Don't bother ordering food from GT Dragon anymore. As mentioned in other reviews, the original owners of this great little place sold, and new owners are completely destroying the customer base they had built up. The food is really, really bad now. Nothing redeeming about it. It's sad. We've been patrons of this place since we moved to Georgetown +10 years ago, and it went downhill so quickly. We gave it a solid 4 tries over the last year and a half, and we've decided not to waste any more money and time here. It's terrible. Find anywhere else to eat. read more

Really disappointed in this place since it changed ownership. The food has really gone downhill. Egg rolls and chicken balls all over cooked. The General Tso Chicken used to be so good and how it's served as a box of deep fried chicken wjth a sauce in the side that you have to toss yourself. Will never be going back! We ordered Spring rolls, Egg rolls, Wonton Soup, Sweet and Sour Chicken, and Egg Noodles with Beef. The so-called Beef was Deli Style Beef cut into chunks. I always order from here on weekends as the delivery girl is always very friendly and nice. She remembers us every time and it's always a pleasure to see her and she always delivers our food on time. We ordered last weekend and a taxi guy came to the door and was rude and impatient with us even though he was the one who was 25 minutes late. This experience made us want to call another restaurant as no customers should feel like this when getting their food delivered. This has to be one of the worst Chinese restaurant I've ever had food from. Ordered threw Uber eats and took almost 2 hours to get the food. The food was horrible, I've never had a worse meal in my life. The noddles were disgusting and the meat was even worse. I ordered the general tso's chicken and it literally just tasted like they smothered it with jelly it was one of the grosses things I've ever eaten. The worse place to get Chinese especially if a guy named Ken is working. He will ignore you and not even give you a time of day and also tell you they are close when they are open and the time for closure is posted on there website with a sign saying there lunch menu is available til 3am! I would advise you not to waste your time on the most bland Chinese food and horrible customer service. I think it is time to move on to something else as a restaurant or do a facelift as it is embarrassing and a poor reflection of Georgetown. read more

Bad service, I ordered the dinner for three and they gave me a smaller dinner size but charged me the bigger one I had asked for. Though the portions were large, everything tastes the exact same... The sesame chicken, sweet and sour chicken, General tsao chicken. They were bland, oily and just coated in a unbalanced red sweet sauce. There is no depth of flavour and no distinguishing factors in the dishes so when ordering from their menu, don't worry if you'll like one item more than the other because, frankly, it will all taste the same. Food is average, service is poor. We ordered a small take-out meal for the first time, as we live around the corner. However, they managed to forget one of the three dishes. They said we could come back to get it (gee, thanks for offering to deliver YOUR mistake). When we eventually picked up the dish, the owner made a point of explaining that the dish was smaller because it was part of a combo. Wow! Now THAT'S customer service! Most restaurants with a modicum of respect would apologize (nope!) and offer some rice or something for having put us out of our way. Not here. They give you less food. We'll stick to The Hakka Place on Guelph next time... always spectacular food and excellent service. Bye-bye GT Dragon! read more

As far as Chinese goes in Georgetown, this place is probably the better choice. Service is quick, and the food is always hot! If you spend over $25 you get a bonus app (wings, wontons etc). We've sampled just about everything. As with most Canadian Chinese places many of the sauces are similar. The General Taos is good, similar to the ginger chicken. We wish you could order half portions (especially of the sweet and sour chicken). You get a decent portion of meat with your order, could use some more veggies! Ho fun and Cantonese noodles are all good. Need dishes are good (pepper, broccoli). They were the only place opened during the ice storm (2014) and made yummy food when we had nothing to eat!! read more

I tried this place when I first moved to the area. Swore I would never return. A promo flyer arrived in the mail the other day, figured I would give it another try. So much for second chances. The bland chicken fried rice only assumed flavour once I dumped a batch of soy sauce all over. Chicken w/veg and almonds should be relabeled chicken w/celery, one piece of mushroom and five almonds, a flavourless mess. The Moo Goo Guy Pan, should have stayed in the pan with the ladles of oil it was served in...oh, and they forgot my gravy...probably a blessing in disguise. We ordered for the first time and I would say the food is just ok but when I went to pick up my food I saw a sign that said "Free (food item) for orders over $30 if picked up". I asked about this and was told I could not get the free item because I was paying debt instead of cash. Normally I would understand this policy however my food order was almost $100 AND I was a new customer!! I commented that for the $0.50 charge for using debt that a $100 order should be eligible. The counter person just shrugged her shoulders. Honestly, I can live without the free item but the point is this place was totally lacking in customer service. Will try some place else next time. read more

Never again! Poor customer service! We received no sweet and sour sauce with our 2 orders of sweet and sour chicken balls and was short 1 order of steamed rice. Called to notify of this situation and they refused to get us what we were missing because they were busy. This is totally unacceptable! Who eats sweet and sour chicken balls with the sauce? This is actually our 3rd mishap with GT Dragon. 1st time we were missing the shrimp in our Cantonese chow mien and just recently no fortune cookies with our order. For me this wasn't a huge problem but to my boys it was! While trying to solve this problem with them on the phone, they actually hung up on me! Big mistake! read more
