I've lived in one of their apartments for almost a year and haven't had any major issues that weren't addressed. I do sometimes have issues reaching the office if I need to speak to someone directly. Maintenance requests are handled through their app and are easy to request. It's a bummer they are raising my rent $75 next month but I would still recommend them. read more

I arrived at 4:04 PM for a confirmed appointment and sat outside the property waiting. I called multiple times, sent a photo proving I was there, and left work early to accommodate this showing. No one showed up. No one responded. That is completely unacceptable and extremely unprofessional. I would give a negative star rating if that were possible. To make it worse, after I had already gone home, I received a text asking me to fill out an application. Why would I ever fill out an application for a townhouse I was never shown and have never seen? This was a total waste of my time and shows a serious lack of professionalism and respect. read more

please do not rent from fvp. especially on 825 or 827 west jefferson street joliet illinois. roach & rat infested. maintenance half ass fix things around the house. the garbage can out back always over-flows, there is no where to park if you live there. visitors and neighbors always take your parking space. there are people inside the building that aren't tenants who smoke illegal drugs right outside your door. furthermore, if your lights go out there is no way to get to the fuse box. the tenant in the basement barricades the door, so you will be out of power for like 10-24 hours. youre better off staying in a motel or hotel until you find your desired home or apartment. read more

Horrible customer service and communication skills. It takes weeks to get a return phone call when requesting answers to simple questions. Property manager needs to stop assuming they know exactly what a tenants personal bank account is doing or not doing. The admin secretary has a short fuse and chooses to have an attitude and yell at tenants instead of talking like an adult to resolve basic questions. No tenant should be yelled at by an employee of Future Visions ever. I lived at 419 e Galena Blvd, apartment complex in Aurora, Illinois. When I first moved in the building was beautiful, inside and out. The property was well taken care of and the building manager lived on the property. He was very tentative. This was before Futurevision took over... They immediately fired the building manager and replaced him with a bum. The manager was absent and impossible to reach. His superiors were aware of this and did nothing. Somehow he managed to hold onto that job for a couple years before the found someone even worse to replace him. The new guy Luise has severe anger issues and really is just SOMETHING ELSE... In the end they tried to raise my rent like 35%. I tried to get a hold of someone to discuss why. I wrote a lengthy email to Matt, the manager at the office. I never got a response. Shortly after, they posted a notice that we now have to pay for an appointment to speak with someone in the office.. huh?.. Pretty unbelievable, huh? Check it out yourself. I can write a book on the nightmare that is Futurevision. One good thing to say, though, is I did get my full security deposit back in a timely fashion. read more

Been without electricity for almost 30 days. Com-Ed confirmed it is NOT their electric issue. I was told to "wiggle" the circuit breaker when the power goes out (AKA risk myself for electric shock). Future Vision downright refuses to provide a viable solution. I have loss days of work, a plethora of food, and HORRIBLE sleepless nights due to my air conditioner not working (because I have no electricity)averaging 86 degrees. I would NEVER recommend this property management company, not even to my worst enemy. read more

Tim is the BEST property manager. I've had others and they don't compare. He treats the property as if it was his own. He always gets my house rented in a matter of days. If there are issues with the tenant, he goes to the house. Whenever I email he always responds in a timely manner. He takes my calls and walks through options with me. He sets the bar. His prices are fair. The customer service he provides exceeds anything I've ever experienced. I've been with them since 2014 and I still have the same opinion. read more

If I could leave a zero stars I would. Unresponsive unless they want something, downright rude, will not return your security deposit and will break the law. This company returned a meager portion of the security deposit over 45 days late and with no receipts (breaking the law). They used my money for carpet cleaning, cleaning the house and repairs. If I knew it costs $1,400 to repair holes in the wall I would have been a painter instead of a lawyer! Prior to moving into the house, we told Matt (the property manager) that it smelled like cat piss. We noted this information on our move-in form. In fact, even the owner of the house admitted that it smelled like cat piss. However, we were charged for carpet cleaning upon moving out. Matt then alleged that it's in our lease to have the carpet cleaned which it wasn't. I checked. We were also charged for repairing a dishwasher which was a lemon from the day we moved in and $200 for cleaning a 3 bedroom house which I cleaned prior to leaving. Matt will not call you back unless he needs something or you threaten legal action. None of the phone numbers for the company actually work or they just forward to Matt's phone. If you have so many locations, why is there only one guy and a secretary working there? The whole company is set up to seem like a large property management firm with a lot of locations but it's actually a misrepresentation as to the actual company size as their location is some dingy office in the middle of nowhere. Also, if you ever do see Matt, don't be surprised to see him screaming his lungs out over the phone in his car. So unprofessional! read more

Had to threaten legal action to get them to fix a ceiling that had fallen down (thankfully I wasn't home, or I would have breathed in insulation and sued for damages). Took him OVER A MONTH, and rescheduling (because of him, of course) THREE TIMES for someone to come out and fix it... and they didn't install the overhead light back onto the ceiling at ALL. Accidentally overpaid a month of rent and it took him 26 DAYS to send out money that was not legally his. I have an email chain going back and forth with him that I had to say THREE SEPARATE times that the check was to only be made out to one of the tenants. They wrote the check wrong once, to a tenant that didn't even LIVE THERE (seriously). They took $200 of the security deposit because the place wasn't "clean enough", but never called either tenant to schedule a walkthrough. Rent somewhere else. Matt doesn't ever answer his phone, and it takes threatening a lawyer for anything to get fixed, halfway. read more

Tim goes out of his way to take care of so many details he could very easily just say are too hard and hire someone. He just cleaned and salted a doorstep where a gutter had overflowed with heavy snow... he has worked with Crest Hill city on numerous concerns... and he is just awesome with interacting with tenants and their needs... Hi my name is Nina! I am not happy with this company at all starting with my property manager I have so many unanswered work orders since I moved into the house in July for starters today was the last straw my property manager or owner of the house who I've never met decided to dig a drainage ditch in my yard didn't tell me anything I wake up to the fire department banging on my door because they hit a gas pipe the fire department tells me that it's not safe for me and my child to stay in the house tonight and I have to find somewhere else to go the property manager matt decides to not answer the phone or get back to anybody's text messages or phone calls meanwhile it takes NICOR gas company three hours to get to my house that now has a whole entire block smelling of gas this is so unprofessional if I'm not mistaken it is the landlord or property managers job to make sure my family has somewhere else to go during an event like this especially an event that nobody told me they were working on my house where I pay rent that every month faithfully then not even that does not answer phone calls or text messages I pay for a two car garage that I have no key to get into as well my furnace just got fixed about a month ago that was completely broken when I moved into the house I do not recommend renting any units from this company they are rude and unprofessional! DO NOT RENT FROM THESE GUYS!!! Filled out a application for a place onine and paid the fee and notified the broker Matt who didn't return my calls, texts, or voicemails and when i did speak to him he kept telling me he'll get back to me. A week later I got ahold of the secretary of all people who gave me a copy of my tenant screening report and it had another guy's criminal and credit history instead of mine. When I got ahold of Matt, he answered when i called from a different number,he said that even though he has my ID with my actual name on it that i could of changed my identity and could of "theoretically" been the guy who's criminal history was on the report. They didnt even use my middle initial it just said they searched my name in general on the report, like their aren't other Patrick White's in the world, Just crazy huh!? DO NOT RENT FROM THIS COMPANY!! I'm suprised their are no other negative reviews on these guys besides mine and Jenny's. We had a small mouse problem, after contacting the landlord he came and gave us traps to set out. The traps did not work and it then turned into a small mouse infestation. I called the landlord and he answered right away and said that he would contact the owner of the house to have them pay for a terminator to come and take care of the mice issue for good. We were contacted the next day by the terminators and were able to set up an appointment the same week. They were quick and proactive to solve this issue. read more

Never rent from these slumlords!!!! They never fix anything that not working. In the place I'm renting from them right now, their is no insulation in the house and it was freezing in here. I have 4 kids that live here. Tub is peeling from a terrible job of trying to paint it and it's plugging up the tub so we can't take a bath. And it gets better, there are snakes in our basement where 2 of my boys are. They won't even take care of that. Their maintenance man said the snakes are good to have around, they eat bugs. The stairs in the house are uneven and I fell down the stairs with major injuries. They didn't even see if I was okay nor did they come out to see what could be fixed. I have pictures of everything. DO NOT RENT FROM THESE SLUMLORDS!!!!! I would also like to add that I am a certified electrical inspector and this place is a violation waiting to catch fire. Do NOT rent from this company! They lie about the condition of the houses, ignore repair requests, and conduct shady business. We were asked to move out early to accommodate a new tenant. Upon final walk through with Matt we were told the property was being left in better condition that when we moved in and that our full deposit refund would be in the mail the next day. Well, 30+ days later, we received a lesser amount with deductions taken for things we would have done ourselves if we had not been rushed out the door to accommodate the new tenant. Further, our basement flooded 2 months after we moved in. It took them 4 days to get the wet carpet out of the house and they just stacked it in the garage for weeks. It stunk!!!! They took the carpet and "had it cleaned" and insisted it was reinstalled. Not healthy for our children. This company only cares about making money and will never do what is right for their tenants. read more

Multiple repair requests have gone ignored for months, detailed financial and personal information of another family renting from them was told to us as gossip by the broker, they have tried to force fees on us that are not listed on our lease, we have received harassing texts and voicemails demanding payment before our due date listed in our lease, the police have been called when their broker was rifling through our USPS mailbox and banging on our door terrifying our children in an alerted state. We never signed with them- the contact was assigned to them by our out of state landlord. Completely unprofessional, does not return phone calls, and ignores maintenance requests,. There are complaints listed with the bbb and against the broker. The only listed addresses we can find for certified mail are a po box and a run down apartment building in joliet.
