I consider myself a "picky" customer as far as taxidermy goes. When I was younger I did some hobby taxidermy. I wasn't that good at it, but I did just enough to know what good work looks like.
I have had 4 trophies done by Darin Fuson, and currently have two animals at his shop being completed. Both mule deer he did are nearly perfect, and both were completed within a year of being dropped off. I have other mule deer in my trophy room, but Darin's are without question a step above. He also did 2016 Alaska caribou shoulder mounts for myself and my son. The caribou are not only beautifully done, but they serve as the centerpiece of my den. These animals were not easy to do, since we had to split the skull plates in order to ship them. I just brought Darin my dad's Boone and Crockett whitetail (killed in 1982), and my son's black bear for a rug. Darin Fuson gets my highest recommendation. read more
