CAN I PLEASE GIVE 10 STARS? Thank you Mark! What can I say other than I am so incredibly thankful, and completely floored by the results. I am writing this completely of my own volition, and because I simply don't know how else to express how happy I am that I was recommended to this company and Mark for my insurance valuation issue. To give background: I am a Volvo enthusiast. Specifically, I have driven ONLY 1980s 240 Volvos for the last twenty-two years. In February of this year, my 1986 manual station wagon was hit and totaled while she was parked. The insurance company offered me a ridiculous ($1500) amount based on a large-company valuation that had no actual bearing on actual value of my vehicle, its rarity (she was a stick-shift), or the work I had done in upkeep (over $4k in the last year and a half). Because my car was so 'old' - I had no recourse for Blue Book valuation - although I know the classic 240DL Volvo market and what it would cost me to replace my beloved vehicle. They told us that they could help us, ran the assessment, then slammed us with a $425 bill. I've used this company a couple of times with good luck. Mark was quick, efficient and professional. He helped locate evidence under the bumper skin on a vehicle indicating a substantial impact had occurred, when the at fault driver was denying he rear-ended my client's vehicle. The end result was a jury verdict in my client's favor for a fair sum. In another case, Mark tore down the front end of a car, again locating substantial impact damage in a case where an insurer was claiming a "low impact" that couldn't possibly have injured my client. I've purchased and sold numerous cars. I purchased this particular vehicle for an investment after I had thoroughly inspected it. Nevertheless, something just didn't seem right. The vehicle had been advertised as an accident free, low mileage vehicle. I took the vehicle to a repair shop that does work on my other vehicles. After lifting it on a hoist we saw some things but really nothing suspicious. The owner of the shop recommended I contact Mark Olson. I did so. Mark was very professional and I made an appointment to have the vehicle inspected. The inspection was very thorough and methodical. Mark soon discovered that some spot welds didn't look factory. He removed areas of weather stripping that revealed more after market welds. Soon he had a bore scope out asking if he could remove some interior trim. He soon discovered that the entire top of the car had been removed and replaced with a donor top! The only visual evidence the fraudsters left exposed was 4 non-factory spot welds. Mark composed a complete presentation including video of the cuts and rewelds of the A, B, and C pillars of the fraudulently replaced top. Mark also included evidence from the vehicle manufacturer that stated the replacement procedure used by the crooks rendered the vehicle highly dangerous in a collision. When Mark presented this evidence during arbitration the defendant chose to settle. With all my experience with automobiles of all types I never thought I would ever be in a situation where I could've been defrauded. The crooks were good, very good.
