I've been going this store for multiple years when I'm in town. The clothing is way overpriced boho fast fashion, but I figured it was worth a look. I also knew a lot of people had bad experiences there. Last visit I went by on bike. I couldn't find a bike rack anywhere near the store. I asked the owner if I could bring it inside. She immediately shouted no and launched into a speech about all her stuff in her store. She told me I could leave my bike propped against a tree out front. This is terrible advice. Anyone in Santa Barbara knows you leave a bike- ANY bike, much less an expensive bike leaning aguante something, that bike is no longer yours. Totally fine if she doesn't want the bike in her spacious store. She could suggest the closest bike RACK so the bike could be locked. Lots of people bike in SB so I'm sure I wasn't the only one needing a little direction to park and shop. Her rude attitude and irresponsible advice- plus ridiculous prices, no thanks!! Will never come back here. Tons of super rad boho stores like Dylan Star and Sirena with nice staff to spend at instead. read more

This store is amazing! My wife absolutely loves all the cute clothes and the men's section has everything you need from casual to dress. The jewelry is beautiful (I've gotten my wife some incredible pieces), great hat selection,, and tons of gift options for friends. Both Erica and Oakley are super helpful and offer honest suggestions on styles and what looks good. Seriously one of my favorite stores in SB! Feels good to shop local! read more

I love shopping at the Lotus Boutique. There's something new every time I come in. You can walk out with a brand new outfit head-to-toe feeling absolutely beautiful. Hats, blouses, dresses, lots of denim, undergarments and bathing suits, and shoes. You're new outfit will make you the best dressed at a beachside shindig, a boho pool party, a western wedding, a Santa Barbara vacation... you name it! Don't forget there's a men's side too, your man will be looking hot af in his Santa Barbara style clothing. They have super sick boots, flannels, button ups, band tees for the men too. Not only clothing, there's beautiful handmade jewelry by the lovely owner Erica. I have a labradorite teardrop necklace and a beaded labradorite choker that she made. I wear both every day, and actually rarely take them off lol The choker was a bit to long so she personally fit it to my neck perfectly. The staff is always super fun, helpful, and welcoming. Oakley is always a great help and offers great garment suggestions. I always seem to buy what she recommends on me! I live this place, classy high end style with an old soul vibe. Just expanded into men's wear very legit. Great selection of unique vintage prints. Highest quality. Love this store- the vibe is so cozy & full of denim and crystals in an old video shop- there are crystals from everywhere that really energize the store. Sweet colorful clothes and basics, like soft Supima shirts from Ace Rivington. Very fun boutique. read more

I parked downtown last week to drop my tweens off at the Paseo Nuevo Shopping Center. As I was walking back to my parking spot I noticed a store on the corner " Lotus Boutique ." I walked in and was very surprised at what a cool store it was. Beautiful handmade goods, embroidered jean jackets, handmade leather goods, beautiful ( not lame ) dresses, and best of all a whole section dedicated to MEN! I bought my husband some handsome, handmade leather flip- flops, a buttery soft sweater and some fun, sexy underwear. I added a local chocolate bar and a fun card and the sweet sales person wrapped it all up nice and snazzy for me. I have visited the boutique a few times now and I love all my purchases. Erica the owner has always been very kind to me. She is extremely passionate about having high quality, fine goods and offering them to all the people of Santa Barbara. I absolutely LOVE this store. I've been wanting to come here forever but every time I walked by, it was off hours so they were always closed. Finally, today, it was open! They carry all organic locally produced clothing. They have such a cute kids section...and the jewelery! Erica makes it all by hand and its gorgeous! I kept seeing this necklace combo in the window that I was dying to try. Of course I fell in love with it but it was a little over my price range. Erica actually bargained with me to a price I could afford and I was able to get the necklaces! Not only that, but she said if anything ever broke or if I needed any adjustments on the length to just bring it in and she could fix it right there. This store reminds you of why its so important to shop locally. You are not only supporting someone whose right in front of you, but you just can't beat the experience and customer service. True the store has some lovely items but due to the owners customer UNfriendly policies I have black marked, and recommend you to do too , this establishment. There are plenty of other local shops in Santa Barbara offering similar if not better merchandise with shop owners who take responsibility for their own errors in judgement instead of pushing it onto the customer. In a nutshell the American saying "the customer is right" does not apply here. BE WARE!!! read more
