Truly a hidden gem, this gym is tucked inside a residential complex in the Lougheed area…read more Definitely a no-frills kind of gym, the equipment and decor isn't the newest and the bathrooms are kind of cramped, but they have mostly everything that you would need in a gym and they are undergoing renovations. My favourite aspects of this gym are the 4 squat racks and deadlift area which are still not too common. At my previous gym, I always found myself waiting for the one squat rack. Here, there isn't much of a wait. People seem friendly and put away their weights, there is free parking, membership is on par with chain-gyms, and there's a pool too. Also, the people coming here seem to be on a time-crunch and don't stall or look at their phones as much. They seem to know what they are doing so sharing equipment is much easier. For those used to the nicer-looking chain-gyms, the weights don't go up increments of 2.5lb if you're used to that. People who are not used to only using free-weights and want to use machines may find that F2K doesn't offer enough variety of gym machines, nor are they very new. The TVs are also limited, not sure if that's a pro or con to some people. Overall, this is a good gym. I hope not too many people come here and ovecrowd it. Also, sometimes they blast Adele on the speakers. I think good-taste is important in a gym, don't you?

The instructors here showed an alarming lack of professionalism and misused their authority to unfairly target and humiliate him. They made false accusations, shouted at him without cause, punished him with arbitrary "time-outs," and consistently treated him with disrespect. Their behavior was not only inappropriate but also harmful. As a parent, I find this completely unacceptable. Children should feel safe, supported, and encouraged--not shamed, blamed, or bullied by the very people entrusted to care for them.

Good - 10 visit punchcard ($54.00 + GST) - this is the cost with a Be Active Pass card - 2 squash courts and 3 table tennis tables - Squash league ($18.00 to spare (up to 3 games), $63.00 for part time (up to 8 games) and $147.00 for full time) - Large multi-purpose gym for volleyball, badminton, basketball, soccer, etc. - Multiple drop-in times for sports (ie. Friday volleyball is very popular) - Less than 10 minute walk from the Metrotown skytrain - A couple of EV charging stations ($2.00/hour) Bad - Archaic booking system (no online booking system available. You have to call to book a squash/racquetball court) - Half the time when you call, staff doesn't answer - Downstairs weight room is cramped - 1 combo court (normally used for squash or racquetball but they currently refuse to move it) - 50% of the time the men's shower facilities don't have body wash You get what you pay for at Bonsor. The cardio room is packed with treds, bikes, seated belt rower, elliptical machine and I think a stair climber. The weight room could use a few more key benches and one or two more machines. I mainly go around 7:30am-8am. There tends to be the same group of people everyday getting in a game of squash, badminton or fitness before work. It's never been packed and I've not had to wait for any machine or weights yet. I plan on speaking with them about putting in some new benches/machines, I'll have to write a follow up review to that conversation and outcome. I signed up for a year and don't see why I wouldn't sign up for another.

I haven't played doubles yet but I will try one day! It's well located next to Queen Elizabeth park, they have a parking lot and also a bar/restaurant upstairs for food after a an intense badminton or squash match with TVs to catch the hockey games playing that night. All in all, I've been pleased when I go there. I'm not a member, i go with a coworker that is a guest and play there when my squash league plays the home team. Friendly members and competitive squash team!

Decent sized venue space in the middle of East Van…read more Parking is plentiful in the lot surrounding the building. The venue consists of a "large room" and a "small room", which is designed more for 2 separate events. Bit of a walk between them, which led to a bit of confusion as the event I was attending took up both rooms. Fortunately they had plenty of helpful staff to guide us around.

I visited this large venue last night for the annual Make-It arts & crafts convention and, for the…read moremost part, I was impressed with the facility. I liked how it is easily accessible, being right on Commercial (the Skytrain literally passes right in front of the Center, and the station is a few minutes' walk away). Inside, the CCC is large, comprised of two large rooms (which, of course, open up to each other), ample and modern bathrooms, and is open and clean and easy to navigate. There is free wifi here (bonus!). Ask for the password when you enter. Other reviewers have lauded the parking availability here but, to me, this was the one area I found lacking (hence my 4-star rating and not 5). Sure, when there's a smaller or medium-sized event taking place here, the parking availability would suffice, but for a larger-scale event like the Make-It convention, there definitely was not enough parking stalls in the lot for the amount of vehicles needing one. (Furthermore, the lay-out of the parking lot is not ideal, with offshoots and oddly-shaped smaller lots adjoining the main, primary parking lot in front). Many of us last night were circling the wagons, looking for spots, but all were taken, as were all the spots on neighboring streets (most were designated for "resident permit holders", anyways). We ended up parking a few blocks away at the community center at Trout Lake. Not sure if that was kosher or not. I'm mentioning this for anyone who might have mobility issues and cannot walk far; if that's the case, make sure you go early to your event so as to snag a parking spot in the CCC parking lot. FYI.

I was pregnant, and as it was a risky pregnancy, I asked to freeze my membership. The staff member on the phone was very helpful and informed me that they would call me BEFORE I would be charged, close to the end of the period of freeze. They didn't call me and I WAS CHARGED even though I was unable to practice any physical activity. I didn't receive any refund, even I saying that I could send them the doctor's note. 2. Then, with a newborn at home, I requested the freeze again in a different period, and 2 days later, I WAS CHARGED. This is unacceptable. It is no the customer problem how is the financial dynamic of the company. We didn't receive the refund! Finally, we requested to cancel the membership and also because we moved to Calgary. The staff member said that they need 30 days notice - what wasn't informed to us when we signed up. We said that we wanted to cancel right away and we also requested our refund for what we were charged on the 2nd time. The lady said that she would cancel it but the refund could not be made. At the end of the day, we basically paid the 30 days notice with the money that we should receive as a refund (for the 2nd inappropriate charge). We feel extremely harmed by this company, we feel that we were charged inappropriately. This is a company that cannot be trusted and that does not treat its customers honestly. They are made on-site as far as I know. - Full bar with domestic and import beers, spirits including scotches and 6 beers on tap. Cons - A little bit stuffy in some way with metal plaques on the walls from old events, this place really has 125 years of history - A private member's club, so you won't be able to just walk into the venue to enjoy the view - There is one pulldown screen on stage and the projector was decent but could be a bit better - Audio was also not as loud as it needed to be and it was already on max - They had wired mics, no wireless Damage -A few thousand dollars. Bar staff were full of laughs, good humour, and friendly. The venue is wildly charming, the main hall has a wrap around licensed deck that looks over Coal Harbour providing stunning views day and night. Our guests from the prairie provinces were in awe all night. Emelle's catering, exclusive caterer, provided food and service for the wedding and we couldn't have been happier. Food was 5 star, and service was friendly, efficient, and unobtrusive. Venue and alcohol service costs are very affordable, especially in comparison to other local venues. Can't wait to have another event there!
