I got a facial here and when I say it was the worst facial I have ever gotten, I am not lying. For the majority of the time, she lightly was just touching my head, not only was it not relaxing but it was making my head extremely itchy and I am 90% sure she was on her phone during it. It wasn't relaxing, didn't feel good, maybe 5 mins of product use, and when done, I had a massive rats nest in my hair. This very dated hotel is in desperate need of an overhaul. The whole place is poorly thought out...A "spa" where the pool and gym don't open till 9:30 IF someone happens to get there on time? The pool closes at 5 pm? And this is a "resort"? Blaming Covid is a pretty lame excuse at this point. Why is it other facilities in the area are open and functioning fine? The rooms are dated. (The 70s called, they want their wallpaper back) The hotel's two restaurants close early, and should be put out of their misery. The grounds used to be special... Now, it doesn't even seem they try... Flowers don't cost much. The whole place seems to resemble one big warehouse, and you'll need to walk far from your room to reach the unfunctioning spa. It's sad, this is the kind of place I would like to like... It is best summed up by the couch in my hotel room... Split open at the seams, the stuffing coming out and it didn't occur to anyone to even try sew it. They have a hell of a nerve charging a "resort " fee. read more

I have visited this spa several times and was always happy until my visit on Thursday. I stored my things in the locked locker provided. I decided to relax by the pool after my massage and when I returned, all of my money was gone out of my wallet. When I reported this immediately, I was told there was nothing the spa could do and there was nothing that Foxwoods could do since there are no cameras in the locker room. It seems to me that a spa who consider themselves high-end would have keys for lockers instead of codes which can be seen by others along with much better security. They said the girl on the phone was wrong and they would talk to her but they STILL charged me an additional $60. Will NEVER return!!! Take my advice, go to another spa. My friends and I went to get an express massage at 8:30am. The lady who spoke to my friend on the phone was incredibly rude, and sounded like we were bothering her. When we got there, the place itself is very pretty and spacious. It had a temple feel to it, and everything was very clean and tidy. Again, it was 8:30am so nothing had been used up yet. Our massages were suppose to be 25min long; the women rushed us in, gave us a massage for 15 minutes, and we were out before 9am. And we still got charged full price. $80 (included tax and tip) was not worth a 15 minute massage. The women I had, however, was very strong and had knowledge about the body. The length of time was just not what is should have been. Kids were already swimming in the pool, so we skipped on that. Everyone looked like they did not want to be bothered. Was pretty nervous given the poor reviews, but I thought this spa made for a lovely afternoon! I got the indulgence package which included a massage, a facial, a pedicure and a hair style session. The massage was excellent - given it was only 30 minutes she really managed to get to all my problem areas in a good amount of time. The facial was also really good, very soothing and my face felt great afterwards. The hair style was fine - she did exactly what I was looking for. The only thing that fell short was the pedicure - it was a standard pedicure, but it was done in one of the back rooms and the chairs were uncomfortable. They should invest in massage chairs. She was also done in like 10 minutes, no real foot massage or anything. The quality was okay. The facility itself had everything I needed for the afternoon - hot tub, nice pool, sauna, steam room and nice sun deck so I could get some rays while reading. The only part that was a bit of a bummer was that in order to get food / a drink you have to call room service. Would make it easier if they had someone just coming around taking orders. Recently visited the Norwich Spa after snagging a Travelzoo deal for a massage and facial combo. The spa itself is spacious with locker rooms for changing into a robe and slippers provided by the spa and lockers where you can secure your belongings by choosing a passcode. There is a pool that has adult swim hours after a certain time which is nice if you want more of a relaxed environment. In terms of the services, I had a Swedish massage which was fine. Not the best one I've ever received and I wish there were offerings like aromatherapy and warmed oils. If any of this is available it was not offered to me. The best part of my time here was actually the facial. It was extremely relaxing and I walked away with a glowing hue, which I love. The service checking out was extremely slow and it dimmed the pleasant and relaxed mood I was in after my services. The spa charges you a fee upon check out, which they should tell you up front, so many people in front of me had tipped their therapists beforehand only to find out that that's included in the fee at the end. The women who did my massage and facial clearly articulated that to me, so I waited. Also, they could do a better job in the locker rooms, making sure the bathrooms are properly stocked with toilet paper; almost all the stalls were empty when getting dressed to exit. read more

This was maybe my 6th time at the spa. Honestly I'm going to book G spa next time. First of all between booking and checking in I wasn't impressed. I called to book and I wanted to hair & makeup done after my spa services. Well even after I asked why my hair was scheduled after my makeup the receptionist on the phone assured me that's how they would do it. No actually hair should have been before makeup. Upon trying to check in there was an unusually long wait. Finally I get the key card to go back. Well there was no locker room attendant because there wasn't one even scheduled. I had to help myself to an open locker and I didn't get shoes until my massage therapist tracked me down and gave me some which were the wrong size. It wasn't her job she's a massage therapist not a locker room attendant. I was late to each of my appointments because again there was no locker room attendant to tell me where to go!!!!! My massage therapist was amazing. My makeup was very heavy and my eyebrows looked very "drag queeny". My hair looked good but I couldn't wait to take all the Bobby pins out. For what I paid I would just do my own next time. I'm going to stick with the G spa from now on. The walk is annoying but the facility over there is newer and modern which I love. This place was just so relaxing and just wonderful!!! I went with me and 3 of my friends 9/25/2021 and I must say we all came out NOT WANTING THE MASSAGES TO BE OVER!!!! Very clean and the hot tub was amazing. They do provide slippers and robes and extra towels and face clothes showers are available to use before and after but definitely show up 30 minutes before you appointment time. This review should actually be closer to 3.5 stars, and this is definitely one of those days where I wish that was an option. The main staff is quite nice, very helpful, and willing to answer the most ridiculous of questions without making you feel like a complete idiot for asking (this was not my personal experience, I just witnessed this) They offer a pretty standard set of massages (aromatherapy, hot stone, deep tissue, swedish) as well as a number of wraps, facials, body scrubs, manis, pedis..... I went with three others for a girl's getaway and I have to say it seemed we all had widely different experiences. One woman wanted to take her masseuse home with her so he can continue to work out her knots, one had a very nice time and came out with enough info on her masseuse to write a biography, one woman had a "meh" time, but that may not have been any fault of the spas. I enjoyed most of my massage. I tend to be more interactive with my masseuse as far as communications, but this masseuse was pretty non verbal, so I felt i had to work for my massage, which is not very relaxing. Another issue I had with the place was the jacuzzis. They had these slants in the tile on the bottom of the tub which I am assuming were to keep from slippage, however it is quite easy to stub your toe or step on uncomfortable edges if you are not paying very close attention. Again, not very relaxing My 3rd and last issue was the lounge area. While this was not the area that you are in immediately prior to your treatment, it is not quite the lounge you woule expect. Yes they had a refrigerator stocked with juices and water, as well as a coffee machine and tea on hand. But they also had a TV, which I seldom see at spas, and wish to see even less. Also the only magazines they had on hand was AARP. And while Foxwoods does have the biggest bingo parlor in New England, that DOES not mean the only people that go there are the blue-haireds. But aside from those petty little irritants, it is a nice spa, with a beautful marble atrium style pool area with 2 hot tubs (clothing required) and a huge tanning/lounging area. The gender-specific areas offer more hot tubs (clothing optional) as well as saunas, steam rooms, showers, etc.... Overall I am not saying i wouldnt go again, I am just saying it would not be my first choice for a day spa. But if you are at Foxwoods anyway, I say go and pamper yourself. read more

I went to the Norwich Spa during my trip to Foxwoods. I had scheduled an appointment for the Down to Earth pedicure. Sophie at the reception desk was so sweet and helpful. I wanted to reschedule for the day before, they were able to accommodate this request. The ladies that did the pedicures were amazing. Right before the pedicure started they ask if you would like something to drink, we requested mimosas and they said that they don't do mimosas, then surprised me and my friend with the mimosas. Our overnight trip to Foxwoods was a surprise for my partner and I's anniversary - but the entire "Spa Experience" turned out to be an embarrassing and disastrous event. On Wednesday 2/21 I had called the Spa over the course of an hour 5x to schedule 2 Deep Tissue Duet Massages for my partner and I's anniversary (couples massage). After finally reaching someone on the fifth attempt, the reservation was set for Sunday 2/25. I received a confirmation email right away, but shame on me for not reading the fine print at the bottom of the email advising that the men's locker room facilities were not available. It would have been nice if the woman taking the reservation could have advised me of that over the phone as I would have made other arrangements. My partner and I were pretty disappointed when we checked in and they told us the situation with the locker rooms. The disappointment heightened when we entered into the locker room, and attendant seemed pretty upset that we disturbed him. He showed us the lockers, stepping over robes, towels and sandals strewn about the floor. When we changed he walked us down to the spa and we waited in the waiting room which was more like a waiting room for a dentist office. Promptly @ 1pm, our names were called separately from one another a few minutes apart. They did not book our anniversary massages together as requested, and they were not able to accommodate that request at that time and we were taken into separate rooms to enjoy our "couples" massage independently from one another. What a joke. The massage itself was fine for both of us, but the overall experience that we had w/ the Norwich Spa was less than desirable, and definitely not up to par for a massage of a $180 per person massage (after gratuity/fees). The spa itself is so outdated, dingy, and did not appear to be kept up with. The bathroom was dirty and after the massage I turned the lights up and looked around the massage room - again, I felt like I was in my dentists office. After leaving the massages I had hopes of enjoying the pool, but we were both completely put off by the entire experience, along with what appeared to a day care using the entire pool (Yes children are allowed before 6pm in the pool area) This was not a few children, there were easily 15-20+ children in the pool - not what you think of for a relaxing spa experience. I'd compare our experience to that of a massage purchased on Groupon for $29. The experience itself negated any of the benefits and enjoyment that the massage should have brought for both of us. Do yourself a favor and save yourself ALOT of money and don't make the same mistake that we did. I've been to many spas in my 51 years and have had massages at all of them but this one by far was the best. Mark was the masseuse I was given and thank god. I've had 3 cervical spine surgeries and always have spasms. He worked on my neck for 50 minutes and taught me how to work out the spasms on my own also. I've never felt more relaxed and I'm sure it's bc of mark. I'm having a facial and pedicure and hope they are both just as amazing. read more

Being a spa owner I can be very critical. After reading some of the reviews I was skeptical about booking my staff spa retreat weekend. First impressions are lasting impressions. I left a message for the spa director to call me to discuss customizing packages for 6 persons. I received a return call with in a hour. The entire staff from front to back went above and beyond to ensure that everyone had a wonderful experience. I want to say thank you for assisting me with make this a memorable event. My boyfriend bought me a massage for my birthday and he purchased a spa day pass for himself so we could make the day of it together. While my massage was nice, the facilities and service were very disappointing. We were not aware that the pool area is also used by the hotel guests, including children. Young kids overtook the pool and the hot tubs. There were signs posted no pool toys, no kids in the hot tubs, etc. but they were not enforced. There were only 6 or so lounge chairs and all were occupied. My boyfriend attempted to use the whirlpool in the men's room but there was a nude man in it which was uncomfortable. We did not find it relaxing so we left to spend some time in the casino and planned to return at 5 when the pool became adult swim. There was a clogged toilet in the ladies room that did not get fixed all day. The men's room required a key card which was broken so my boyfriend had to track someone down to be let in each time. No one showed him where to go, any amenities, did not give him a robe or a locker...what was he paying $50 for? There was no attendant in the men's room. The attendant in the ladies room was wonderful, she showed me around, how to use the lockers, and gave me a robe. However when we returned later in the evening, there was no one working in the entire spa besides the salon. There was 1 towel left in the pool area and a few in the showers. There were balls of hair in the pool and the floors were soaked, a definite slip risk. Even with the kids gone, the pool and hot tubs were still crowded and noisy, it did not feel like a spa atmosphere. There was loud club music playing the whole time. No staff ever came in the pool area to clean up, bring new towels, take food or drink orders, etc. When we checked out we leaned there was an automatic 18% gratuity added to our bill. I always tip my masseuse and did not appreciate this forced amount. I would not waste my money here in the future. The g spa has similar amenities but is a much nicer experience, or I'd try Mohegan sun's spa. We were really disappointed after spending over $200 to have a lackluster day. read more

Just got an express mani pedi this afternoon. I can only speak to the salon part of the spa as I did not indulge in any spa services other than my nails, but the salon was nice. As at any hotel spa, the services were priced higher than you can get at a normal nail salon, but the facilities were clean and my nails turned out nicely. Pedicure chairs weren't as updated and there wasn't a huge selection of colors, but it was relaxing and quiet. Probably the worst spa I've ever been to.... Especially knowing that next door, G Spa at MGM Grand, was one of the best... Where you check in is miles away from where you get into your robe. Then after you get into your super thin, old robe and disposable-like slippers, you must trek all the way back thru, thru spa lobby, salon, men/women, and into the "waiting area" -- I have been in better doctor waiting rooms. Right down to every detail (loud tv, cheap basic seats, unisex, one wall is GLASS to lobby area where anyone can see you in your paper thin robe) Was then led all the way BACK thru salon for 80 minute facial. Esthetician didn't mutter a word, no name, handshake, nothing. Into a "treatment" room just off of the hair salon. Tiny, hot, loud. All "lounge" rooms were low grade, old (cigarette stains on carpet--- just what I want to see while spending $200 on a treatment...) reminded me of a YMCA locker room. No kidding. Facial was mediocre - at best. 20 of the 80 min facial was spent getting the mask off my face - it would not budge. So at the end, my face was raw from the constant scrubbing. Which was worsened by the fact that they use everything disposable - gas station toilet paper grade "tissue." I had no idea at any point what she was doing to me. So much in fact that I finally asked, and turns out she was doing a completely different facial than what I had prepaid for. I had to be refunded the $60 difference - Was also set up to get eyebrow wax but it was never brought up, so I decided to not BRING it up - did not want them near my eyebrows....2nd refund. By contrast, probably 1,000 feet away, is the G Spa at MGM Grand. SO SO SO much better! One of the best. Will never visit Norwich Spa at Foxwoods again. Which is a shame... I was really excited to have my girls' spa day since I had just moved and was in dire need of pampering. For the money you spend on services here, you really should receive better quality. Overall, my attendants were super nice - no complaints there at all. It's more about the place itself and the management aspect of it. Our receptionist was pretty much clueless. Forgot to get us our robes (walking around naked is an option? LOL) and took us to the wrong waiting area so we were late to our first service. The second reception desk was also a mess. Two young college students working, but acting as if they were in the hallways of a high school. I didn't go there to hear loud noise and obnoxiousness - I wanted peace and quiet. Their "lounge" area is also strange. Felt more like a doctor's office than a spa. Loud TV tuned to an RV show (???) and a whole glass wall where anyone can walk by and see you in your robe. I felt so uncomfortable that I had to go back to the lockers (which are a mile away) to put my bra back on! About the services - I think they are priced rather steeply for the quality of the treatments. I paid $65 for a honey & milk mani that was as ghetto as it gets. I had to get up from my station and walk to a sink where the attendant proceeded to scrub my hands with a mixture of salts and honey. It was awkward at best. She walked away and said, "Wash your hands and scrub your nails if you have to." Wait, I'm sorry, I thought I was paying them to do this for me?... Anyhow, the pedicure was a failure too. The attendant scrubbed my feet for 15 seconds each and called it a day. My feet came out looking just as they went in. The only service I actually enjoyed was the massage. My attendant was super friendly and QUIET during the massage! What a blessing to not have a masseuse that yaps the whole hour! LOL I really liked her - if only for her silence. I am a big spa person, so I am speaking from experience. I only came to Foxwoods on this trip to try this spa out. I do not gamble and i was not there for anything else. This Spa really did not give me my money's worth. I spent $236 for a scrub which was supposed to entail a 50 minute salt scrub and massage. 1. The massage was hardly 10 minutes in total. 2. I choose an "add on" service which didn't extend the amount of time of the full service - Most commonly Spa's will extend the time of your service in order to include any add ons since you are paying extra but not this spa. 3. The whole thing lasted only 30 minutes (salt scrub and massage) and they blamed it on us being ON TIME (8 am service, we arrived at 8:03 I have a picture for proof). They explained that IF we would have gotten there early then getting set up (going to room, getting a robe, and undressing) would not have taken away from our service time. Most spas would schedule you for 7:45 if they want you to be there at 7:45 not 8 and then cut your service short since you weren't there at 7:45 4. They are not working for their tip and it shows since it's automatically included and set at 18% every spa allows you to choose your tip that way they work for it. 5. Every spa in the world that I have been to, mostly NY, has a spa hang out area with drinks and fruits, this place had a pool and hot tub but nothing else and their waiting room didn't even have water, they give you an 8 ounce bottle after service. 6. I went here on Valentine's Day this year and got my hair done. I was supposed to get a full foil really just because my roots were awful but instead I got chaos. My stylist did not even speak clear English. I kept trying to convey what I wanted for my hair and she was not understanding. She completely broke my hair and ruined the pattern it already had. To be honest, in the end my highlights did not look terrible but my roots were two inches of bright orange, while the rest of my head was blonde. Then we proceeded to cut it and blow it out. I asked for only the dead ends. Next thing you know I have 3 inches off my hair and angles and layers. The appointment was filled with confusion and chaos. I did not see a manager at one point during my 4 hour long appointment- yes 4 hours for a foil. My stylist told me my roots would fade in a few washes so I left relatively pleased. I washed my hair 8 times throughout the week and they did not fade in the slightest but got brassier so I called back. They agreed to correct my hair free of charge in a few days but honestly after the second appointment I would have taken the first hair. I drove the 1.5 hours to my appointment on a Friday and went in and told the new stylist what I wanted. She seemed more knowledgable, apologized for my previous experience and said she would fix it. She informed me that my hair would be lighter, but it would all blend together nicely. During this 4 hour appointment, she proceeded to bleach the middle 3 inches of my hair PLATINUM blonde while the rest of my head just had had blonde/brown highlights. I asked as the foils were coming out of it would stay this blonde and I was told it would be toned down in the sink. After washing it out the blonde streak was still very evident but we went to dry it anyways. During the drying process it still looked brassy to me but I was advised it was just the light. She offered to tone it again but said she did not think it would change much. I looked in the mirror at my bleach blonde/ brassier hair and didn't think it initially looked terrible because I was told a couple washes with purple shampoo would do the trick. During this visit I did not see a manager either. Well I washed my hair probably 5 times over the next few days with it only getting worse. I was embarrassed about how my hair looked down because it was so blonde I decided to wear it up in a ponytail, only to then find out my hair was much more worse than I had thought. I found a giant streak of platinum blonde in the center that did not match the rest of my head and it was safe to say I was mortified. I work in a hospital and I am a bartender so my appearance matters. I felt so uncomfortable in my own hair that I immediately contacted my host to give me the manager of the spas information. The spa manager called me back the next day and was initially very nice and told me she would consult her stylists and call me back. Another manager called me back and she made me feel like I was in the wrong. I am in the customer service industry and I know the customer is always right. I am not one to typically complain but it's my hair and I felt uncomfortable. Well during the duration of the call she told me she was under the impression I was happy when I left the spa. I told her I did not directly tell the stylist I was unhappy but I was also told it would fade out during the next few washes. Plus I am the type of person who would rather speak to a manager than tell the person directly it sucks. Bu there was no manager there to speak to at the time. She told me because I had naturally dark hair it was my issue and that it happens and if I wanted to I could come in again and get I fixed. I contemplated fixing it but after two different stylists screwed up my hair I did not trust anyone there. I told her no thank you and she did not offer me a refund or anything just said sorry. A few days later I woke up at 5 am and drove 3 hours back to my hometown and got my hairdresser to fix my hair. In 4.5 hours she eliminated all the chaos that went on with my hair and removed the bleach and the brassy tone. $250 spent at the Norwich spa I will never see and another $120 at my hair salon to fix it. I will never see anyone besides my hair stylist and I will certainly NEVER return to the Norwich Spa at Foxwoods and I advise you to be cautious of the same. read more

Sorry folks, for a nail repair, and express manicure which was indeed 20 minutes, my 48.00 would have been better spent at a poker table in the casino. This spa was, at one time, one of the grand establishments in Norwich. I used to go there for pampering when I was a young working woman. With this branch at foxwoods, I was hoping for the same caliber service. I have now had two massages here, and three manicures strictly for convenience sake, and I will tell you I am now done. I am not stepping foot in the salon ever again. The price points, for the lack of elegance, are an insult, and the services themselves are average. My manicurist looked at my nails and made inappropriate comments about the manner in which they were done, and I found that very unprofessional and inappropriate. Ladies, save your money, or better yet: spend it for a real pampering experience. This is NOT it. Find a real spa and not one tied to a casino, masquerading as a luxurious spa experience. read more

I go to spas as a treat for myself, especially being a person with a limited budget. My favorite service is a facial, so I booked one. The experience started with my friend and I being very confused as to where the waiting room was. There wasn't a soul in sight to direct us. Once someone came back, they informed us we had been waiting in the wrong place for about 10 minutes. They directed us to the correct waiting area, which was appalling. We were in an area with both men and women, waiting in what felt like a glass zoo. People coming off the elevator were just walking by and staring at us. Once my technician came to get me (late), she led me to the worlds smallest room. As I lay on the bed, my feet were touching the wall, and I am only 5'5". The facial really was only average, and she was chewing gum the entire time. I filled out a comment card while checking out, asking for a call back from the manager regarding the experience and never received one. Clearly from my experience and the majority of the reviews on here, customer satisfaction is not something they are the least bit concerned with. I highly recommend the spa at Mohegan Sun and look forward to trying out the G Spa just on the other side of the resort. read more

My friend and I booked a "Girls Night Out" spa and stay package to celebrate our birthdays. We both visit spas with enough regularity to know what to expect, generally speaking. This spa did not come close to meeting our expectations. Upon entering, we were greeted by a pleasant, rather confused gentleman who checked us in. He seemed unfamiliar with the procedure and required assistance from another employee. Once checked in, it took several seconds for them to provide directions spa attendant desk. The spa itself was clean, well maintained and well appointed. This is the only reason why I gave two stars. However the atmosphere was ruined by the fact that the employees we met spoke in very loud voices, so they could be heard around corners. We were given a tour of each area, (which included the statement, "I don't even know what to say about this room. There's sinks and stuff here.") then were instructed to get changed and go to the waiting area. Most spas, especially the higher end ones, that I have visited have relaxation rooms. This room was anything but that, with a TV on, bright lights and no comfortable seating. Neither of our two masseuses appeared to be trained in massage techniques. My masseuse was unresponsive to my requests for lighter pressure. Each time I asked, she would reduce the pressure for a couple of seconds, then revert back. Additionally, some of the "techniques" were very odd and felt uncomfortable. (No joke - she jiggled my behind. What kind of technique is that???) My friend's masseuse continually took breaks during the massage, making it feel very choppy and difficult to relax. When she came to her neck, she did not massage, but rather just pressed into her neck one time and held her thumbs there. Overall, we both left the massage area feeling unsatisfied and decidedly NOT relaxed. Our pedicures were also unsatisfying. Neither my friend nor I have EVER had a pedicure (and I usually go every 10-12 weeks to wherever I can get a groupon or some kind of deal) that did not include exfoliation. When asked about this, the pedicurist informed us that our pedicure with our package didn't include it, and if we wanted that service, we would need to purchase a spa pedicure at a minimum of $70. It could not be added on. We asked to speak to the manager, who repeated that it wasn't included in our package. She explained that her pedicurist was wrong and we could have added the exfoliation on for an additional $40. FORTY DOLLARS. She also explained that express pedicure that was included in our package was "just a fancy way of saying 'polish change'". An express pedicure, AKA polish change, at Norwich Spa is $45!!! ALMOST the price of the up-charge. In the end, she offered no suggestions to resolve our issues (and we would gladly have paid a reasonable price for a reasonable solution...) We left there entirely dissatisfied, not at all relaxed, and with unexfoliated feet. I will never again visit Norwich Spa and I would never recommend it. Foxwoods is a large casino with luxurious hotels. The prices in the spa are not cheap. I expected some level of customer service, and certainly expected better results than I would have gotten at the corner nail shop for $28. I should have checked the reviews first, I guess. The G Spa at MGM got fabulous reviews. Guess I'll go there next time. Very disappointing, Foxwoods. read more

I was given a gift certificate, and my friend and I came to this spa because of her employee discount. She got her eyebrows waxed (which was done quickly but nicely, and in a very calming and quiet environment), and then we both got aromatherapy massages. The spa was very quiet, and some of our service was the slightest bit slow, since we were the only 2 there for treatments. The massage itself (my first ever!) was amazing! The staff were incredibly kind and flexible with us. We had asked for a room together, but that hadn't been passed on the the masseuses. They fixed the problem (which was probably so easy since it was just the 2 of us there), and gave us tips to keep feeling well (since it was our first time). After the massage we took advantage of the sauna, steam room, hot tub, and showers. An amazing experience I hope to be able to have again! read more

I'm in my mid 40's and moderately high maintenance when it comes to all things beauty and spa. I'm an absolute spa addict, having traveled extensively and experienced many across the United States and Caribbean, and believe me when I say I'm extremely cautious with selecting someone to work on my hair. So suffice it to say, I know what's what and what's just a bunch of fluff. The Norwich Spa at Foxwoods consistently provides very, VERY high quality services fit for the most discerning clientele. I've run through the entire spa menu there; nail care, body treatments, facials, massage therapy options and now I'm exploring the wonderful world of hair care. NEVER have I had a bad experience. In fact, here is where I've had the BEST mani pedi's, among the best facials, and absolutely--by FAR--the most amazing therapeutic massages by one little red headed genius in consistently high demand: Milaina. Seriously folks, no one can hold a candle to this chick. I promise you that! But you better book her early because the celebrity entertainers specifically ask for her when they're in town. The problems you see in the negative reviews are most likely reviewed by gamblers (or their wives) who were comped their services for free, and they didn't get treated quite with the level of "supreme royal red carpet" that is typically demanded by the unequivocally privileged, poor souls; spoiled by many years of white gloved fanny wiping. :::First world problems::: So take it from me...I'm giving it to you straight. We didn't get any treatments at the spa, but we all paid for the $25 pass and my friend and I did attend a makeup/wine event while we were there. The makeup event was fantastic! I don't think it is a regular thing though. The facilities were nice- we enjoyed spending time in the hot tub, steam room, and sauna. Unfortunately we couldn't enjoy the pool because there were SO MANY children splashing around. I also wish there were more hot tubs because other groups of women were waiting for us to get out, so it just felt a little awkward. Also when I took a shower in there it turns out the drain was clogged so it flooded everywhere. I think next time I go to Foxwoods I'll just spring the extra cash and go to G Spa, which I've also been to before and loved! read more

Wish I'd read the reviews first! I had color and a bang trim. To trim my bangs, she cut across in a straight line. The color is so subtle i can only see it in the stains it leaves in my towel. And of course, I was not not told this could happen. I would never go back and I strongly suggest that no one go. read more

Not worth the money.....I booked the 80 minute pedicure. Technician was polite. Salon was clean. However, "massage" chairs are from 10+ years ago and just shake randomly. Pedicure was 50 minutes maximum. Limited massage. Not even close to what is described on the website. At 130.00 with tax and tip, I would have paid less then half of that at any nail salon and received the same if not better service. Will not be back. read more
