Unfortunately, Troendle and its manager, Mr. Barnes, failed on both counts. The project at my house was relatively small: replacing a tiled section with hardwood flooring to match the original hardwood in the rest of the room. Somehow, that simple job was completely botched. I won't even get into the saga with the subcontractor they initially sent, who damaged walls and trim in several places and left dents in my original hardwood floors. Here were the warning signs: * The project started more than a week late, and Mr. Barnes never bothered to communicate the delay. That should have been my first red flag. But hey, everyone deserves a second chance. * The hardwood was installed less than 36 hours after being delivered to my home--far too little time for proper acclimation. It seemed questionable. But hey, the subcontractor assured me he knew better. * The original, thick asphalt-like moisture barrier was replaced with simple rosin paper. Again, it seemed odd. But hey, the subcontractor assured me he knew better... again. I'll spare you the rest of the circus, but here we are a few months later. The section installed by Troendle has developed significant cupping and now looks like a taco holder. Strangely enough, the problem begins precisely at the very first plank installed by Troendle, while every original hardwood plank immediately adjacent to it--in the exact same room--remains perfectly flat. Mr. Barnes, who as per his sub-contractors and employees, has never spent a day working in construction himself or installed a hardwood floor, insists this isn't Troendle's responsibility but rather a problem with my house. That's an interesting theory, considering the "house problem" somehow respects the exact line where Troendle's installation begins. Unfortunately, Yelp doesn't allow me to upload photos with this review, but I'll certainly be including them on other review platforms. When a company provides poor workmanship, that's disappointing. When it refuses to take responsibility for obvious problems, that's far more telling. It also makes you wonder how many other customers experienced similar issues but simply chose not to leave a review. Most unhappy customers never do.

For a fully remodel kitchen and bathroom with hardwood cabinets, soft close draws, and Cambria quartz counter top I was quoted 19.5K from design to full install. Billy was the main representative I dealt with; he never tried to up-sale me, actually quite the opposite, was extremely knowledgeable, and truly made the whole experience smooth. Any concerns I had he quickly addressed or provided reassurance. If Billy was off Gary quickly filled in to help with what he could and was equally amazing. Ken, who works mainly in the back, builds the cabinets and also helped install my backsplash for an amazing price and workmanship. I have dealt with a lot of good companies, however I can truly say this one is in the top 1% for its professional, knowledge, and pricing.
