Wow. Just wow. Mark Olson and Future Forensics exceeded every expectation. After my insurance company declared my vehicle a total loss, the offer seemed off--and even ChatGPT confirmed I was likely being lowballed after reviewing the documentation. I reached out to a respected auto body shop here in Eugene, and they highly recommended Mark. In less than 48 hours, Mark professionally reviewed the valuation and was able to secure a revised settlement that was close to $3,000 higher than the insurance company's offer--and even more than what I paid for the used 2022 vehicle when I purchased it in late 2023. If you ever experience a total loss situation, I highly recommend working with Mark Olson and Future Forensics. His expertise, responsiveness, and results speak volumes read more

Mark was professional, fast and an excellent communicator. I never once wondered where we were in the process, he brought me along every step of the way. In the end he was able to secure a settlement far more appropriate, exceeded all my expectations and more than compensated for his nominal fee. read more

Mark went above and beyond in helping with my auto insurance appraisal process. The process made it to the umpire stage where I was ultimately awarded an amount HIGHER than the amount of my estimate and what I went into the process asking for! read more

For several months, I've been haggling with my insurance company over a major discrepancy on the evaluation of my total loss on a vehicle. After I was referred to Mark last week, I moved the process to an appraiser review with Mark as my representative and negotiated over +$10k more in the payout, leading to a fair settlement with my insurer - in just one week! I never could have gotten there without Mark. He was clear, effective and efficient. I also appreciate his candor in our communication. He was responsive and he took time to educate me about questions I had outside of the appraisal process, so that I could understand the broader property insurance landscape, court and/or umpire process, all so that I had context for the moves I was making. I couldn't recommend Mark & Future Forensics highly enough. read more

I would highly recommend Mark Olsen for his excellent work as an appraiser. Mark was recommended to me by my autobody shop because my auto insurance was not paying fully for the car repair supplement. I was so hesitant about reaching out to get help initially but am grateful that I did in the end. He was very generous with his time answering all my concerns and questions about insurance and what my rights are with reimbursement for car repair with a claim. In fact he gave advice on other concerns outside of what I hired him for. Mark was able to negotiate more money on the auto claim than what was asked for so that I actually received an over-payment back from insurance. It worked out better than I would have every imagined. I am so appreciative that I had put my trust in Mark and had his help. I would recommend him 100% to anyone that would need help and are hesitant to hire anyone. read more

Mark was able to recover an additional $5000 for our family vehicle that the insurance was under valuing. 10/10 service, I will refer all our friends and family to him read more

I called Mark based on a recommendation of a local person that's no longer able to offer appraisal on a total loss. Mark helped me with navigating the negotiation process with the insurance company that helps me to recover the fair value for the total loss settlement of my vehicle. 100% recommending Mark for your total loss appraisal needs. read more

After having my vehicle totaled out and dealing with my insurance company, I requested an umpire, as I live in Florida. Why in the world would Allstate use a company all the way across the country. Never looked at my vehicle and I'm assuming just looked at the photos, As I washed my vehicle every week and it was in perfect condition spotless. This company even lowballed the insurance company estimate. As a woman dealing in a man's insurance world, I would never recommend this company for any type of insurance estimate and or value. read more

After being an insurance adjuster for the last 35 years, I was lowballed by Allstate and I then invoked the appraisal process. Mark was the umpire and what a total collapse of a shitty job Mark did for me. Mark even priced my vehicle lower than what Allstate did. Never had anybody actually look at my vehicle in person. This company is nothing short of a fraud, I would not recommend his company to anybody to use as an umpire. Just another member of the good old boys club and getting paid by Allstate. What an embarrassment to be in the insurnace industry with people like Mark screwing over the insured's and getting paid from Allstate, just another piece of shit in my opinion and I would NOT use this company for anything in insurance. What a Fraud. read more

Outstanding!!! Working with Mark at Future Forensics was a great experience. After trying to work with my insurance myself to get what I thought was a reasonable amount for my totaled vehicle and getting nowhere, I sought out the assistance of Mark at Future Forensics. When I first called him, he was very up front and told me he would only take the case if he thought he could beat what the insurance had offered me. I really appreciated his honesty and integrity. Mark/Future Forensics was able to get me the top of the range he said at the start of our communications and was great at keeping me up to date on the progress of the case along the way. I would highly recommend working with Future Forensics and while I hope I don't have the need to hire such a company again, but if I do, Future Forensics will be my first and only call. read more

CAN I PLEASE GIVE 10 STARS? Thank you Mark! What can I say other than I am so incredibly thankful, and completely floored by the results. I am writing this completely of my own volition, and because I simply don't know how else to express how happy I am that I was recommended to this company and Mark for my insurance valuation issue. To give background: I am a Volvo enthusiast. Specifically, I have driven ONLY 1980s 240 Volvos for the last twenty-two years. In February of this year, my 1986 manual station wagon was hit and totaled while she was parked. The insurance company offered me a ridiculous ($1500) amount based on a large-company valuation that had no actual bearing on actual value of my vehicle, its rarity (she was a stick-shift), or the work I had done in upkeep (over $4k in the last year and a half). Because my car was so 'old' - I had no recourse for Blue Book valuation - although I know the classic 240DL Volvo market and what it would cost me to replace my beloved vehicle. I felt at a complete loss of what to do. Thankfully, by reaching out to various social networks I was recommended to Mark Olson of Future Forensics. Mark was super-prompt in replying to my query, upfront about the process (what I would be liable for in fees should the appraisal not come in as hoped for), and transparent on whether this was a case he felt was winnable. He also went above and beyond in explaining to me in detail the ins/outs of the appraisal clause in insurance, how it works, and the steps he would take to fight for my case. (Honestly, he really did take the time and effort to explain, which that in of itself is rare sometimes with a service provider --- and was so appreciated). Additionally, to do due diligence I called another recommended appraiser, who ALSO said that Mark does excellent work, and I was in good hands. (Who has recommendations from their competitors? THAT already told me I was on the right path). Within a week Mark had worked with the insurance to settle for over what I had even originally hoped for, ensuring that I was not left out-of-pocket for an accident that was not my fault. While I will miss my baby (Her name was Sybil) - getting what she was actually worth so I can get my "new" Volvo to the condition my previous one was in. I CANNOT SAY ENOUGH GOOD THINGS ABOUT MARK AND HIS COMPANY. Oftentimes we take insurance appraisals with fear (I know I did). Mark's and the Future Forensic team's diligence as well as prompt replies and transparency on process made this so much easier. He was upfront about what he thought was a reasonable ballpark, (it was exceeded btw), listened to my concerns and 1,000% went to bat for me in an arena which I was not qualified to do for myself. Beyond excellent experience from start to finish. THANK YOU! read more

Mark helped me a lot! The final result meets my expectation. My car was hit by another car badly. At beginning, I asked for diminished value from insurance company by myself and it was a struggling experience. Then I luckily got an introduction of Future Forensics from the body shop. I tried to call Future Forensics but no response. Then I tried to email them, and got response from Mark very soon. Then, everything went well after that. I got appraisal, and also got Mark's help on negotiation with insurance company, and finally got the diminished value back for my car. Mark is professional and reliable. I feel so lucky to have Mark's help. read more

I've worked with Mark many times over the past decade. He's a very ethical auto appraiser, which is hard to come by nowadays. If I have a question that I don't know the answer to, Mark is one of the first auto appraisers I turn to. His integrity is beyond reproach and he's excellent in determining vehicle values, testifying in court and repair analysis. If I needed an auto appraiser to represent me in a claim, Mark's the person I would hire. read more

My daughter was in an accident and the car was totaled. I looked up KBB valuations on my car in advance of the insurance company's total loss offer and knew they were low-balling me. In the state of Washington, insurance companies won't negotiate with you on price, but rather you need to hire an outside appraiser to work with the insurance company's outside appraiser. I called Mark Olsen at Future Forensics for consultation and, while on the phone, he provided his professional estimate on the car valuation - which was several thousands more than the insurance company offer. The service cost $450 with the potential pay-out of several thousand- it was an easy return on investment decision. The insurance company took some time to engage, but Mark was able to settle for just slightly off his original estimate. I'm getting more money in the mail thanks to Mark. read more

Nevermind they messed with me again I'm done with them They kept me in the dark not knowing what is going on I felt like a bother to them So I am not willing to recommend them to anyone Unless they dont mind being in the dark and not getting the answers they want. read more

The insurance company was very reluctant to pay out a fair claim , mark was very professional and explained In detail what my situation was and went above and beyond expiations to get me a decent settlement. 10/10 would recommend ! read more

Mark was a godsend to me. I would unequivocally hire him again, if I were unlucky enough to be in another collision. I had no idea this would be the case, when I hired him. He had been recommended by a very reputable source and I knew his qualifications would be obvious to the insurance company who would receive his diminution of value assessment. But his assistance went beyond this when the insurance company played a low ball. I had not fathomed the degree of harm dealing with insurance companies would have on me...financial, emotional, loss of time... trust. The car damage was minor in comparison to the personal impact, but one elevates the other in upset and damage. Mark stepped up and communicated directly with the insurance company in my behalf when I asked him to. I wasn't left to deal alone with the Goliath insurance company. This, to me, was the most critical part of all. I am grateful. I hope never to need another diminution of value assessment, but if I were to - I would hire Mark. read more

I reached out to Mark after my 2014 Corvette was hit by another vehicle while it was parked. The other person's insurance company denied my diminished value claim TWICE. Mark was fantastic, and gave me the tools and information I needed to pursue the claim against the other insurance company.... that ended up being over $6,000 in diminished value alone, and a $13,000+ claim total. I was lucky enough to have Mark recommended to me by a friend who is a professional in the insurance industry, and I would have been lost without the help Mark gave me. Mark helped me understand the process, told me the things I needed to do to battle the insurance company, and gave me estimates on the diminished value of my vehicle... all of which were crucial in reaching a settlement. I would absolutely use Mark again (which hopefully I won't need to), and would recommend him to anyone being manhandled by another insurance company after an incident. Thanks Mark! read more

Left two voicemails for Mark and emailed, never heard back from him. Someone from his office got back to me, but was not able to explain to me the process or how it works other than repeating how Mark's expert eye can help assess the diminished value. read more

Run far away from this company! My husband and I were looking for a depreciation value assessment for our car after an accident. They told us that they could help us, ran the assessment, then slammed us with a $425 bill. Never once in all of the communication did they mention any price estimate, or we certainly would have looked elsewhere. Very sketchy business. read more

I've used this company a couple of times with good luck. Mark was quick, efficient and professional. He helped locate evidence under the bumper skin on a vehicle indicating a substantial impact had occurred, when the at fault driver was denying he rear-ended my client's vehicle. The end result was a jury verdict in my client's favor for a fair sum. In another case, Mark tore down the front end of a car, again locating substantial impact damage in a case where an insurer was claiming a "low impact" that couldn't possibly have injured my client. The end result was a reasonable settlement for my client. read more

I've purchased and sold numerous cars. I purchased this particular vehicle for an investment after I had thoroughly inspected it. Nevertheless, something just didn't seem right. The vehicle had been advertised as an accident free, low mileage vehicle. I took the vehicle to a repair shop that does work on my other vehicles. After lifting it on a hoist we saw some things but really nothing suspicious. The owner of the shop recommended I contact Mark Olson. I did so. Mark was very professional and I made an appointment to have the vehicle inspected. The inspection was very thorough and methodical. Mark soon discovered that some spot welds didn't look factory. He removed areas of weather stripping that revealed more after market welds. Soon he had a bore scope out asking if he could remove some interior trim. He soon discovered that the entire top of the car had been removed and replaced with a donor top! The only visual evidence the fraudsters left exposed was 4 non-factory spot welds. Mark composed a complete presentation including video of the cuts and rewelds of the A, B, and C pillars of the fraudulently replaced top. Mark also included evidence from the vehicle manufacturer that stated the replacement procedure used by the crooks rendered the vehicle highly dangerous in a collision. When Mark presented this evidence during arbitration the defendant chose to settle. With all my experience with automobiles of all types I never thought I would ever be in a situation where I could've been defrauded. The crooks were good, very good. Mark was better, a whole lot better. If you need the best, Mark Olson will deliver. read more
