My wife and I recently booked a couples massage here and it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The massage area was serene, with soft lighting, calming scents, and tranquil music that immediately put us at ease. Amber and Michelle were our massage therapists that day. We had a 50 minute deep tissue massage. The girls were incredibly skilled, applying just the right amount of pressure to relieve tension while ensuring it was still a relaxing experience. They asked if we had any problem areas that required a little extra TLC. They tackled those problem areas with precision, leaving us feeling completely rejuvenated. It was clear they were experienced and genuinely cared about our comfort throughout the session. You can tip the therapist either cash or charge it to your card when you reconcile your bill at the end of your session. Minimum 18% tip. The spa amenities were equally impressive. The steam room and sauna provided the perfect pre-massage relaxation. The fitness room was huge with decent equipment and well maintained. The lounge and pool area was complete with plush seating with complimentary refreshments which includes coffee, teas, pineapple and tomato juice and water. There is a dedicated men's and women's section of course. There is a locker attendant that will assist you in getting your locker set up and will give you a robe and explain all the amenities offered there, thanks for hooking me up Angel and Manny. Reminder, the pool, gym and salon are the only common areas where men and women can congregate. (Outdoors too, but not in the winter) The overall cleanliness was a 3.5/5, but like anything else, it's the spa members that need to respect the rules and maintain some decency and civility. In other words, I don't care how much money you spend here, act like an adult you filthy animal! Sorry, had to vent. Overall, G-spa and salon exceeded our expectations. If I could give them a half star I would. I feel a 3.5 better suits the review. They gave this place a mini face lift since my last visit. New locks on the lockers and the nasty toilet seats have been changed. It looks and feels so much better. The showers are still a hot mess, broken shower handles and towel warmers that don't work. They shut the sauna off a little early yesterday and we had someone turn it back on but by the time it was up and running we had to go. They close at 6, it was 4. The pool area is still really in need of a deep clean. The baseboards are filled with dirt and possibly mold? Tons of dead bugs by the hot tub windows. For as pricey as this place is, it's really dirty when you look around. This wouldn't fly in a 5 star hotel anywhere else. Honestly ridiculous. So for any guy going with their wife or girlfriend just realize there may be a man getting undressed right next to them. Included in the day pass is a locker with a combo, a robe, slippers, a hottub with a waterfall in the locker room, a sauma, steam room, joint room with a pool and hot tub where you can order food and adult beverages from a nearby restaurant while you lounge by the pool. The GSpa is a 21+ full spa. It's nice because you can truly relax there. There's a men's locker room and a women's locker room. In the women's locker room there's a private hot tub with a waterfall feature that's super relaxing. There's a steam room and sauna as well. Fresh clean towels are always stocked. The main swimming pool is shared on the middle between men/women and I think hotel guests in the Fox Tower but I'm not sure about that. I think you have to get services at the GSpa to use the pool area or you can buy a pass as it's its entity and not owned by Foxwoods. The waiting area is serene as long as there's no group conversations going on. I had a massage and body scrub and wrap done. Both were fabulous. Previous visits I've gotten facials, pedicure and enjoyed all of those as well. The staff is very professional, friendly and nothing short of amazing. The waiting area has fresh fruits, coffee, teas, water and juices. If you want a relaxing day at the spa, I highly recommend the GSpa. read more

Came here for a ladies' spa day with four friends and had the best day! We all booked our services separately online, which was very simple. We checked in and were given a robe, sandals, and a locker to use for the day. I had a massage with Amber and it was one of the best massages I've had. I asked her to focus on my neck & shoulders, and she spent a lot of her time on those areas. She checked to see if her pressure was good and didn't talk much during the massage, which I really appreciate. After the massage, we spent about three hours relaxing by the pool/jacuzzi. The area was stocked with water, teas, fruit, & clean towels which you help yourself to. The jacuzzi was huge and in excellent condition and the pool was a nice temperature. There were plenty of lounge chairs and a couple of large round beds to relax on. We ordered a bottle of champagne and juices through room service which came within about 20 min. You can also order food through room service or California Pizza Kitchen. We opted for CPK, which was not the best choice. It took about two hours for our food to be delivered when they said it would take 45 min. That's not a reflection on the spa as it's a completely separate business, but be prepared for a food order to take a while. The only thing this spa is missing, in my opinion, is a larger relaxation area outside of the pool area. I would have loved a quiet spot with lounge chairs to lay and read that was not by the pool. I loved the option of soaking in the pool and/or hot tub, but just note that if you're getting a mani or pedi you have to wait a half hour for the Polish to set. Also the steam room is closed during covid for obvious reasons. Sauna is open. I decided to go here instead of the other Foxwoods spa because of the positive reviews and was glad I did. My partner and I both got pedicures and they didn't even rush her when she was late because she had to find a lost bag. Really excellent service. The showers were my only complaint- the conditioner was out in 3 of them (i know b/c I ran around trying to find some in the stalls) and the stalls felt a little grimy and dark. Dirty, unkept, overpriced. G spa My husband and I were very excited to on a whim get 2 appointments within the same time frame of each other last minute. We live in Litchfield, surrounded by some really incredible spas, and frequent them all over New England. After contacting a few other places closer to us with no luck (Friday) We had been to the G Spa a few years ago so figured we'd see if by chance there was availability. There was. We were excited for a nice day away from town and a day to relax. I had to find and ask a staff member for a robe but I didn't think anything about it, till the day went on. We changed and met in the pool/spa room to relax together. It wasn't very busy, yet there were 4 people total counting us.  Wet towels everywhere on empty chairs, empty cups, water bottles, glasses, Bloody Mary glasses, food plates. It just looked incredibly messy and dirty. I went to fill a water glass, no water was in the pitcher I had to go ask for it to be filled. When going out to the front desk the glass doors were absolutely filthy with finger prints as if they haven't been cleaned in weeks. The hour my husband and I sat in the pool room. No one came in to tidy it up at all, it looked Disheveled and dirty. My husband left for his treaty so I decided to go into the women's section to use the steam, sauna and spa area. Once again there were leftover cups placed around with no one in sight. I relaxed in the steam /sauna had a pineapple juice (there were very few left, not at all sure why there is tomato juice in the mini fridges?) I went back out to the pool area to cool off, it was still the same way it had been about 45 minutes prior, dirty cups, leftover snacks, wet towels, cups etc. there was a women also on her phone on speaker with it turned up loudly echoing throughout the pool area. Finally I saw one of the girls that was at the front desk come in with a younger gentleman and clean up, the pool area. I used the restrooms and noticed there was a cup on the floor that was there when I first arrived still that was sitting there for a hour. No toilet paper was in 2 stalls, so I found one that had some. I showered and went into my treatment. I had Amber, she was absolutely phenomenal, professional, and just saved the experience. After I went back out to change I used the restroom. The cup on the bathroom floor was still there, still no toilet paper, I changed the toilet papers at that point. Changed and got out of there just wanting to hydrate and get out. When I met my husband the first words out of his mouth were "what the hell was that, so gross" it was the same experience for him In the men's area, cups all over, no pineapple juice at all, messy. He had Amber and said she was great also. I had to ask for a plastic bag for my wet bathing suit, there was no face lotion also which every spa should have available in the changing rooms, (I saw scented, but not regular face lotion) there were also groups of people talking loudly in the changing rooms, bad spa etiquette that could be heard in the front 100%! In total with tip the day at G Spa was just under $400. That was NOT a $400 experience! AT ALL! You may ask why I didn't say anything then, it's because I was exhausted first of all, frustrated, and just wanted to get out of there to Get moving on our 1.5 hour trip home. I worked in hospitality for 20 plus years, there was never a time that I said "that's not my job" as a team you should bring a standard to your workplace. There was someone in the office I assume that was possibly the manager that didn't move the entire time we were there. I'm sending this email first to allow you to maybe change things there. G Spa is insane to be charging as much as they do for a dirty, not Up to date spa amenities. I felt like I was in a dollar store Spa. I'm honestly frustrated with myself for not saying anything yesterday now, It was not worth that mentally and money wise. No spa goer should be changing toilet paper, sitting in areas filled with wet towels, dirty cups, Bloody Mary cups with celery sitting out for a hour, garbage cans overflowing practically, and having to ask for items. read more

In the pool area you can order food to be delivered right to you.....nice!! I got a smoothie my husband ordered a salad. Perfect after a massage. Unfortunately a guy ended up coming in with his girlfriend when he saw us getting our food/smoothie, he yelled to the woman and asked her to bring him and his girlfriend a drink (Patron). He was already a loud kind of guy so after ordering his drink and having some, he got slightly louder. Then a pool boy was walking through and he bellowed at him from the jacuzzi and asked for a food menu. That's when I said to my husband, let's go. I visit this spa twice a year because I enjoy that it is 21+. The price has increased probably due to inflation. I had an hour massage for $180 before tip and tax and my friend had a facial for about the same price. The steam room was not working which limits the amenities and it was not working when I went back in August, so unsure why there is a delay in fixing that. I enjoy the ability to use the pool and jacuzzi before or after the service. You do have the ability to order food and enjoy by the indoor pool, my friend and I wait over an hour for a ham wrap and egg sandwich both cost $30 each after addition charges. I was doubled charged but told it happens often and would come off 24-48 hours. The hotel provides the food service but when I called with concern the spa looked into it and gave me a call back within an hour. The services were excellent! My masseuse was very knowledgeable on the body and releasing tension. I will definitely try to see her again. read more

Oh I LOVE it here. Firstly, it's a nice hotel and a new spa so everything is very CLEAN!! The set up is really nice the men's & women's areas are separate each side has a aromatherapy steam room, herbal sauna and hot tub. In the middle area there is a co-ed lap pool, workout room and a larger hot tub. There is a deck that can lay out at and lots of little place where you can sit and read and grab a quick nap before your appt. If you want to come and visit without an appt then the fee is $25 a day. I came in on my birthday to have an updo done for a wedding I was attending that evening. I showed the stylist the photo on the left. I told her I wanted my natural curls pulled back with a few around my face because I don't like my face without my curls. She started ripping apart curls damaging my hair and crushing my curls. She pulls a bunch of it back straight into a tight ponytail. Then tells me she will have to re-curl the front. I knew she realized she messed up. But then she does 3 barrel curls and mats it down! The BEST massage I've ever had!! I'm literally in love with this spa! I'm sure my experience has a lot to do with my therapist - Kathy. She is an incredible massage therapist! Friendly, professional and thorough! I called on a Thursday morning during a two day stay at Fox Tower after noticing the $99 special on an advertisement in the room. The special was for sunset or sunrise, 7am, 8am or 7pm, 8pm. I was hoping for a pm appt but they had no massage appts available. The regular price was $130. I figured oh well! I deserve a treat, so I booked a 2pm appt. and gave a credit card number to hold it. I arrived at 1:15pm. I was greeted and immediately taken back to meet the ladies locker room attendant. I told her I'd never been here and she asked if I'd like a tour. The decor is beautiful and relaxing. A large, inviting whirlpool is in a corner area with stairs and handrails. A waterfall feature lines the wall along with beautiful potted exotic flowers. A relaxing lounge area is along a back wall where I was asked to sit about 5 minutes prior to my massage appt. The lounge area overlooks a balcony with amazing views, lounge chairs and more exotic potted flowers. A small coffee and tea bar is also in this area. Pendant lights hang from the high ceiling. Canned juices and bottled water are in refrigerators in the whirlpool area. There's also a cold shower located in that area too. A vanity area with supplies should you need them is separated in an area where the bathroom stalls are located and a private dressing room. I was given a locker which contained a robe and shoes. I relaxed in the whirlpool until about ten till 2. Kathy greeted me at 2pm and brought me to the room. She asked if Swedish aromatherapy with medium pressure would be alright. She asked me to let her know if the pressure was too hard or soft. Everything was perfect! I felt completely relaxed when leaving the room (but didn't want it to end!) She told me I was welcome to hang out until closing at 9pm. I relaxed a bit more in the whirlpool and common spa pool area. An awesome experience from start to finish! I've enjoyed maybe 1000 things and said "I should start a yelp account" and as you can see, I never did. But The G Spa finally did it. I've been coming here for years. The peace and serenity of the locker rooms and the common pool make for a perfect date weekend as well as an amazing client appreciation gift. But I've been reluctant to share because it's my escape. That all changed when I suffered a major injury and the people of G Spa came together to help me make a dream come true. The long story short: The staff at G Spa is amazing. They helped me set up the dream proposal for my unsuspecting girlfriend. They heard the back story of how a surgery prevented me from the big proposal I planned and made it a point to make sure this one was perfect. For weeks I communicated with Leslie (GM) who helped coordinate the dropping and storage of supplies. The service practitioners (Highly recommend Jess & Krystian for massage and Lindsay for Hydrofacial) all were in on it as well and made sure my girlfriend was where I needed her to be. Above and beyond that, the entire staff chipped in to help decorate, fix the lights and clean because I was physically limited. The scene was straight out of a movie. They gave us full privacy, but they could not hide their genuine joy and I couldn't think of anybody I'd rather share it with. If you want perfect, then you want G SPA. From the bottom of my heart, I don't know how to thank such amazing kindness from Strangers but to all the amazing staff (especially Cheri & Leslie who stepped up as decorator extraordinaire): your kindness and generosity will never be forgotten. Spa, service, staff: 5 stars. I had to deduct a star: poolside menus outdated and seriously lacking healthy vegetarian options; actually healthy options period. It was more fast food than anything. I was handed a poolside menu from poolside staff. After scanning the menu inside out, I happily decided on grilled shrimp bruschetta. When I called using their poolside phone, I was told they no longer offer it and was directed to use the new menu. (there were no new menus), there was a pile of old/outdated menus in a basket by the phone. Their only offer: shrimp caesar salad. The kitchen does not make accommodations. I asked if they could grill shrimp and provide toasted bread, they said no...it's cold cocktail shrimp on a caesar salad, that's it. Cesar dressing and parmesan cheese is a waste of calories and fat for me...I'd rather drink them, which I did, but then I had to leave the spa to find a fresh option to help soak up all the champagne. I ended up finding grilled fish and shrimp (delicious) and then went back to the spa to lounge and nap. Their menu options were a complete bummer since my boyfriend and I spent the entire day there after a wonderful afternoon couples massage. Let's just start by saying this entire trip has been a debacle from the first second. I couldn't book all my treatments at the same spa, one of my treatments got bumped, it's a mess. So, I was here for my birthday, and made an appointment to get my hair done and then have a body scrub for soft skin. I've been to spas before, not a newbie. First of all, the description (attached, mountain laurel maize scrub) DOES NOT mention that it is a wet treatment. No one mentioned this at the desk, other than a suggestion to do my hair after (but we had dinner reservations after, and are staying at an off property hotel). I go in, see this massive Vichy shower, and am already apprehensive. I tell the therapist I have a full face of makeup on and dinner after, and we are not staying on the property, so this cannot be fixed. She says no problem, we have a face shield and a shower cap, no issues. Scrub goes fine, little pieces of cornmeal used as exfoliant, and then it's time for the shower. They tell me to lay flat on the table (instead of using the head rest so my head could be separated and elevated). The shower floods my hair, ruins it, wets my face. I'm immediately trying to get off the table to try and save my hair and makeup. The therapist exits, I jump off the table and towel off, my hair is soaked. I look like a wet dog, worse than I came in, at my birthday dinner. The MOD Heidi DID apologize and try to touch up my hair, and took the unfinished treatment off my bill, which is why they got two stars. read more

Each area was large enough that you weren't listening to other people's conversations. Manicure and pedicure were great and held up. Facial was outstanding. The front desk was a little unorganized, which made scheduling, getting questions asked, and navigating a little less smooth. But I know for next time. Food was the only real issue. Snacks were supposed to be provided, but we were told that the casino had run out. We were going to have food delivered, but with an hour wait time, we would have missed our services. It features separate men's and women's locker room areas each having showers, jacuzzi, sauna, steam room, and relaxation area. There is also a clean, decently stocked gym (free for hotel guests) and a hair salon. Spa services have always been good and worth the money. The focal point of the G-Spa is a co-ed pool and jacuzzi oasis. Typically the co-ed areas tend to be loud and obnoxious, but the G-Spa for some reason does not attract that. It has always been quiet and relaxing. The staff is very friendly and always available to help. Other amenities include free water, juice, and tea. Hungry? You can call to the restaurant and they will bring you a light plate. Adult thirsty? Wine, beer, and cocktails are also available to be delivered. My husband and I just recently (July) received services from the g spa as an annual anniversary trip. We booked this because we were so pleased with the services/ amenities from the year prior. Our services were fantastic this time and the staff in general were great. The amenities were very much lacking in cleanliness. The women's waiting area was visibly dirty- couch cushions, walls, curtains looked like they hadn't been cleaned in months. The part that really grossed me out with the plastic, moldy, shower curtain in the women's locker room. I don't generally leave negative reviews, however the price you pay for services does not match amenities. I did originally reach out to g spa via e-mail and written "suggestion box" note card and never heard back. I'm hoping they will take care of this so we (and our friends) will want to come back. read more

What was meant to be a little shoreline staycation (with the Foxwoods hotel as home base) was, quite literally, a washout due to the crappy weather. Plan b? Spa day! I didn't get any salon services but took advantage of the day pass, which gave access to the locker room, sauna, ladies spa and co-ed pool and hot tub. As a hotel guest, the day pass was only $15 which was WELL worth the minimal cost. The setup is great - the co-ed spa area overlooks the pool and sundeck (although the 50 degree weather and rain weren't exactly beckoning me outside) and I'd love to come back later in the summer. LOVED my 80 min massage! The G Spa is located in the Foxwoods tower so there's no need to worry about trekking around to find it. Leave your room. Step on to the elevator. Arrive at the spa level. Walk into bliss. *cue harp strings* He opted for the deep tissue (too painful for me) and I chose Swedish. Check in was a breeze and Leslie was extremely courteous and understanding of our 10 min tardiness. In the locker room (sorry no pics) there are 2 sides each with a large wall sized mirror and vanity that houses combs, shavers, and a blow dryer. The locker door is super easy to use (C, then code, then the key symbol). Once you're naked and robed the fun begins. My masseuse was Laura, she's also a personal trainer and her hands are magic. Start to finish she took her time and worked on every tight spot with gentle resilience. I barely felt it while it was happening but felt it all the next day. In a good way. After the massages we hung out by the pool and soaked in more relaxation as we waited for breakfast to arrive. I wish there were more lounge chairs closer together without tables between them we decided to move the table NBD. Love the variety for services, especially the Sunrise & Sunset $99 specials. Another favorite is the build your own package picking 3 services of your choice-highly recommend! Indoor pool & hot tub overlook a picture perfect & serene view. Poolside drinks are a must! The women's side of the spa also features full showers, sauna & steam room! Anything you could possibly need while there is provided for you (bathrobe, slippers, toiletries..) Spa services are top notch! This is my second time at this spa and I love it. The service is excellent. The atmosphere is very relaxed and inviting. It is the perfect place to go to unwind. Today I had the sat scrub with Vichy shower, massage and mini-facial. I feel refreshed and revived. The staff is very knowledgable and kind. The sauna, whirlpool and steam rooms are clean orderly and beautiful. There are lockers for all all of your belongings. The robe and slippers are comfy and fit all sizes. I am in love with the facility! The steam room is clean, FILLED with steam, and they have a Turkish shower right outside. The hot tub has a waterfall and you can order drinks or enjoy the provided cranberry or pineapple juice while you soak. I also like the co-Ed pool and outside seating area. While I would definitely come back for day use, I would definitely NOT come back for a treatment. The service providers seemed uneducated and lacked the finesse I expect when coming to a luxury spa. The esthetic products seemed cheap and filled with alcohol and they used a sponge that felt moderately abrasive to remove products! I thought it was unusual that they didn't have heat packs nor did they have blankets- instead they used a body towel from a hot cabbie. I also noticed none of the staff had actual uniforms and one service provider was walking around with no shoes. It seems like a high class spa shouldn't be overlooking these necessities. The relaxation area was cozy and big enough to accommodate all guests without feeling overcrowded. The downs were the snacks (pretzel, cheese cracker, wasabi soybean spicy medley and fruit) and the use of plastic cups - why not use paper? I also was given one of the Foxwoods promotional plastic water bottles after every treatment. This also seemed wasteful as I couldn't keep track of mine amongst all the others put down by other guests in the locker room. read more
