I first stepped into fuzion back when it was on upper state back in 2008. During that time I was introduced to Pete and Box, very shortly after o relocated to Portland. Over the years when I have come back to visit the area, I make it a point to always stop into fuzion, and am always greeted with smiles and hugs from Box and Pete whether I spend money or not. Over the years I have bought about 5-6 pieces from them, and all of these pieces have stood the test of time. Here are my most recent purchases (December 2024). Santa Barbara changes a lot, especially for a local who left in 2008, but fuzion still makes it feel like home. Ok. No BS here. Boro collector since 2008. Lunchbox is the absolute coolest dude ever and hooked me up with my dream US Tubes 9mm beaker. They fought to get the exact custom specs that I ordered and I couldn't ask for anything more! Shop with confidence, they have an amazing selection, not to mention tons of experience being collectors themselves. I've been there only once in person and the atmosphere is completely out of this world. And that was years ago before they remodeled. Even if you don't want to buy something, I would recommend just going to check it out, as they have plenty of swag upstairs too. The downstairs section is jaw dropping with artists like Freeek, Eusheen, Crunklestein, Darby, etc etc. They have super duper high-end as well as scientific and I believe some cheaper stuff too. Fuzion, partnered up with Akomplice, is a glass art gallery with a clothing store. The art gallery is downstairs, while the clothing and accessories are located on the main floor. The guys here are super duper nice, and let you mosey around and check out their goods. They have lovely men's hats, hoodies, shirts, as well as sneakers. The art gallery downstairs features collaborations, tubes, vaporizers, jewelry, dishes, and domes that are available for purchase. I have a US Tubes water bong that I LOVE and hold close to my heart. Although I have so many other bongs this one is just the perfect hit. As an ethical/human rights concerned consumer I presented him with specific questions about Akomplice's approach to fashion. He proudly shared many examples of their collaborations and not-only-for-profit business model. I felt satisfied my money was going to the betterment of the less fortunate in various parts of the world. And, I added to my wardrobe some unique and artistic shirts. Fuzion is one of the most unique stores I have ever been in. It doubles as a glass showroom and a clothing store, carrying cool items in both categories. The staff is extremely friendly and knowledge. One of the workers spent at least twenty minutes with my friends and I, just showing us his favorite things around the store. Bought my first bong here, brand name US tubes, years ago when I lived in Isla Vista. Staff is absolutely fantastic, and the shop sells the top of the top glass pieces, bongs, etc.. The U.S. Tubes I bought was slightly unbalanced, so instead of the 450 price tag, the staff member gave it to me for 135 dollars. It wobbles when you set it down ever so SLIGHTLY, but since it wasn't perfect, they gave me that amazing discount, and also let me know that U.S. Tubes almost never messes up a bong like that (most of their work is perfect). This was all years ago... When I was 18, and I'm 22 now... So I don't remember staff name, but I remember how courteous they were.... Which you don't find in headshops very often. Going to try to make it back up there for their Black Friday specials on glass and clothing... But it's a 2 hour drive from Orange County I truly hope they set up shop down here, because I don't know a single store that would be able to keep up with them. Only place I need to go for glass in Santa Barbara. The Akomplice gear is top notch, and the gallery downstairs is always progressing, with a wide selection of scientific glass and some beautiful heady pieces. The art shows are killer and help support the local art scene here in SB. Definitely the place to go if you are looking for some quality glass from a legitimate, knowledgeable staff.
