I am shocked that FG has such a low rating on here and am hoping to shed some light into how valuable this place has been to me and my family. Future Generation is the cream of the crop when it comes to childcare. They do everything in their power to make sure children are healthy, happy, and safe. Future Generation has been the leading daycare in the area throughout the pandemic by ensuring the strictest guidelines are followed so that our kids are kept safe. As a first-time parent, this has been such a challenging time, but I know that my daughter is not just safe when she's at school, she is also supported and loved by an incredible staff. Future Generation hosts so many fun events for children each week, as well as twice a week local business lunches that you can opt-in to. FG also supplies wipes and diapers which is AMAZING and two less things to think about when you're packing your child's bag for school. I have only had incredible encounters with each staff member and I know that they are continuously improving and training so that they can keep up with state curriculum and requirements to best serve the young learners at the childcare center. I noticed a lot of reviews mention how the space is cramped for children, but we have not witnessed any problem with this - in fact, the space is perfectly suited to then keep such a small teacher-kid ratio and a better view on kids. read more

I love future generations... Ms Lisa & Lynette are always there for me and my family. I'm a single mom and love that i can depend on this daycare for all my family's needs. I love the staff. They truly care about my child and enjoy what they do. Future Generations is one of the only schools in NJ still operating to be here for parents on the front line and essential workers of the covid-19 Epidemic. This daycare should not be operating. Go in there for a random check and see how dirty it is where your children are. One day when they are going on a field trip, go by and observe without them seeing you, they do not put the children in car seats!!!! When I questioned them on not putting my then 2 year old grandson in a car seat they actually said to me that they are not required by law to do so!!!! I have never heard anything so absurd in my life!!! Any time there was a field trip, we drove our grandson ourselves and met them there. I Thank God my grandson doses not have to go there anymore!!! On one of the field trips one of the so called teachers actually was observed by an outsider hitting a child and was reported, please find an alternative for your children, good luck. In response to Lynette Lynette, I'm not holding a grudge at all, I couldn't be more pleased that my grandson is out of there, a grudge, you did him a favor. By the way I wrote that review as a GRANDPARENT of a Child who went there NOT as the mother of a former employee!!! My son has been in this daycare since he was 1 and within a few months will be turning 3. I'm very happy to say that he has learned a lot being in this daycare. Everyday he comes home and surprises me with new things he has learned. Not just colors and numbers but expressions and when to use them. The staff is friendly, helpful and answer any questions you may have. Their communication is effective, whether it's through an app, email, or phone call which I appreciate very much. They work with you instead of against you with any issues you may have which as busy parents anyone can appreciate. I just wish there could be more space for the kids. Although they don't seem to mind where they are at and are happy which is Important. read more

When I first brought by daughter to the daycare, I was with my sister and we met with Lisa the program director. I work at 7am so this was the only daycare in the area that opened at 630am, which would allow me to get to work on time. Although the hours played a big part in me choosing this daycare, I also wanted to learn about the curriculum and different activities that they had to offer. Lisa then told us that she would not give us any information on the program until I paid the $750 deposit and fees because she didn't want to waste her time. My sister and I are both RNs and we definitely felt that she thought because we are two young black women that we did not have the money to afford it. Then she asked me if I had care for kids and was shocked when I told her that my salary is too high and I didn't need that type of assistance. Although I was extremely offended, I decided to go along because I had very limited options at that moment. The teachers are nice and because of covid they did not allow parents into the school so I never seen what the inside looked like. There is a parent teacher conference once a year which was very minimal in information about the curriculum, but my daughter is only 2 years old and my main focus was that she was able to interact with children her age since she is a covid baby and spent the first 2 years of her life at home. After that it was countless of terrible interactions with Lisa (the director). The one that stands out the most is that my daughter, who was not used to being in a structured environment such as school, would have tantrums at times. One day during pick up, instead of pulling me to the side to have a private conversation she decided to tell me in front of 2 other parents that my child was not "normal". She also stated that my daughter would "flap her hands" which we all know that is a sign of autism. I, my family, and her teachers at her center all said that they have never seen my daughter flap her hands. Lisa decided to lie and make up autistic symptoms on my poor baby. My 2 year old does have tantrums and did have a hard time transitioning so I decided to enroll her in early interventions. She had just made the cut to qualify but was not diagnosed as being autistic by her pediatrician (the doctor). Lisa decided to put that diagnosis on my child all on her own without any credentials to do so. I was extremely upset and I told Lisa that she should not do that to an innocent child. Being autistic is hard and falsely diagnosing someones child is just evil. So with the early interventions, my daughters therapist would have the sessions at the school. Come to find out that Lisa was talking badly about me to her therapist! There is no end to what this lady is capable of doing and for what? I have done absolutely nothing to her and she continued for 10 months to attack my character and try to find "problems" with my daughter. The only reason I stayed so long was because I was in a bind for childcare and had no choice to the point that I now have to rearrange my work schedule so that I could take my daughter out of there. The owner never approached me on the situation. She listened to every terrible thing Lisa said about me and wouldn't even speak to me when I would see her at pick up. When I spoke to her about everything Lisa was doing she said that I was tattle telling! I was reporting serious situations that was happening with my 2 year old and Lisa, a grown woman, and that was her response! The only way I can describe this establishment is ghetto and low class. They projected all their terrible traits on me and my daughter all because I am a young black woman holding her own. I have seen their interactions with the WHITE parents and it was totally different. They are racist and classless and I beg you to not enroll your child in this daycare. read more

The setting is cozy and intimate, but seemingly cramped for kids wanting and needing to move around. The centers are poor and although the place smelled good, it was heavy with disinfectant and small children crawling around. I witnessed a child hitting a teacher several times and an interview taking place offering a college educated and articulate young woman 8.38, the federal minimum wage, to create lesson plans and take care of our children, and only offer to raise the pay to 9.00 if the degree was shown. The children were being given tiny muffins as a snack after Nap. I'm sorry but for a parent paying a few hundred a week for dull time care, where is my thousand going?! Move along. read more

Worst place ever to take your kids. Horrible service when it comes to the bosses Lisa and Lynette. All they care about is taking your money!!! The teachers are terrible especially this one lady I witnessed in the infant room. I think her name was Dion. She was pulling a baby by one arm and seemed like she was just upset. I was blown away at how completely opposite this place was from what i have heard. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. I got a feeling like i was bringing my children to family's house and not school. Although my children have never been away from me, i feel confident that eventually they will get accustomed to going to school and having fun and so will I. My daughter has been at the day care since she was 1 and now my 5 month old son is also there. They are like an extended family and my daughter always comes home happy and usually doesn't want to leave. Every teacher has been amazing and Ms. Lisa and Ms. Lynette have been very helpful throughout the years. They are very understanding to each parents situation and work with you to ensure your child gets the best care possible. The infant room is super clean and the staff really cares for your baby. Ms. Amina and Ms. Desi class are so fun and my daughter has learned all her ABCs and numbers and much more. While more space would be nice, I like that it's not too large because kids are given more attention since classroom sizes are smaller than other locations. Highly recommend this daycare! read more

I cannot fathom how an interview process begins with sticking someone in a class without actually sitting down with the person prior and actually having an interview. You would not know if the person is even competent to perform job duties or if the person has a clean background. Very unprofessional process to start out in this manner. This review is for the bloomfield location I would not know if the other location differs. I would recommend you change the process as both employee and employer Im sure would have questions that can stop the interview without continuing further if lets say pay is too low for said employee. I'm a big believer in reviews and so feel the need to inform the public. If you are collecting tuition north of 1K per month for childcare your staff should be paid a fair wage if they have all necessary credentials. Now if you are hiring entry level inexperienced teachers then your tuition should be at a lower tier to reflect the substandard service as it is only fair for parents to get what they are paying for. Example I dont expect to pay a Rutgers University tuition rate for a community college. read more

My son has been here for a little over a year now and I could have not asked for a better group of people to care for him while my husband and I work..As first time parents we are learning as we go and if it wasn't for their knowledge and attention my husband might not have found out as early on as we did that our little boy was Autistic. The Administrators and Teachers have been with us every step of the way guiding us in the right direction, accommodating all of his therapies, And supporting our little family. I love them all and I'm so glad they are a part of our lives. read more
