My daughter went to TLE in Waldwick for a little over 3 years (from 15 months old until 4 years old). It was a rollercoaster of an experience for us so I wanted to share a very honest review and include both pros and cons for those of you looking for a daycare for your littles: PROS - Hours: Households with working parents will find the long hours at TLE extremely helpful - Food: Lunch is included with tuition and the quality/options are decent - Location: Very conveniently located in the heart of Waldwick with a large parking lot; interior space and playground are very roomy and well equipped - Cost: Very fairly priced compared to other daycares in the area - Ms Val (Toddlers) and Ms Claudia (Preppers): These 2 teachers happen to be exceptional there, and their care for and attention to the children is unmatched CONS - Staff: With the exception of Ms Val and Ms Claudia, the rest of the staff we encountered seemed unseasoned and unmotivated; pre-school in particular was a revolving door of teachers, one lazier than the next (MANY times my daughter came home saying she watched Curious George or other cartoons during the day for long periods of time) - Curriculum: As my daughter advanced there, it became increasingly clear that TLE is a daycare first and a learning center second; workbooks were repetitive and unstimulating, and again, screen time was waaaaaay overused (the TLE brand had a big marketing push over the last year, with a constant barrage of emails flooding my inbox to purchase gear or plushies for my child, and a branded cartoon called "Bubbles and Friends" quickly became a teacher substitute in the classrooms vs an occasional educational aid) - Communication: Many times, parents were notified at the last possible minute of things that were due to the daycare, what Learning Bag (ie, Show and Tell) items for the week were, etc; the app that they use was very rarely updated with important notifications in a timely manner, and sometimes entire days would go by without any photos posted - Nepotism: The 4 main leads/directors at this location are sisters, so if you ever need to escalate a situation, it's useless unless you dig and find out the names of folks at corporate (which I had to do a few times--the corporate people I spoke to though were always helpful once you could connect with them); additionally, I never once met/saw the owner, LynnAnn, in our 3 years there, which I found very odd So, all in all, decent daycare, but once your child requires more than a babysitter, I would not recommend TLE. read more

UPDATE: A parent I know just called me and told me the Teacher who was the one who was HIGH on DRUGS is calling people telling them this isn't true and for people to write good reviews I HAVE PHOTOS AND VIDEOS from this incident from my phone and home cameras PLUS a text message from her saying how sorry she was ... I am MORE THAN HAPPY to share these just message me! ***They haven't had a review in YEARS (take a look at the dates it's true) .. So I'm sure they will now get some positive reviews from their friends & to be honest it doesn't faze me .. as long as PARENTS know the TRUTH on where they are sending their child*** I have been unsure of writing this review for well over a year. Years ago this school was great (I sent both of my children there) But this year I had to pull my youngest child out of that school. I had a problem there with a teacher who was on drugs (and STILL works there) .. she watched my children at our shore home (which is on the bay/water) while we were out she got HIGH on either heroin or prescription drugs (I STILL have videos and photos to prove this if this school DARES to argue).. we came home early thank GOD and my daughter who had access to our filled hot tub on our deck and the open bay ... my daughter could had fell in and died if we didn't get home when we did.. I noticed with this "teacher" when she feel off the chair holding my child I told her to go lay down (I didn't realize yet) then she put my daughter in the tub with her clothes ON with the water RUNNING... I stopped it quickly as I was getting her out of the tub she went to my little one who had a donut. She took the donut from her & began to smear it on her face. My little one began screaming & I ran to her. I asked her what did she take she began to slur her words and said "I just did a teaspoon" (so I'm believe it was heroin .. I even looked up videos on how people act and it was EXACT). then said her ex-boyfriend stopped by (but we checked our outside and inside cameras and no one showed up) then she quickly she passed out.. (again thank god we got home or my kids would be alone and her passed out) My oldest saw it all and scared the hell out of her. The girl told me the next day she was sorry that she had 8 shots of tequila (I don't even have tequila in the house & she did not smell of any alcohol) ANYWAY the school was aware of this and did NOTHING. Now ACADEMICALLY ... I just recently had my daughters new school teacher conference & she has made SUCH a progress in just 3 short months .. I was worried she might have had a learning disability it wasn't that at all it was because that school was a place to just play NOT LEARN. She did not learn ONE thing the last year she was there. The books they sent home of the children's work was never complete.. because they never did work with them. And the teachers are always swapping or getting pulled there & the classrooms have ZERO constancy or classroom management which makes the children out of control. Parents this place is a disaster .. so sad because they use to be so wonderful... & pulling my daughter was the BEST decision I could have made for her... please watch your children for their safety & learning... and most importantly NEVER let them watch ur children in your home! ***RESPONDING TO COMMENT BELOW*** ... this is beyond untrue ... when this incident happened the front desk WAS notified (the girl at the desk even told me how that teacher got similar at their past holiday party) .. they promised me they would keep her away from my daughter ... so we stayed stayed in the school because my daughter was comfortable & we've been going there for 7 years between both my kids ... there were 3 times I found her in the room with her and flipped out.. then one day my daughter was sitting in the front by the sick room when I picked her up bc this PERSON took her class outside to play (when it wasn't this teachers time to be in the playground) so my daughter was removed from playing with her friends & had to sit alone at the front desk. This teacher was then promoted to more responsibility in the school and I said I was not comfortable because she would see my daughter everyday and when I told Lynnann about it many months after she had NO IDEA of what happened ...... then Lynnann didn't return my calls or text messages but instead she pushed the responsibility of handling it to the girls in the front! Again, best decision because my daughter is now SAFE without me worrying and actually LEARNING read more

My son has been going to TLE Waldwick since he was less than a year old. The staff have always been friendly and helpful. They've always provided great feedback and seem to care about his learning and development. My son is now in the preschool classes; and as he has aged and advanced I see the real growth that the center is providing for him. They have an app that sends constant updates to your phone throughout the day. The updates will include what they eat, what they are doing, what they are learning, and will even include pictures of them throughout the day. I'm so happy they have the app, it's like a little peak into what they are doing throughout the day, even though I'm away at work. Any time I have questions or concerns I can bring it up with the management or his teachers and they are addressed quickly. The 2020 pandemic has changed the dynamic of drop off and parent/teacher interaction. But, the management in charge seems to have really stepped up. It's a pretty big school, but you can see that the management seems to know all the kids and the parents as well. They are friendly and helpful at drop-off/pickup. If I have a question they'll either help me out or connect me directly with the teacher. I've had fantastic experience here, my son seems to be learning more every day, and he always tells me what a great time he is having with his friends. read more

I'm a little ashamed my review has to be 1 Star. If it was up to me it would be ZERO. I'm the husband of a previous poster (Rosa F). So today they decided to send a legal letter alleging defamatory action by my wife towards them and demanding the review be taken down. You might as well start dictating an exact letter for me then too. No defamation was made. We shared our experience with your school, it's a shame it isn't up to your standards because your school wasn't up to ours. It was sub par and atrocious. My daughter's last year there was a waste of time with regards to personal growth and/or any education. This is a joke of a day care. Handle matters like an adult, assume responsibility, apologize and move forward. After my wife's post was made the teacher of topic started text messaging and reaching out to parents to please post positive yelp reviews because someone made an untrue bad review full of lies. (Before they deny this too, I have text messages to prove it.) My wife documented facts and true events which I also witnessed. After she reached out to the owner to voice her experience and concerns she was told it would be looked into and something would be done. Weeks went by and she text messaged and called the owner with no reply. Instead she sent her staff to tell my wife the employee was going to remain in a position of power that we weren't comfortable with. We were told days before school started and we moved my daughter. If this is their way of conduct then be warned now. Teachers were aware and no one reported this to the owner until we intervened and reported it to her personally ourselves. Had the owner handled this more professionally on a personal level instead of hiding behind her staff and waiting for the 12 hour to take action we would have probably let this go. The staff internalized this after we reported this event to them and they took matters into their own hands without notifying the owner. Fair warning to parents. And as far as TLE of Waldwick, if any more letters, phone calls, or if I hear from any other parent that what my wife reported is a lie I will release text messages from the person that you employ. Text messages of her apologizing for what she did. Along with this I have 6 other witnesses that saw this person slurring, eyes rolling to the back of her head, drooling, and falling out of a chair. She sat hunched over sleeping the whole ride home annihilated from whatever substance she took while caring for my daughters! My home is on the water with an open hot tub and neither child knew how to swim. God forbid something we're to happen. Push the envelope as far as you need because my replies will be of pictures of her as well documenting it all. I also have attorneys, many in fact. You're legal letter was comical, if only there was any validity to it. The review stays, and now with mine following it. read more

TLE Waldwick has been part of our family for 4+ years and we couldn't imagine our kids growing/learning/developing anywhere else. The app keeps us informed of what they are doing all day long and helps us have a glimpse into their day from afar! The facility is always clean and welcoming! I didn't realize how horrible our experience was until I moved my daughter out of their care... she got constantly sick and they kept trying to get their own nurse to persuade me that everything was okay. The children get coxsackie regularly. The little cute drawing they take home belong to a child who ever is willing to do them at the time. The staff is young inexperienced (exception of few, maybe 3), constantly changing... I can go on... but I'll stop. Please look for another place. read more

My daughter began the Learning Experience when she was my foster child. The teachers and the entire staff always treated her as if she was their own child. My daughter has been there for three years. The teachers are the best part about this place. I can not find a place where the teachers are more caring, responsible, and respectful. My 2 and half years old son had never been to daycare. Sending him to daycare was a big challenge for us. But, Ms. Danielle and Mr. Gordon made my son's transition to Daycare a smooth process. Within 3 months,he even learnt to speak & convey his feelings! What he loves the most is Ms.Danielle's cuddles & hugs :) Mr. Gordon has lion's share in imbibing mannerisms & etiquettes in my kid. I was immediately impressed by the professionalism of the teachers and security at this Learning Experience, because I went another one that was not as secure. The staff is friendly. The children learn at or above grade level. While my niece attended this school, the teachers noticed that she had a learning disability. The staff directed my sister to the appropriate services and now she is doing well in first grade. The teachers are extremely professional. Actually, the teachers go above and beyond. I went a fair and meet a parent who's children attended this Learning Experience. She told me that two of the teachers at this location saved her son's life. Her infant son was having silent seizures and the teachers advised her to take him to the doctors office. She was so thankful for the teachers' keen observations. She also told me that she was upset, because her husband was being transferred out of the area. She did not want to pull her children out of this Learning Experience. When I was looking into daycare for my potential foster child, the owner, LynnAnn was extremely accommodating and told me that she would work with me. All of the teachers have been professional. I would never wait even a day to write a bad review if I thought children's lives are in danger. Why would anyone wait months if any of it were true? If you are looking for a place that is more than just a daycare, the Waldwick Learning Experience is the best place to bring your child. I highly recommend this school. read more

Just a warning to all of the parents out there: Every positive review that you find online for this place is completely fake. Jeff and Lynnanne Miller make them up and post them under fake names. They pride themselves on being "spotless" and "neat freaks" when they are the complete opposite. They run this place horribly. It's a complete disaster. I honestly don't know how they have gotten through state inspections. I have heard so many horror stories from fellow parents. Just wanted to warn everyone, don't believe the positive reviews that you find on yahoo, or anywhere else. They are all lies, this place is the worst. read more

Having recently moved it was our first priority to find our child a pre k where she would settle in, make friends, learn and have a healthy routine and we are so happy with the way our child has responded to the class and teachers at the learning experience. There is an enthusiasm and eagerness to go to school that makes me believe we made the right choice for our child. read more

All three of my children have attended TLE and I have always felt they were in the best possible care. Aside from being very well cared for, they have learned so much more than I ever thought they would at this age. On a daily basis they have a variety of activities that engages the kids on a level where they are having fun but also learning. My kids know numerous words in sign language and Spanish, my kindergarteners entered K reading and my 4 year old can recite all of the continents; just a sample of what they have learned at TLE. read more

We absolutely love how loving the educators are and think that they have truly helped our children develop into a confident, compassionate, loving, and intelligent young people! This post above is obvioulsly from a parent who either did not get his way or had a child that could not co-exist with other children properly in the center. The learning experience is "spotless" and run in a very organized manner. I have not had one "incident" since I enrolled both of my children in the care of this Learning Experience. They have been involved in the most enriching childhood activties and have been extremely well care for by the teachers. Check it out for yourself! You will not be disappointed. My 19 month old son has been attending the TLE in Waldwick since August. He loves it! He has learned and grown so much in the last 9 months. His social and communication skills have improved greatly. He simply loves going to school! He has developed an interested in art since doing creative projects with his teachers. Ms. Jackie, Ms. Monique, Ms. Val, and Ms. Alexa take such good care of our son. As a first time parent, picking a day care was very stressful. We couldn't be happier with how our son has responded to the teachers and staff at TLE. We feel safe and confident in sending him there each day. When I pull into the parking lot each morning, he yells, "YAY!" I highly recommend TLE to anyone looking for a qualify day care. read more

We are having a wonderful experience at The Learning Experience and we are so happy we are part of this family! My daughter was struggling in kindergarten so we enrolled her in the enrichment program after numerous recommendations. We were not disappointed. From the moment we walked in I knew that this is were she belonged. The warm, friendly staff made her feel right at home and couldn't have been more welcoming. The teachers are outstanding. They teach in a way that is fun for a 5 year old, I saw a difference in her within a week. She is thriving there! Also, there is plenty of playtime and outside time and I can even see her socialization skills getting stronger, the teacher and staff truly care. They do fun things like cooking, karate, dance parties and science experiments. Also the place is spotless, I was really impressed with the cleanliness, you can tell that the owners take pride in their school. I would recommend this school to anyone, I only wish my daughter could go to first grade there! read more
