It doesn't feel cold and sterile either though; it's actually quite cozy and inviting. I find the reception staff here to be very friendly and personal, and the doctors were also friendly and understanding too. My sister took her daughter here, and she agrees that the doctors are very helpful and hold excellent bedside manners (especially with the children). This place isn't bulk billing, however a Medicare rebate is available and health care cardholders receive a discount.

Some years ago my husband urgently needed stitches on his head on a Sunday night, Doctor Vincent stitched his head injury up beautifully on the spot with no drama, and the nurse was great too. Ever since we have been grateful to Dr Vincent Frank. I took him there because once at a hopspital when my son needed stitches; we waited so long the injury could not be stitched, as his skin shrank away because he had to wait in emergency so long. We haven't had a single bad experience there ever, we have found all staff very respectful. Our son still drives from Doncaster to attend Brice Ave Superclinic.

Apparently the poor little thing had been there since 1pm (whimper, whimper) and wasn't going to allow himself to be overworked. Where is the duty of care?? He doesn't deserve a job!

The content was nauseating and it was SO LOUD. So, great service but an uncomfortable waiting room atmosphere.

I have seen 4 of the 6 Doctors working at the practice over the years and they all have a great understanding of my personal and family history. The practice itself is modern and located on a main road with ample parking. There is also a kids area with a flat screen TV that plays separate cartoons for the kids to pass time in the waiting room.

His fingers had all snapped and the bones had moved down and were sitting between his knuckles. Safe to say there was blood everywhere, his hands were a mess and I nearly fainted! (Never mind my Dad...) We raced him into Emergency and waited about an hour to get seen as more urgent emergency patients came in before us and while we waited. The staff were really good at keeping patients calm and it was obvious that they were doing their absolute best. They eventually took Dad into a room and re-set his fingers and gave him a heap of stitches. He emerged an hour or so later with a little finger cast on each finger that would hold each in place. The whole experience was pretty fast considering normal waiting times in emergency rooms and we were quite impressed. There was another time when he slit just one finger open and he was left in the waiting room for eight hours. (That was at a different hospital, but you can see now why we love the Angliss just that little bit more as a result.) The staff were great and they even gave me some water because I looked so pale with shock. They really turned quite a scary experience into something that was okay.

Yet, when I think about it, waiting for four hours and paying nothing for the consult, as opposed to having to go into debt just to pay for a simply consult with a specialist, I guess I'll basically choose the first option, namely because it means I have money to spend on other things, such as going to Thai Restaurants. Still, this place was pretty good, though another problem is that doctors do seem to contradict each other, and of course, with the whole handwriting thing, I suspect that doctors aren't able to read each others, though I do suspect that many of the younger doctors end up here, because the more experienced ones end up in private practice.

If you come in for emergency at any point day or night expect a long wait. Patients are treated by urgency so you will never have a exact time you will be seen. On nights there is usually only one doctor for the entire night so waits will usually be 6-7 hour or more. This is a world class hospital though and the doctors are very qualified, there just unfortunately needs to be more of them made available.
