I can't say enough about the staff at both locations as they have been so good. I can honestly say that after such a short time and just a few visits the staff all know me by name and treat me like a friend more so than a customer - not the case after 30 some years of going to the same Dr. in Edmonton. The follow up, concern and level of service is rarely seen these days! I have recommended them to others who are now seeing these folks and all have had the same experiences. After having had my eyes checked I decided that I would get them to get my lenses updated in my prescription glasses because their prices where very competitive. The lady technician (Madelaine Kimmerly) doing the sizing and completing the specs on the glasses was very thorough and when my glasses arrived I was properly fitted and gave them a try. It turned out that the peripheral vision on these lenses was not what I expected and so I took them back and explained my concerns to Madelaine. She did more checks and ensured that she understood my concerns thoroughly. Then she said that she would send them back and get them right. Which she did. The glasses came back (at no cost to me) and they were absolutely perfect!! I was very impressed with Madelaine and her determination to make sure that the glasses were perfect for me, it is something that you don't expect but are very thankful for when you run into people that care about ensuring you are completely satisfied with the product they are providing. Service is mediocre at best, unprofessional at worst…read more The first time I made an appointment I specifically asked for an eye exam and a contact fitting appointment. I confirmed this, but when I came out of my eye exam I was told that the staff was too busy to fit my contacts, even though none of the three women were visibly busy, there were no other customers in the clinic and one was obviously on the phone laughing with a friend. I rebooked for two weeks later, came in ten minutes early and then waited for an hour. The lady at the counter made several comments regarding her coworkers being on lunch, which seems rather foolish given that there were several other people with appointments seated and milling around. When her coworkers finally showed, the people ahead of me were promptly served ....and then everyone who had come in after me. At least eight people who arrived after I had sat down were served and sent on their merry way; before I finally gave up and decided to ask for my prescription. I had intended to try somewhere in the city, but was thwarted even in that. Although I had just had an eye exam expressly for the purpose of contacts only fourteen day prior, apparently there was no prescription on file for me, nor would there be until I completed a 'class' on contacts use. The young lady at the counter offered to let me wait for a further undetermined amount of time, or rebook for a third time. I have been consistently underwhelmed. The staff are not impolite, but clearly their booking practices require an overhaul. I had been warned by friends to expect delays in service, but this was ridiculous.
