It had been 20+ years since I'd had an accident and the rules had certainly changed! Insurance, doctor visits, loss of work - everything is handled differently, and I was naïve about the process. Fortunately, I got a referral from a friend for legal help which led me to Attorney Christopher Weems' legal practice in Athens, GA. When I phoned Mr. Weems' office that afternoon, I was greeted by his friendly staff who invited me to come over right away. In my accident, the other driver hydroplaned in a rainstorm right into my vehicle traveling from the opposite direction. Tragically, that driver was killed in the accident.
