This firm has no teeth, no fight, and will do absolutely nothing to protect your interests. From the very beginning, they failed to mention that they don't even go to court. Despite the ongoing and obvious issues with my co-owner--my brother--they strung me along for over two years, charging $5,000 upfront, another $9,000 later, and then hitting me with an additional $27,500 at closing without any prior disclosure. All this, and yet no real progress was made. They allowed my brother's lawyer--a local storefront real estate attorney charging only $4,400 over two years--to completely push them around, dictate the terms, and walk all over me. My lawyer had no fight in them to stand up to the other lawyer, protect my interests, or stop me from being taken advantage of. My brother unilaterally evicted tenants, costing me 18 months of rental income, and I made it clear I would not pay for renovations and wanted the property sold as-is. Despite this, Russo Law Group let my brother take full control of the situation while I was left with no say. To make matters worse, after all that time and money, they revealed that they don't handle court cases and would simply pass me off to another firm for legal action. Why wasn't this disclosed upfront? Adding insult to injury, my original lawyer left the firm, and I was reassigned to someone completely unfamiliar with my case. Russo Law Group is toothless, ineffective, and a complete waste of time and money. They failed to protect my rights, allowed the other side to steamroll me, and drained me financially while leaving me worse off than when I started. Some other clients are in conflict about withheld documents that Anthony will not return to them without payment. He refuses to convey to them that he is legally required to hold that paperwork and the private information being held is not deleted from the office whether they pay for a copy sent or not. Would be wise to have a second or third opinion. Everything is done by a trust program and everyone at the office felt the need to tell me that not any of them had read a single one of the trusts all the way through, ever. It was not terribly difficult to do, could be done easily within one afternoon or long evening. Found at least one verified error in the one I read, with no previous trust drafting experience. Only experience in other areas of legal drafting. They decided after I shared marketing advice with them that I had learned through life insurance and other trust and estate offices, that the job they offered now requires a notary appointment they had not mentioned, and that they were no longer offering the position at all. They told me that the Friday before Christmas, when my job search would certainly be affected until the new year. The position for which I applied was for $75,000, they were only willing to offer $45,000, and said it was for a different position that would be doing less than the paralegals do. It was for the same exact work, but they decided to offer that much less. I would not consider any trust through someone who cannot keep a reasonable commitment to consider someone, or who would remove an opportunity from someone new, right before Christmas. They had asked me to read the trust fully, and I did. The entire office felt the need to tell me none of them were asked to do so. No extensive training or required certifications were discussed at all in the interview or hiring process. They might have used me to do end of year contract witnessing, always knowing they weren't going to really have the position given.
