I ordered takeout dinner enough for 3...Gen.Tao,plus noodles,chicken balls, broccoli etc..... this was our first time trying this location.. it was without a doubt, the worst food I've ever tasted!...No i could not eat it! The general was not edible, hard,stringy,and definitely not general.tao!..looked like left over pieces of something, but dont know what?..the chicken balls were hard as baseballs!...not joking, everything was horrible, also, it seemed like the food was cooked 12 hours ago!...probably leftovers!!!!.I'm so disgusted!!... will never order there again!...good luck, I'm not sure how long you can keep serving food like this...and still have a business. read more

Everything was excellent ordered on Uber eats a couple of times. Realize the food was excellent called the restaurant directly and they delivered to my house since then I've ordered a few times. My go-to Chinese takeout place that I don't get often because my family doesn't like Chinese food, so I have to do without. Last week I vetoed them and ordered it because I had a huge craving! Ordered takeout dinner for two on a weeknight. Ready in ten minutes for pickup. If you pay cash I believe there is a discount, but I didn't have cash. Still reasonably priced and the dinner for two fed three adults and there were leftovers. Food was nice and fresh, hot. I recommend. Inside of restaurant looks clean but dated. Stopped in for pick up, thought I'd give it a try after ordering we waited around 10 minutes and the customer service was great We ordered the chicken fried rice Egg rolls Won ton soup Shanghai noodles Beef with broccoli The wonton soup had a funny taste to them, as if they had been frozen for too long The rice was not your typical Chinese rice, it was rice with peas chicken and soy sauce, very boring Egg rolls we super greasy but probably the favourite of items I ordered The Shanghai noodles were decent, not what I was accustomed to when I order Shanghai noodles, these had a light curry taste And the beef with broccoli had a funny smell to it Again, it wasn't horrible but it wasn't great either I would no return read more

I have been looking.. nay... searching for an old-school, North-American-style Chinese Food joint that delivers to my house in Vaughan, and have been met with nothing but disappointment, time after time again. Rejoice waistline! Or rather, weep. For I have finally found what I've been looking for. Maple Garden Chinese has it all: 1)The menu has everything I like on it 2)The proteins are cooked perfectly and are really high quality 3)The food is not overly greasy and disgusting 4)They know how to cook everything on the menu properly, so you can feel safe if you go outside the usual orders once in a while 5)They deliver in a large area and food arrives fast and PIPING hot it's not rocket science. I'm seriously such a cheap date when it comes to this kind of food, but most of the places around here are just not good. I'm taking one star off because I don't give 5 stars out to a place unless I've tried it more than a few times, but I'm confident with my next order this one will get bumped up. I hope. read more

Pretty good take out. Was fresh and reasonably priced. The inside of the place is pretty basic with a few tables for eat in. I used to order from this place years ago then stopped because of a few issues. The old owner/manager was rude and that was one of the reasons I stopped going, It must be under new management now ? I read a few reviews on yelp and decided to give it a try again since it's been years. The guys there today were young and very nice and accommodating to sauce on the side. We ordered our food at 12:45pm and the person who took the other told me it would be ready by 1:30pm. I specified that i wanted extras spice on the dishes that optioned it and he said sure no worries. We went to pick up the food - it was not even ready nor was it even started. we had to wait another 30 minutes as there were others in line. We had to listen to the manager swear to the person who took the order. when we took the order home, it was tasteless and the order was not spicy . The Shrimp in spicy peanut sauce was a wash.. the dish was tasteless and mild. The Szechuan Beef (even after i told them not to add sugar and to add extra spice) it was tasteless. VERY DISSAPPOINTED. Living in Maple for almost a decade now, friends and I have frequented Maple Garden whenever we had cravings for quick, no hassle Chinese food. Having been a regular for so long, I have noted that the quality of this restaurant has fluctuated over the last few years. Not a great place to sit down and eat, a cramped an out dated seating supports this notion. Take out or delivery all the way. Try to pay cash, as you will receive a discount for this. Overall the food has gone from better than average to just decent. The General Tso's Chicken is still tasty, but the quality of chicken used is not one that is exciting. Food is a little greasy, yet it always hits the spot when quality is not of the utmost concern. Also, the chicken balls (although heavily breaded) are rather tasty. The service here is great, deliveries are generally smooth and efficient, and they are always friendly in my dealings. Overall average experience - nothing special, but not too much to complain about. read more

First time there, counter person was grumpy. Second time, the food was somewhat bland. Third time, cancelled my order. Now, I know that it was New Year's Eve, but I ordered it early and was told 1 hour. Got there after 1 hour, and they still hadn't started it. They said come back in 1 hour, just to be safe. Ordered takeout on a Saturday night. First off, you better check Google maps before picking up if you don't know where it is, it can be hard to find. When I went in to get the food, there wasn't a sole in this place except for the owner (atleast I'm assuming he's the owner). That's usually not a good sign. However, the food was excellent!! Just what we were looking for, North American style chine food! Reminds me of what we used to get in Montreal. Price is very reasonable, and we got 10% off at the counter for paying with cash. We ordered 4 dishes for delivery - beef fried rice (expect to find bits of beef, peas, onions & black bean bits), sweet & sour pork Cantonese style (this was so not authentic & I know because my parents owed a Chinese restaurant for over 25 years). Basically the pork was boneless ribs cut up & masquerading in sweet & sour black bean sauce! Stir fried bok choy - cut up & dosed in yet again black bean sauce this dish didn't even call for black bean sauce! The only dish passable was lemon chicken but then what can go wrong with deep fried battered chicken? The kicker - they over charged me with what may appear to be delivery charges but I was supposed to get free delivery cause i live in the area!
