adventurous sense. I was told that our friend had "plenty of beds" so surely this could not be a trailer home. To my surprise these deluxe double wides, or manufactures homes, are extremely nice. Many have large porches, garages, or 2 floors! A lot of the boat docks have coverings and winter storage options like lifting the boat directly out the water where it sits. This is a "speed boat" lake. A flooded strip mine that gets up to 100ft deep in the center. There is NO sand bar, or party cove. Only families with kids skiing, tubing, and cruising. The lake could not be more picturesque with a cute bridge, various channels and beautiful landscaping. We cannot wait to be invited back, and will keep an ear to the street when a property, complete with Boat, goes up for sale.

I asked if they had any package deals or trials and i was told they did not. The second time i came I was preparing to pay again, but a different worker asked if I tried their 3 day trial. She recommended me to sign up for the 3 day trial that's good for 90 days, meaning they did not have to be consecutive and best of all it was FREE! Shout out to this worker that went above and beyond. I could tell it was a little more work to prepare this for me, but she was so kind and I really appreciated her assistance. So for the record, yes they have a 3 day trial for FREE for anyone who is needing a quick gym in the area.
